Over on xda they say perma-temp root for the 3vo has been achieved and is stable. So, lots of progress on that front...

Ive been reading the xda forums, thanks for the tip. Ive found the Virusrom Airborne but Im having trouble locating the Ziggy 5.3.11 kernel for the Thunderbolt. Was this originally a kernel for a different phone?
Another question that maybe you could answer quickly for me: if i root my phone, does the carrier provide network updates that will reduce functionality unless i keep updating the rom (a la Xbox live does to hacked xboxs)? I would sort of like to not having to stay one step ahead of the posse all the time, so to speak. I guess the answer would be i shouldnt root my phone if i dont want to keep modifying it, since there are always better and faster roms being developed all the time, but i dont want to spend an inordinate amount of time staying on the bleeding edge of rom-tech....

Yes, on a whim i checked xda forums today and saw that a rooting guide for the average user has been posted. Woot woot!
I knew of course that you would have been first to post, McLab. :tiphat:

im scrapping together an android app to put on android market place and amazon, i have both accounts.

i can also get dev phone from google, their stable nexus..not sure which one.

I had hacked the crap out of a windows phone long ago. New rom version, new interface, torrent downloader (weird chinese $10 that worked).

I hear aqua or blue....some blue color android ROM is really great.

Is darkhorse specific to the bolt? I really shouldnt be asking questions, i should be figuring them out.

I have an HTC inspire with another battery on the outside encased in thermal epoxy (it's a nice shiny splotch of black.

I have not rooted, but have APD'd....my phone to the computer to send commands to it and to download and run my android programs that I make.

Man, I spend a lot of time with the damn Evo3D guys and yall are nuts. lol. If you check the XDA in the themes and apps section, Im doing custom weather lockscreens too. Lemme know when you root and Ill hook you up with all the goodies bruh.

Dark Horse is Thunderbolt and Dinc only as far as I know.

Thanks McLab, I'll definitely hit you up when I have root. A nice weather app would come in handy, the stock weather app seems like it can't update half the time. I also need better battery life off this phone; going to have to buy a spare batt, but also a custom rom should help with batt life as well...

Very nice! Did you design these yourself? Are these supposed to be the desktop background? I think i would want something a little more discrete, im not in a med state...

Lockscreens. Lol. What did you have in mind? I may not have taken the actual pictures but i did put them together so that they didn't get covered by the weather likevyou see. Lemme know what you have in mind and ill put something together for you. Also, there's now a darkhorse edition of SynergyROM being hosted on my site under themes.

That's a kind offer, thank you McLab. Now that I took another look at it, the THC molecule on a green background is pretty discrete; maybe the 'sounds like medicine' part could be done away with, that might be too much of a giveaway. And could I have a Chicago Bears logo instead of the Dolphins? I have much respect for all NFL franchises, even the Packers, but I have to rep my hometown team y'know?
