This thread is bugged out! Guess maybe I should cut back on those Lucky Charms! No wonder you feel like your tearing your ass out when taking a morning dump after a night of cereal binging...cause you really are!

As far as a good ole Irish breakfast, they are great if you want to clog up them ole' arteries real quick! Gotta love it tho! I used to visit this Irish Breakfast place w/ my bro in Hoboken, NJ. Thats when I found out what black n' white pudding actually was...and well, never ate it again!

another excellent reason to enjoy a healthy full irish breakfast

seen the same thing loads of times, crazy amount of people who turn vegetarian or who get very vocal and squeamish when they see the stuff.

idk man, this guy is saying there's no bioavailability in this type of iron. It's like not nutritional iron but like scraps of iron thrown in cereal so they can say it has iron.

Iron is iron...what else you eat determines the availability-- Tho fortification iron is less available...it is still absorbed-- :tiphat:

Non-heme iron is the main form of dietary iron. The absorption of non-heme iron is influenced by individual iron status and by several factors in the diet. Dietary factors influencing iron absorption are outlined in Table 41. Iron compounds used for the fortification of foods will only be partially available for absorption. Once iron is dissolved, its absorption from fortificants and food contaminants is influenced by the same factors as the iron native to the food substance (24, 25). Iron originating from the soil (e.g., from various forms of clay) is sometimes present in considerable amounts on the surface of foods as a contaminant originating from dust on air-dried foods or from water used in irrigation. Even if the fraction of iron that is available is often small, contamination iron may still be nutritionally important because of the great amounts present (26, 27).

My grandparents were farmers and ate heavy breakfast every morning. They didn't even blot grease from sausage or bacon, your plate had 1/8" of standing grease. If you weren't used to it it made your stomach hurt.

Nobody in the family died from heart disease. I guess hard work is better than eating that shit and sitting on yer ass all day.

you said "it's not the kind of iron you want in your diet"....... is there another kinda friggin' iron that only you are aware of?

There's elemental iron, iron(ii) ion also called 'ferrous', iron(iii) ion also called 'ferric', and chelated iron, which is iron(ii) or iron(iii) chemically captured by another compound, like EDTA or heme.

Elemental iron needs to be oxidized (lose electrons) and chelated before your body can absorb it and use it to build hemoglobin. The intestine is a reducing, not an oxidizing environment so that does not happen after you eat the elemental iron.

By the way, arrogance and ignorance are two other compounds that combine very poorly. Elementary interpersonal chemistry.

Get it yet?

awe don't be mad, Boo.

:)
how can you not expect people to get mad when post after post you are saying how wonderful it is to be living off the government and posting completely useless garbage on these forums that do nothing but eat up bandwidth that could be used for more imformative posts? dude you seriously need a reality check. maybe those magnets you were talking about using to see the iron in your cereal would be better suited in each one of the pockets in your jeans to help line your poles back up.
