Here's the room now that the sour bubble has moved on... They are able to spread out now and seem much happier with the extra room.

Chem4xsd short - not much weight on her, but the buds are looking very nice. Not gonna be keeping her around do to the lower yield. The lowest crystally cola is the CJ and the top cola with yellowing leaves is the 4SD tall. The 4SD short is right between the two with the nice dark leaves...

The next clone run... Casey jones, killer chem (c99/g13 x chemdog), local purp, mikado99, sour bubble, and 4SD tall... I should have a new 400w vert pod built by the end of the month ready to rock these ladies in. 6 ladies, 5 gal buckets. Should be sick and I'm real excited to flip my bulbs back rightside up

And the new 400w vert pod.... Measurements have been taken, and the floor and ceiling systems have been figured. Got my parts list and ready to start building here in a few days...
She requires:
4 - 2x4's at 6' long
4 - 2x4's at 8' long (cut into 4 - 4' sections, 2 - 3'9" sections, and 2 - 3'5" sections)
5 - 1/2" ply at 4' long x 1'4" wide
Panda poly/reflectrix
I'm gonna be running 6 girls in 5 gallon buckets. Blumats with the res and 400w ballast located on top of the pod. The panda film will be applied before the top piece of plywood is on there. Using a zipper for the door, everyone's favorite honeywell fan blowing over the bulb which draws the cold air from below the cab and will sit on the actual floor as opposed to my raised floor, and a can33 fan/filter combo for extraction... Individual v-scrog screens or a single hort trellis will be installed as well...
Enough type, here's pics of my model relatively complete... All measures to scale except for the ballast...

Looks good but maybe buy some cheap 2 x 3s instead to save money. Buy extra so you can put in some x-bracing and also finish the box frame on the top. The way it is now it looks like it would "rack" easily and be a non-rectangle in no time.
I like the intake design at the bottom and the fact that the plants are elevated. Light trap bottom is easy enough to work out later.
only thing I can think of is maybe make a lazy susan to make maintenance and watering easier (if hand watering).
I just freed up a 400 and will be doing a similar design to see if a vert 400 will out grown my horizontal 600. Next step after getting feet wet with the 400 will be vert 600 and I'll crop one of the grows every 30-35 days.

Hey headseed, nice to have you drop in. Just finished up the frame. Kept the 2x4s and 2 screws per stud, along with the floor panels that should provide enough lateral support to not need x bracing. She's only 6' tall and is standing nice and sturdy. .... At least I'm not anticipating any lateral loads...... << Earthquake>>
Plants will be fed by blumats and the front plant by the door will be moveable, I'm not sure I'm talented enough to put together a lazy susan
Should be good to go with the blumats though...Good luck on your 400 and 600 watters man! I'll be looking out

Didn't think it was bobble worthy until I at least got my bulbs flipped around and started using some watts properly...
You're just in time though, as the first 400w pod should be up by tomorrow morning... I have enough casey in the jars and munchies in the fridge to keep me going through the night...
I've seen pics of the MAT mom and that's what prompted me to pop these bad girls... Short and stout things for now, and should be flowering them here in several weeks. Great to hear I'm in for a treat.

If we could find a way to bottle up that motivation I would trade some cheese and blueberry for it hahhhahahaha. I have a completely empty unit right now and I am sitting here typing this. We're talking about 1000 square feet, 3 BRs, bath, kitchen and pantry. Seriously get me that motivation brosef!

I'm really happy with how the build went. Nice and smooth, no hiccups whatsoever. When all goes to plan, it makes it much easier to be motivated. Especially when I have detailed grows to model my shit after
Girls have been repotted into their 5gals.
They will be handwatered for a week, then flipped to 12/12 and the blumats will be installed. Temps are sitting 5 degrees above ambient with the 250w, so hoping for less than 10 with the 400w
Gotta start thinking about my second pod for the MAT x Chem and OGK x C99...
Ended up with 3 and 5 ladies of each respectively ^^
I'm gonna try these 8 ladies in 3 gallon grow bags and compare it to this 5 gal pod I do believe... We'll handle that MASSIVE 400w electrical spike by alternating the rooms and maintain some steady temps hopefully...

I do believe I'm winning the mite battle as well. They will get one more dose tomorrow night after the lights go off as I hope to flip them here in a few days
Here's the 4sd tall ready to go for round two. I'm having a little trouble with her and what looks like phosphorous def... I'm not sure if i'm overloading the cal-mag and preventing proper uptake or ph is a bit off. Next feeding I will try with no cal-mag, but a little extra GH bloom and micro. After that we'll go onto foliar feedings, and if I still can't green her up, I will resort to buying a pH meter.... UGH

Just cut the 4SD short... Yield was poor, but she smells like something awful... A combo of fireworks and vicks vapor rub
I hope the other 4SD stinks like this lady!!! If she smells anything like this, I think she will be staying around for a bit

Seeders and test plants now go in the 'hall'... 3 females from Menage a trois x chemdog ibl... 5 females from OG kush x C99... Sitting under a 400w and a 250w HPS. Grown in 1 gallons and fed with the same nute mix using blumats... 4SD tall is still sitting in the back and looking dank!!
