From a budget standpoint on each garden usin an extra hr of 1000`s of watts per lights on cycle regardless if you lose it lights off during the bloom cycle , has always been the debate .........and ...........
It`s not worth it from everyone I`ve ever seen trying to manipulate photoperiods, and there`s never been any solid info on phenotypic traits be they Indica or sativa , as well as all the gozillion polyhybrids that`re bein run these days........
DJ Short`s touching on each end of the spectrum A-Z , but shit we`ve ve run for the last 15 yrs or so are strict polyhybrids and so mixed up with God knows what there`s no wayta say which photoperiod is best......
I always used 18/6 for preveg and cuts , and 12/12 for production.....I tried 24/0 and found it slowed the girls down IME for the babies rootin....and......
Fuck Bubba Kush for production unless yas got a clone factory pumpin out budsicles on mega cut flood tables or vert Bobble racks.......but.....
That shit`s good meds.....Coffee and hash taste with killer arthritis and insomnia therapy....

I think running flip rooms you could do 4.5 week 13hs and 4.5 weeks 11hs... and you could potentially get the desired results... with the same total energy consumption. Maybe one day I'll be setup to where I can do a side by side... The only way to prove it is to do the research, since it doesn't exist.

As you said noone`s ever done the research per se although for yrs and yrs folks been tryinta say those Harvest Master timers were the shit with progressive lights on/off settings for faster rotations for more crops per yr with zero results any different from 18/6 clone/preveg/mom setups with 12/12 for the bloom cycle using the least amount of amperage draw across the board flippin every 12 hrs so the smart meters don` t recognize power surges for tipoffs ta LEO on grow ops here in hell.........
I`m sure certain varieties could be optimized with photoperiod manipulation but to what end......IME......
Less is more while dialin and establishing a happy medium for end results per cycle yield wise once strains are dialed and hoonin out rotations for constant production.....
Consistency is everything , but not many folks setup enough smaller rooms to dial each strain but rather run em all in the same room and get whatchas get.....

The "white" was one of the frostiest strains that I have ever run! Can you tell us more about the Giesel? WHat is it's lineage? Great work HGO!

I'm feeding at 1.5EC with Plant Magic A&B with silicon. I'll get more shots up in the coming days for you guys.

Oh and here's some pics of a project that I've been working on.
Them pics were taken 10 days ago, I was up at the grow today and the plants are a lot bigger, exploding in growth.

Here's a few more snaps of the plants from today, just 10 days growing from the pics I post above, gotta love drip fed coco RTW. When I was growing in soil I was watering 2Ltrs every 2 days in 11Ltr pots. With the coco I can get 3Ltrs + a DAY fed into them with 3 feeds and during flower I bang it up to 5 feeds per day. Anyhow, on with the pics...
I'll keep you guys updated as I make progress. They went into flower today, they got a light trim and another good trim after the stretch.
