What tools do you prefer to use to harvest?

I take my fiskars micro tips, take the spring out, cut a link off each side, re-bend the ends and put it back together. Half the travel and pressure required makes it much more comfortable, faster, etc etc.

I also find it advantageous to remove the lock latch since they like to accidentally lock them close mid cut sometimes.

I also take them apart and sharpen them.

Note: If you ever break a pair of fiskars you just email them a photo of the broken tool and they'll mail you a new one.

A pic of the reduced travel.

I've tried several types of scissors, ARS etc and wasn't that happy. Used a spinpro once and that took lovely weed and turned it into shit lol

For large stems I use Felco pruners #8 ergo I think

my old fiskars sewing i used to use untill now i got the microtip pruning that it seems are very popular lol . i can see why, as i know from my older fiskars the quality is really high. if they were clean youd think they were brand new, no wear from many harvests. the only problem was the loops becoming very uncomfortable.

edit: i just harvested for the first time with my new prunner and cant believe the difference!, im kicking myself for dealing with the loops for so long instead of spending the 10 for the right tool
