I'm a Texan, and I am ashamed of the death penalty. I moved as soon as I could get out of that draconian hell hole. Texas is the most full of shit state in the Union.

they claim to be a state of freedom, but they interject religion into there laws all the time. try buying liquor on a Sunday. Trying to teach your kids science, to bad, they have to learn creationism along side evolution, as if Christianity is fucking valid in science.

They claim that they can secede from the union. they can't. they gave that right up when they signed on to the federal cooperation act.

They act like the state is pretty. It isn't. travel west to rockies or the ocean and you will see texas is butt fucking ugly, hot and miserable.

they are completely intolerant of weed, Muslims, and gays.

George Bush Jr. and Rick Perry have put men to death that have been proven innocent by DNA tests after there deaths.

FUCK TEXAS. My current state has lower taxes, better gun, laws, and medical weed laws.

There court system is racist and they have the most intrusive laws ever. Not to mention el paso fbi is bought out by drug cartels as proven by a wistle blower recently.

Seriously, I have mixed feelings on the death penalty. On one hand, some people just need killing, for the good of everybody. On the other, it is fact that innocent people have been convicted and executed.

I don't have a moral issue with the death penalty. Like I said, some people just need killing. Like child molesters. I'd volunteer to do it, free of charge. I'd even supply my own bullets.

I forget who said it, but the jist of the quote is "better a dozen guilty men go free than one innocent man be executed."

Our courts are not perfect. People are wrongly convicted for all sorts of things all the time.

Look at the Duke Lacrosse case. Those boys were inches away from being convicted on rape charges, and the DA was sitting on evidence that exonerated them. The asshole literally suppressed evidence that clearly exonerated the accused just to get a conviction. He knew they were innocent, but was going to send them down the river anyway. His ass should be sitting in jail right now.

That's how fucked our court systems are.

So yeah, some people deserve it. But I do have a problem with the innocent getting ground up with the guilty. I don't know how to reconcile the mixed feelings I have.

I don't care if they get a last meal request right before we put them to death. I mean we are about to KILL them. I do not like the lethal injection method though. I'd much rather the killer be put to death by the manner of the murder he committed. You chain a guy to the bumper of your truck and swerve around whip fashion dragging the guy to his death, well you die by that very same method. I'd even like to see the option of the victim's family given the opportunity to carry out the execution if they desire.

texas prisons have changed a lot since the 70's. whites now hold a slight majority.

the feds told texas that had way too many black incarcerated based on population totals, so texas started incarcerating whites, imagine that...
