Just got my omicron the other day. It took me about a day to get the hang of it. Now Im taking pretty big rips off of it. You gotta hit it slow, soft and for along time. Then you get those massive chocking rips! I just gotta find some stronger concentrates.

Tinc for e-cigs is made from vegetable glycerin. E liquids for nicotine use PG to cut the thickness of VG, provide some "hit" in the throat. You can cut VG with high octane rum or everclear. When I make VG tinc I use 10% or so of Everclear that I have made into a Green Dragon. It makes the glycerin flow better and adds trichomes to bump the potency. Although I have never tried it with BHO, I have added Qwiso to my tinc. My smoking tincture is plenty strong, but its way more subtle. It accumulates as you vape and then eventually you realize you are medicated and all is well. The real wonder of this is that you can do this anywhere anytime and no one will know. Because the trichomes don't actually combust but are merely carried in tinc you need to decarboxylate.

ok a few thoughts after 2 months of use
shatter takes an extra few primes, softer oils make the biggest clouds. waxes that wont melt into liquid give the biggest trouble.

i have put more than an ounce of oil through mine. mostly in a few carts, that i just keep topping off.

the fill tool is the shit! i can do a gram in about 30 seconds.

the charger for the omicron will break! it is a piece of shit....the omicron is a nice unit though, well built. thcsci warrantied my first broken charger, i just soldered the SECOND broken charger myself. better than new actually (now that i did a propper job of soldering it)

now i am on the waiting list for the PERSEI and holy shit, that thing is gonna replace my skillet.

yup, my charger broke on my Omicron, it was the last time i used it....

because i use the ESkillet, and it smacks the shit out of my Omicrons. I USE IT EVERY SINGLE DAY! i do A LOT of driving, so the pen works perfectly for me....

So I want to get one of these. Either an E-Skillet if I can find one, or if not the next best thing. If anyone knows which clubs in the bay area have these, please send me a pm and let me know. I'd buy the Omicron, which seems like it's the most available refillable version, but Krunch made it sound like the E-Skillet gives bigger hits.

The Persei looks like it's big.

he just came over for a refill, that 2/3 of a gram lasted 73 hits he said.....

i never really counted before, i asked him if he could, and am kinda BLOWN AWAY at the inefficiency of this thing.....

It really is. I got almost a week off one charge and I went through a gram of oil and half a gram of amber. The gram of bho cart gave me more than 100 rips.

We should get a little database going of what cortomizers work the best with the eskillet. The greensmart 808 def work. The fitting is called a 510 fitting and most of the ecigs have the same one, [the omicron is different-booo]. Dude at the vapor store had some clear ones that look sick but they wont be in for at least another week. There is also dual coil models.
My buddy picked up the hardcore vaporizers def. can't call this one a pen.

This thing is crazy no auto shut-off just keep going till you choke. My bud is a pretty heavy oil head and he was high as a kite in like five minutes.

I have a couple empty/used cartridges from my vape pen, but i didnt think they would be refillable? Now im wondering if i get a e-skillet, if these empty cartridges i already have will work... They are literally identical, come in the same box/packaging, just with a different name/logo

the greensmartliving carts come with the nicotine cotton inside, wrapped around a tube....

you have to wash and soak the cart for a while to get it clean, and clean it with an alcohol wash....

I'm getting used to my Omicron after hating it at first due to piss poor reliability. I loved when it worked, hate when it didn't. I think a big problem was using Iso oil vs BHO, since BHO has worked with no problems and huge hits. This thing also does have a bit of a learning curve.

Taste is relative to the filling material in every aspect, but about halfway through the flavor gets kinda toasty tasting(I like it). Smell is also relative, but allows me to smoke in public due to vaporization and no one realizes unless I blow it directly in their face. Its harder to detect the smell when it gets toasty. I'd like to mention only 2 people in all of Disney asked me to stop smoking, but after I told them it was vapor they had no problems with me using it. Just goes to show you how far vaping has come.

Overall, I now can not live without this thing. It really makes smoking easy and in fact, I have converted half of my stash to oil. Smoking on the go or traveling are simple now. I also must add I have chronic nausea, so being able to vape in public, especially when eating, has helped me immensely and I have been able to eat more often. I love being able to medicate quite literally anywhere with no problems.

A big variable is the availability of good oil. I can make good oil myself but don't really have a source of oil as of yet; I don't live in a medical state.

The nice thing about the Omicron is the adapters to use any 510, eGo, 901/808 so I only have to bring one pen. Keeps things nice and stealth since I only use flavored glycerin in the adapter pieces. This also allows me to use glycerin tincture based stuff in tanks or cartomizers if I wanted to make the switch. But theres nothing like the full fledged, expanding hit of clean oil. I worked hard to make it clean, so why dilute it in glycerin?

Doesn't seem like any of the vapes yet work well with dry sift/kief. If you want to use kief, most likely you'll have to make a glycerin tincture. Omicron is coming out with an herb cartridge and a nail cartridge, so you will be able to use kief in an Omicron down the line. , This is another reason I'm sticking with the Omicron, it has already made my Arizer Solo obsolete and I barely use my Extreme Q anymore either. I love all these adapters and soon to be cartridges.

The E-skillet looks nice, but reminds me of a typical E-cig. The glycerin tinctures are easier to use IMO. But I just love the idea of straight oil. My glycerin tinc's are strong, not to mention you can flavor them for further stealth, but I love how clean the Omicron is. I guess it depends on your need. Since i'm already stuck with my Omicron, I just use the adapters when I want glycerin.

As for vaping in public with straight oil, I've done it everywhere and nobody even notices. Even if they did it would be hard for them to pinpoint it on me. Just gotta be discreet in the way you exhale and make sure not to waste vapor or blow it directly in peoples face. I was just toking in Publix and nobody even looked at me....I don't think it really makes a huge difference in stealth between straight oil vs glycerin tincture, but with oil I think being discreet is more necessary. Scented glycerin is hard to detect the smell, but I hate having to constantly refill the cartridge. So far a 1g cart of BHO lasted me 5 days of heavy smoking on the go and I only went through half the cart.

Sorry if I sound like a cheerleader, but I love this thing now. If you would've asked me a week ago I would've given up my Omicron for glycerin, but after using BHO instead, my life was changed haha.

I rigged up an omicron to work a 510 cart and it worked fine,they should make some adapters. The big problem with omicron is that you have to charge from the same place that you screw the cart on. A little bit of oil drips out of the cart and then it will get on your charger and short it out. Micro usb charging units are better IMO, or even better ones that you can change the battery and run at higher voltages. For pure honey oil 510 carts are so much better than omicron carts, I think the problem with the omicron carts is the hole for air on the bottom is not big enough.
