Peppermint...no disrespect but are you sure about CaO2? It has some serious solubility issues.

If you follow this link http://www.solvaychemicals.us/static/wma/pdf/1/6/2/9/4/Soil_Groundwater.pdf down a ways there is a chart showing a very slow breakdown.

It does not appear it would help a short container grow much at all and even in the big pot long grows it looks questionable.

Plus isn't it carbonate that buffers pH? When CaO2 breaks down you get Ca and O2. You would need some Carbon and an extra Oxygen to develop a buffer...and you would actually rob oxygen from the soil to do that.

I could be wrong but I do not see it as that useful.

Plus Tom fights high pH...so some H+ from the H Peroxide probably also helps him control pH. Would not work if you have lower pH...or would lower it further...no?

hey i looked up pictures of that and its not the same..the holes are too big on the shot hole fungus pictures i found here..

our plants literally look like someone took black pepper, and sprinkled it on the fan leaves after they yellow. its only happening to the cherry pies....which after their low yield and low vigor i will not be running outdoors anymore...

sure its not just thrip turds?

Beautiful garden shots, everybody!!

Trying to figure out what the fuck is going on with some of my large gals. im seeing spotting yellowing with black dots on leaves. only on 1 or 2 arms of the plants while the rest are healthy as can be... not sure whats going on... far enough along where i dont believe it will be an issue but id still like to fix the problem or at least be able to identify it.

Its been getting real cold at night def got a frost last night already and these babies are sitting in bog water so im wondering if it could be from the temp of the water thats causing the problem. its only happening on 2 plants... they have all got the same feeding any help would be great. thanks

What's up bro that's what it sounds like when thrips kill a leaf and shit all over it.

All you big plant growers really should have a copy of the big green book handy at all times...It will make your life a lot easier!

From a friend down on the river Ebro, local cops raided a few islands and an orange grove, sad to see, some of these are over 4m tall and hardly in flower. Plants like underground water flowing by their roots, they just grow like mad.

The photo is taken at the local farmers co op, they sell canna seeds, feeds etc 10m away from this scene, the cops use the 10 ton Olive scales there to weigh confiscated crops.

I don't believe a 2 year old plant is going to produce what a fresh plant will. Even if it gets bigger, I don't think it would yield for shit.

Every time I have seen somebody put out their mother plants, the results have been disappointing. No reason why a reveg wouldn;t have the same kind of deficiencies vs a new plant. This plant is an annual... extending its life, even as we do to render these monsters is pushing what nature intended for it.

I'd be interested to see somebody run this experiment to see the results, but not optimistic about its success.

I think you can do it in the tropics, but its just like clones. They can succum to disease after time. They do have an established root system. We heard about those in the early 70s. Thai plants 15 foot tall. Year rounders. People on ladders clipping off the buds. It was probably true

I had a buddy in high school who helped his dad grow. they had the first haze I ever smoked, their plants at peak of flower were over 20 ft tall, popcorn buds the size of vw beetle hubcaps. They had them at the end of some old chicken coops, back in 1975 to 1984 - they got raided in 85 or 86. His dad was an old hells angels biker who only had one lung from a bike accident that crippled him, thats why his son grew for him by then. The guy was a freshman in highschool, had a full beard and some killer molly hatchett poster type tattoos on his biceps - used to crack us up, teachers were so scared by his appearance and he was just 14!! Grew some of the best bud I've ever smoked tho, even to this day - that shit was dank, everybody wanted it, but only a select few had access. one righteous bro, wish I knew what happened to him after all that shit.

Anyway, their plants were, if I remember right, about 7 or 8 years old at that time, 79 and 80, no problems with strength but those plants were exceptional. Hell, if we had a chance we'd buy a bag of the trim, you could pull out the calyxes and roll a joint of just those, wow - high and trippin all the way to the coast, over to pismo and halfway down the beach!

Always a first stop for me in the morning is this thread, great pix and friendship as always. I did a side by side shot for my 2011 grow diary thread and thought I might be able to squeeze it in this "large" plants conversation without taking to much flack..lol..thanks. I don't have the vertical growth, due to training, that my comrads are displaying but these might pass as large. There are 14 plants in this house..cheers, DD
