I ordered a couple packs from marijuana-seeds and I was just wondering if anyone has tried this strain and can comment on it? I was looking for a strain that has strong euphoria/happiness/laughter, and based on what I read this would seem to be a good choice. I found lots of reviews/info elsewhere but strangely couldn't find anything on ICMag. Maybe it's me, cause I have trouble pulling up threads in searches here sometimes.

most are from clone, i wonder how your seed version will turn out and what method they used to create those seeds

the thread mummycat posted is the biggest blue dream thread on icmag, lots of info and opinions there

I've tried it twice, a friend of mine brought some back from CA and it's a good smoke, but I was expecting a little more potency especially being blueberry x haze. I'm sure it could just be different pheno's or like someone in that other thread brought up, maybe it was cut premature? I suppose there's only one way to really find out, grow some seeds and see what you get!

i smoked some once, it was... i can't really remember much about it cept the smell was very light and green. it smoked like...meh. ive had better mexican weed. but it was really smooth. for me personally i've had better. i don't find kush to be anything to write home about either if thats any indication. sour diesel on the other hand was pretty good after 2 blunts.

I never grew it before but I had some real blue dream before few times. I personally liked it.

Well, shit. I somehow skipped over the info that it was clone over until after placing the order. I should have taken more time to research. M-S says nothing about who the "breeder" is. I will definitely post back on here about this strain if it turns out to be good or junk. I got two packs so that should be enough to evaluate it. If nothing else, maybe it will be useful for breeding. Plus they are throwing in three feminized Bubblegum seeds so that's a nice bonus.

Wait....I totally skipped over in the seed description that these are FEMMED seeds (Maybe I shouldn't order seeds when thoroughly blazed off SSH...:kos:) So this COULD be an actual S1 selfed Blue Dream from Cali. The strain has been around a few years and I would be surprised if people weren't doing this to preserve clone-only strains, and selling them. So 20 femmed seeds should be great, if it is indeed THE strain or a similar good one. I have read enough detailed characteristics that I should be able to figure out if it's the real deal or not. One thing I noticed is these seeds were priced a bit higher than other name-brand strains on the site, even on sale, so at least somebody thinks they are worth something. Well, only time will tell....I hope I didn't just waste $220!

EDIT: OK--I found a page on the seedbank site which says they do indeed make these seeds by selfing select female clones. This site is reputable too based on my reading so this probably is the real deal. Most kick ass plants I've seen turn out even better in the selfed generation, so if the mom(s) were any count this should be great! Got my fingers crossed! :pirate:

Blue Dream is SSH(pheno came outta Santa Cruz, CA) x DJShort Blueberry(found in mummycat's thread)

There are rumors that DJ was in the area when the cross was made...

It's a great commercial strain and imo its pretty much the Marlboro Lights of weed...

I know it must come as a surprise to some Cali folks, but many folks don't live anywhere near Cali. I don't have a source of Cali clones, or any other kind of quality clones really. If I want a good strain then I have to order it and grow it out myself. I also don't have the benefit of smoking any of these strains and evaluating them myself before ordering, so I have to do extensive Internet research and basically take a leap, any time I order something new. I very rarely get truly burned in a purchase, but it does happen sometimes.

Like I said....when *I* have selfed plants using the same process as this seed bank, they often come out even better than the original...and there's often plenty of variety, with some being truly exceptional. So IF this is the real BD from Cali, selfed, and I get a SINGLE excellent mom out of 20 females....then I would say that's $220 well spent. Even if it just turns out to be OK smoke with excellent taste, that's OK too cause I have Haze and Blockhead pollen, and I planned to make my own crosses anyhow.

I love my Blue Dream, along with all my other ladies.

She is so functional, a great morning smoke. I also really like the smell of the smoke after it's burned. Not many strains leave as exceptionally pleasant smoke in the air as the B.D.

She produces like a winner consistent... only a bitch to trim. The Sativa in the leaves is incredibly apparent and annoying as hell to trim down the small nugs. 2 Lbs under 1000W HPS is normal =]

My bad bro I wasn't trying to put you down or anything. I am more upset that people are getting away with selling S1s of cali clones for that much...its robbery.

I hope they turn out good for ya, keep us posted on how they do. :) Keep it danK!
