If you have heard of, seen or have some high tech toys for the grow room, I would like to hear about them.

I like toys, and playing in the grow room. It is a fun hobby, and I want to know about all the latest equipment.

Tell me about your high tech toys! :)

Just got a new AC. It is all fancy and digital....

The coolest "toy" that I use is my infrared thermometer for measuring actuall canopy temps or air intake/exhaust temps. It is a battery operated one from Ryobi. It is also fun to play with!

Yeah, the temps are definetely interesting to watch. Truthfully I thought that the canopy would be hotter than it usually is. I always figured that the canopy, since the light is shining directly on it would be much hotter than ambient air temp around the grow (where the thermo are). It is not significantly different however. It is interesting to see what temp the actual bulbs are at and what the temp of incoming cool air or exhausted air is too!

I scored an infrared thermometer a few months back. It's an extremely useful tool. My latest acquisitions are a bunch of digital ballasts and some new lamps. Loving the ballasts so far.

Hmm, new things off the top of my head:

1500w HPS lights
92W VHO T-5 lights and bulbs (they have a 12-bulb!!!)
LED's (barf)
Lots of water cooling stuff, though it sounds like a lot of its junk.
Water-cooled CO2 generator *(has been around for a few years.)
MPB buckets are the latest in hydro
Tropf Blumats for coco/soil watering
Vert or stadiums for more plants per square foot
IPhone apps to allow you to view and remote control aspects of the grow

That's all I've seen lately that could be maybe be classified as new! Hope that helps
