Its hard being Obama. If you were him I am sure you could all do better but I couldnt. You see he needs help. Dont you think his heart is in the right place? Dont you think that he can think clearly about all these issues and that he is not deluded by excess religion or extreme views?
I see him as very fine indeed but thats just my opinion. I really like him and I really liked Bill Clinton too. I didnt abandon him when he got busted either.

I agree wholeheartedly with the bulk of BOG's comment. If people recall there were times where racist comments were made by other politicians during speeches. And when everything and anything you try and do gets dissected and argued the way his plans are, nothings going to get done. I have never seen a Pres take the abuse and srutiny this man has........ And that was to continue making a lot of money without paying in much in taxes. Yes, some dispensories pay tax, but the bulk of people aren't. And in a way is it fair? Is it fair to the $60,000 a year teacher to pay in $10 to $15,000 in taxes and the guy selling Cannabis is making $100,000 and paying in nothing? Sure, none of us like paying taxes. But at the same time States and Countries don't run for free.
So, what is it some of you want? I'll tell you what you want. You want Cannabis to stay illegal but you want the med scene to remain untouched so you can continue to make a lot of money and let other people pay the taxes. You told the Feds this when you pushed for 19 to fail. And now after you vote down legalization on a State level you want to blame Obama for everything. What's he supposed to do? What did you give him to work with?
And be careful when you wish him out of the big house. Because you may get your wish. You better remember what it was like six years ago. And you have another Republican now that thinks people should do life in prison for two Cannabis offenses. And you can say things are worse now than they were six years ago and I'll tell you bullshit. And who knows where the Country and the world would be headed had 19 passed. But we'll never know.

Again just because the word exective appears in the label applied it doesn't mean it's under the control of the Executive branch. Also the link and quote I provide does not say it's an executive branch it says it is an executive office. Just as the State Department is but the Secratery of State does not follow the order of the Executive Branch, if so then Bush would never have had to lie to Powell to get him to do what he wanted. He could have simply ordered him and Powell would have jumped rather then questioned. At least in your fantasy view of the world.

We've seen plenty of recent examples of how change can be achieved thru the internet, it was an Internet movement that got BOA not to start charging ATM fee's. It was an internet movement that got congress to indefinately shelve SOPA and PIPA. It was an internet movement that got the Susan G Koman fund to back down from it's stance against continual funding of planned Parenthood. The people still have the power and these things prove it but you know what didn't happen with those movements? None of them consisted of people just sitting on a forum saying "Oh woe is me, it's all Obama's fault". What we do here on these forums isn't much better then the Occupy movements that are quickly failing due to thier lack of organization and no clear message.

Everybody wants to blame Obama when they themselves fought against legalization if California. What message does that send? The message it sends is the majority of the people in the State of California do not want Cannabis legalized.
Can you people understand this? Cali had the chance to send a clear message to Washington that they wanted Cannabis legal. Instead they sent the opposite message.
Now because some of you chose to try and put words in my mouth on my comments let me make something clear. I am for the legalization of Cannabis. For everyone. I don't feel anyone should be jailed for Cannabis.
