I GOT SLACK, CLONES HAVE ROOTED BUT DON'T LOOK TO GOOD

I GOT SLACK, CLONES HAVE ROOTED BUT DON'T LOOK TO GOOD

After 2 weeks 16 of the clones have put out roots and I threw the other 4 out. That's an 80% strike rate, not the best. They are not looking too good as I let them dry out while getting carried away with another cloning project.

16 SICK LITTLE CLONES

BUT THAT'S ALRIGHT HERE'S ANOTHER 40 I HAVE GOING IN DIRT. 8 DAYS IN AND THEY LOOK FINE

picture.php

I'll pot the sick little ones up in dirt and try to revive them. Hopefully they'll come good.

As for the 40 dirt clones they appear to heading for a 100% strike rate, pretty happy with them. They look very healthy compared to the others.

So the plan is this. When I have 36 healthy clones I'll pot them into a dirt mix, mind you I don't think I have 36 pots of the appropriate size, I'm not even sure what size to use.

Then the 36 pots are going on to my 3x3 ebb/flow tray under 1000W.

Straight on to 12/12.....drain to waste......and another SOG is born........THIS TIME IN DIRT!

I'VE BEEN THINKING, WHO NEEDS POT'S?

I'VE BEEN THINKING, WHO NEEDS POT'S?

Forget the pots, let's fill the 3x3 ebb/flow tray with a dirt mix and plant 36 clones into it at 4 per sq/ft. Sure, the roots are going to all intermingle.......as they do in nature. I do this with hydroton in hydro runs, no dramas, so why not with dirt? I'll use the overflow and pump holes as drains, drain to waste.

I think I'll buy some worms and chuck them into the mix as well, feed them and get those worm castings working.

Things could get messy......this will be interesting......f..k hydro.

Atm im just letting life take me where it does, hence im here in aussie now, maybe its leading me towards a housse near the outback and a big outdoor grow one day, who knows.

Peace Afro.

I CAN FEEL A SOG COMING ON.....A DIRT SOG

I CAN FEEL A SOG COMING ON.....A DIRT SOG

So we are 9 days into the dirt clone run and it appears we are heading for a 100% strike rate.

LIFT OFF, NO CLONEX, NO BOTTOM HEAT, JUST A STABLE ENVIRONMENT

9 DAYS IN WITH BUGGER ALL ASSISTANCE

THESE CLONE GIRLS HAVE A MISSION AHEAD

picture.php

This is one of the more satisfying clone runs I've done, no clonex, no bottom heat, just 22-24C room temps. I only need 36 clones to strike, looks like it will be 40 out of 40 and this is only at 9 days.

Let's clone in dirt......let's SOG in dirt.

Hey HC when your do your sogs do u use a heater to keep room temps up

G'day still, when I do hydro SOG's, which I haven't for a while, I have a water heater in the res set at 24C or 75F. I generally do them in winter cos I don't have air cooling. With the light on the temps stay pretty consistant. I run the light at night. I can't do them in summer, it's just too hot unless I run the air con all the time.

I only grow for myself so am not concerned about constantly pumping the shit out. One SOG does me for a year.

Cheers mate just havin a go at it myself temps are not to bad lights on around 22 to 26 but drop down to 15 of a night

There's snow here too, but the wood fire goes 24/7 and the place is nice and toasty. Time to get the board shorts and thongs on.

DIRT SOG POSTPONED

DIRT SOG POSTPONED

Due to work commitments I will not be able to commence the dirt SOG grow for about 2 or so months. I'll be travelling away to often and for to long. Never mind.

But what about these.

40 ROOTED CLONES IN DIRT

100% STRIKE RATE

It's a pity cos these clones are very healthy. I'm not sure how long they can last for in the Hiko tray. I could re-pot them into small pots. I have a friend who is happy to look after them, so that might be the go.

Or I could just go bush and put them in the ground, not sure how that would go considering it's a month into winter. Must make a decision soon.

Oh well, least I know cloning in dirt is pretty damn reliable.

Lot's of things to consider.

Great thread HC, so there's only one question left, will the final product be identical to the original? I'll be waiting for the answer. I'd like to make seeds of my favorite clone only strains.

Hey High Country,

Off and on today I've been going through your discussion in this thread. It really has a wealth of great information. If folks have the time it is quite worth the read. I filtered for your posts as it allows enhanced continuity; you have documented your efforts very well.

Just an honest thanks for a job well done! Your Indica strain has treated you very well, and you have returned the same for it.
