Lol. The Bears are my nfc and second favorite team. My uncle grew up in the Chi and is a life long bears fan.

Whew. You had me going there for a moment. Btw, turns out a buddy of mine has the Thunderbolt with Verizon's unl data plan, said it came in real handy when his power was knocked out for a week because of a storm. His family stayed in a place that had power but no internet, but he set up a wifi network on his rooted 'Bolt and it was good, 10-20megs downspeed. He seemed to think that was slow, and said that true 4G is capable of gigabit speeds but companies arent going to invest in the infrastructure necessary, what with the economy and all.

Hes right. lol. What ROM is he running? The new Synergy addons are gunna be GONZO. Zues Mods have wireless ADB and tethering build into the setup menu. Oh and Dark Horse has been ported to the 3D. You can find it on my site. ;-)

U know, he mentioned the ROM but it wasnt cyanogenmod or virus. It might have been Dark Horse. I'm going to see him within the next few days and ill get all the nitty gritty details. He said he's had it rooted since a month after he got it, which was probably 27 days after u got yours and had it rooted....lol

Lol. Dark Horse is only a rom for the 3d, for the Bolt its a theme. He might be running bamf or droid theorys rom. Synergy is the new name for viruses rom.

Gotcha. I really didnt remember what he said, but 'dark horse' sounded somewhat familiar, but i was high and maybe a little drunk at the time so perhaps it was all in my head. :) Is there a 'Bolt rom that has the word 'dark' in it? Or maybe he said 'black'. I should really just ask him...

SHIFTAO5P is what he's running atm, along with whatever kernel it came with. He just installed it. Before that he was running Liquid Thunderbread 2.6 with leanKernel 3.5.8. And before that was Das BAMF Stripped. He's never run Virus ROMs.

Poor guy. Atleast with Droid theorys roms he runs goodness. Lol. The rest he's run are crap. Tell him if he ever has any issues to get at me. I'll help him out.

Well, the theory roms from what I hear are all really good. Cm7 is a whole othebeast if he doesn't like sense. Synergy... Well, my sig says it all on that one. Lol.

I think he said LTB and DBS were variations on CM7.
Whats the deal with people changing their roms/kernels so much? Is it really to find the next best thing? Are they that different from each other?

Depends on who the devs are really. Some just take others work, change a couple things and call it there's. Others like Team Synergy go all out.
