yeah man FPS games are the best on computer. What a bitch it is to upgrade though. Every time a new badass game comes out, you gotta drop $1000+ on upgrades lol

850 watt power supply... that's nuts. Before you know it, we'll have to run ducting and an inline fan from our PC. All these quad cores and stuff... getting out of hand

Indeed, FPS is best on a pc for sure. I just upgraded my computer to some pretty good stuff, new motherboard, cpu (intel i7) 8gb ram and a gtx 580.

It cost me about.. 1200$ and then the new psu im about to buy will cost me about 120$ extra.. A lot of money, i fucking hope this game is fun lol :p

Yeah im so fucking hyped man!! This card is supposed to be one of the best, cost me 600$ so it better be good!
Never really had a good pc so playing games on high settings is kinda new to me :p

See ya on the battlefield!

yeah i 've had to upgrade aswell ,my £30 xfx shitecard just was'nt cutting it so i got a new ocz 750w psu and asus 6870 card also got a top of the range auzentech soundcard.

Prob wont be enuff to run bf3 on max settings but i'm thinking about getting a crossfire mobo and just adding another 6870 card if its not. I have been running games like duke nukem and shift 2 on max settings with full anti aliasing on just the 1 graphics card and there is very little slow down if any, so i dunno maybe one card will be enuff ?

Dice said that one gtx 580 wont max out the game on Ultra 1080p+, the tessellation of Direct x11 is insane!

The new trend is to run 3 monitors side by side for like triple 1080p, Amd's eyefinity and Nvidia has w/e Nvidia has, The advantage is you can basically see guys sneaking up on you about to knife you from behind. That and 7.1 headphones is really legit cheating.

Crysis 2 after the direct x11 and textures pack the game ran amazing, next gen graphics almost like battlefield 3 except they did a shitty job with crysis 2 as their are embedded useless tessellation textures everywhere. It was a console port but the battlefield core series has always been for PC gaming. Besides the port for BF3 on consoles is going to suck ass, consoles are still running dx9 hardware.

^hardcore gaming - running 3 screens lol. I've heard the western digital RAPTOR hard drives are good for gaming. They have 10,000 RPM speed or something..

Look into solid state drives (SSD) specifically look for sata 3 if your board supports it.

Crucial has great deals now on their line something like 450mb read 175mb write

if you had moniez for two of them you could run RAID 0 its almost a double the performance.

Raptors are great if you can pick up a 1tb for cheap, great for mass storage.

The "Caspian Border" map has been put up for all on PC to enjoy. It is just a server test/beta so expect some game crashes and lag. Still.....MUCH better then metro...some real battlefield going on.
