what type of hps do you use? i have been having some cool temps and have been thinking about dropping a 600 in instead of finishing with my 400. i am about 3weeks in to flower

Hey there, I see that your C99 4 is what I like to call the "Funny Leaf" pheno. The funny coloration/blotches on the leaves only show up on this pheno as it is a little more sensitive to Ph then the other phenos. I managed to get her looking normal once I started hydro, as I had control over the ec and Ph, but I didn't have this luxury in soil. Give her a Ph of 5.2 or so and she soon regains her lovely green color.

It will stretch a little bit more than the others, and is a Champagne smelling pheno, rather than the usual pineapple/grapefruit. Even if you don't manage to get her color back, it will still be a gorgeous plant, and the blotches don't seem to affect yield/quality what-so-ever!

Even though it may look like it will be a runt, it is a really good contender! I've kept a mother of all the female I got from my Bx1s, if you haven't taken clones yet, then get doing that soon!

Hope this has helped a little.

Hamburglar thanks for dropping by, I actually have 2 of the blotched pheno c99's. The #4 as you pointed out and the #3, the #3 is the runt of the c99's but it is also super dense. Both have shown this since the first true leaves started to grow, but despite the blotching they are very healthy.

I grow in f&d so I don't really have the luxury of adjusting ph/nutes per plant, but I'll keep your tip in mind for the future if either of these plants become keepers. :tiphat:

man those ladies are gonna be lookin real nice in flower. love the set up for sure! Keep Us Posted

Thanks for dropping by

I saw some bondage action and had to pull a seat

Only one way to be sure the girls stay in line, keep them tied up!

Planning on taking clones today, thanks for checking out my grow.

Ushio HiLux Opti Red, these will be flowered under the Block Buster.

Got no pics to share yet, I've been super busy with work and family, I'm hoping to get a few minutes today to take clones, and get some pics of them.

While I was training them the other day I noticed that some are starting to show sex, I haven't noted which ones or what strain, but I spied 2 males and a female. I also got myself a bit of a scare, I forgot to put the fan back down under the lights after I took pics last week. While I was training them I found 7 of the 11 were starting to rot where the stem meets the rapid rooter. When I initially tie them down I place 1 tie at the bottom of the stem to stabilize the plant and then put a second tie higher up on the plant and pull it the opposite direction of the bottom one. Being that this step is done with wire it will bruise the stem, when using rapid rooters/rockwool airflow must be maintained to help prevent this from happening. I removed the tie that holds the stems from being pulled sideways hit them with some h202 and put the fan back under the light, so far everyone is doing fine.

Thanks for following along :thank you:

Sorry for the delay everyone things have been really busy lately, I barely have enough time to tend to the garden lately let alone take pics. I'm hoping things will be back to normal shortly so I can get back to updating my threads on a regular basis.

But for now I got a quick update to share with everyone. Over the last few weeks I have culled five males to make some room for the others to grow. Unfortunately all five of the males were sweet tooth #4's, I did get 1 female out of six so it not too terrible, I'll just run the swt#4's from seed again some time next year. Things aren't all bad there is good news to share as well, it looks like I'm going to have 4 or possibly 5 female C99's.

So far I have 1 plant that I would consider a definite keeper, the c99 #1 is the fastest growing bushiest plant of the bunch, with the c99 #5 coming in second. The swt#4 I have left already smells like sweet pink grapefruit, and there isn't much smell from the c99's yet.

These Plants will be starting their first night of 12's today and will be transitioned from the maxi grow to maxi bloom. They will be moved to my dr240w and flowered under a 600w blockbuster.

On with the show ------>>>>

Heya brother, nice pics and congrats on the healthy plants :good:

Looks like you picked most of the males out of the pack already by chance for the Sweeties so that leaves plenty of females for next time ;)

But you only need one winner ;) If that baby is already smelling grapefruity then that is a sign of frosty sweet grapefruity goodness to come

The C99's are looking great too! Your plants all look very healthy. :respect:

Did you decide to harvest any pollen from any males btw?

Much love & light :joint:

Well these plants are exploding, I did the first trim up on them since they have been moved to the flowering tent. The c99 #1 is almost too dense I had to remove quite a bit of smaller suckers from it to open it up some. Lol I can barely find the base of the stem in any of these plants. Everyone got a selective defoliating last night and another training session. I dropped the light down a bit they should be used to it by now. I switched the nutes to maxi bloom with pro tekt and I'm keeping them right around 2.0, I may take them up a bit more over the next weeks. I'll have to see how they react but they were handling 1.80 under the t8s without a problem.

Almost all the clones are rooted I'm going to pot up the females today and discard the males, except for the #6 swt4. He will get potted into soil so I can hit these girls with his pollen. Sotf is gonna be a proud Grandpa!

Hopefully I'll grab a few pics tonight.

Peace
GFI

so healthy so green...thats great progress buddy, keep it up!!!

Thanks for stopping by killerweed, the plants are starting to yellow out a bit but they should back on track in a few days.

I gave them hair cuts the day before yesterday, and man is the swt4 refreshing smelling. I kept sticking my face in her to smell her refreshing grapefruit essence. No wonder sotf is always in such a good mood, u can't help but smile when you smell this girl :)

I'm still waiting on the one c99 to show hopefully by this weekend I'll be able to confirm it's sex.

Hope everyone had a good Thanksgiving.

Well today is day 9 of 12/12! Since last update I've culled two c99 males from the line up, the #3 and #4 c99's were both the blotched pheno and they never seemed to be too happy with the nutrient/ph so it's not really much of a surprise. The remaining c99's are definitely female and so is the remaining swt#4. The c99's are starting to get a faint smell to them that I can't quite put my finger on, however when working with the #5 c99 over the last week I've got a slight whiff of gun powder or burnt wood ash a few times.

The swt#4 on the other hand is starting to get stinky. Last week it had a light refreshing clean pink grapefruit smell that I couldn't get enough of, that refreshing grapefruit smell is fading and stronger grapefruit smell with a pungent undertone is taking over. Kind of like the outside of the grapefruit.

The swt#6 male is doing well.

On with the show----->>>>>>>
