^ right on. not enough snow for any of that right now though. Plus they dont give two shits about smoking in cali. I have gotten off the lift multiple times to see them smoking.

Yep. Super ghey.damn. tahoe still has no snow. i didnt think id be saying that this late in the season.
Hopefully January this year will be like December last year...
At least I'm not missing anything while I'm trimming....
Can't wait till a good storm hits, off to the northshore I goes.

I think either or is fine. Try them both. If you've never done either, skiing might be easier initially.
And snowboarding you can just "freeride" which means cruise around the mountain or you can get into doing more tricks and stuff.
i just like to cruise personally. Really fast.

I wish I had some pow. Falling on that hard pack freaking hurts. I knocked the wind out of myself yesterday, just from catching an edge on a freaking tree root. Granted I was going pretty fast.
Skiing an boarding can be for tricks. I recommend starting on skis if you are over 14 lol. Boarding is freaking hard to learn with out falling like 100 times a day. In fact I just sold all my snowboarding gear for a set of top of the line all mountain/powder skis. EITHER WAY WEAR A HELMET!!!

All this ice is making me get strong. Having to hold perfect form on 45 plus degree slopes of ice is really hard. There is no real stopping. It is just a controlled slide. Hold form and you will be ok. Turning is hard too because real carving is not possible. you have to completely change to the same form but the opposite side. The easiest thing to do is just go straight, but wait, it is super thin cover so roots and rocks and blocks of base ice are sticking out, and if you hit one wrong you will go flying..... and land on ice.
In the sun it is slushy and thin. I dont use my pole straps on the groomers usually, but I kept sticking my pole all the way down into mud and it gets stuck. I can even see the dirt mixing with the snow.
LEAVE HIGH PRESSURE RIDGE, LEAVE!

They are estimating some snow from the 14th to the 21st but who know.

Hmmm... Got hit with a blizzard on the way out... Ended up boarding on a nice 6" layer of powder for the day... Lots of closed runs, but we made it work... Hop a couple lines and you're good to go
