normalizing mmj is fine

making a show about a few emo people in the industry sucks, especially when everyone and there momma is gonna try to get on if they havent already.....i guess its time to step up the game one more time. Good thing in this field experience is CRUCIAL, no newbie can hold a torch to an og growers knowledge

MTV definitely wants us to smoke weed, don't think they don't want us to.

Their programming might get more intelligent and stupid and the same kind.

Viacom weed! In association with GW, brought to you by skunks!

'reality/docu' TV seems to be at a new low for this type of medium but,as so often, MTV proving, once again that there's plenty of space beneath

For all that are disappointed in the programs content...
It was on MTV, home of 'Jersey Shore.'

It was nice to see a young dude exhibiting passion instead of greed.

What really caught my eye was the eviction notice the trendy couple in Denver recieved. The staff and neighbors complained about the constant weed smell and an eviction notice was waiting for them instead of the cops. Priceless.

Wow, well I couldn't watch past the short intro segment in the beginning, (though it's still on the dvr, might give it a go at some point); what little I saw, was disappointing to say the least. ...So, no sick people? (at least, not from what I gathered in watching the intro and reading this thread.) Very disappointing but not surprising.

I am so upset that they didn't air your segment, Stumbleweed! (Not enough "drama" in your segment I guess?)
You did a great job! I'm really proud of you; you came across as intelligent and professional. :) Thank you for at least attempting to show that some of 'us' are "normal"; that this plant has medical utility; and for shattering the myth of the "stupid stoner"!! :good: Well done, Stumbleweed! I only wish they had included your segment.

I had to laugh when the bull dyke was talking about that big deal she had going for five pounds, and she was going to make $500. Then the next deal was for an eighth...lol

How can they have people like the girl with the ginormous nose represent the mmj when she is clearly on much stronger drugs than that. She couldn't even keep her eyes open half the time.

haha yea she was nodding off tough...they must have been on heroin or something. they were very irate and emotional clear signs of drug use.....really sad that they chose those idiots to represent the marijuana business....making edibles without hairnets or even gloves....

I started watching, and soon realized that it wasn't made for me. ;)

Kind of a smear when they expose no one with their stuff together, in my opinion.

I was involved in this but didn't end up in the final episode. Most people think this is the best segment they produced, so check it out -- an online-only segment on my story: http://www.mtv.com/videos/misc/675032/true-life-webisode-im-a-business-stoner.jhtml#id=1667666

There was no money paid to anyone as far as I'm aware -- it's just promotion. I was faceplaming during the Buddha Bar people (Denver couple), especially the domestic dispute "here come the cops" part, which was just embarrassing. The most interesting story was the illegal dealer girl, and the Cali guy was just a very standard story, like an intro to medical marijuana.

But yeah, it was interesting to participate in. Let me know if ya'll have any questions. I basically quit my job of 8 years to pursue a life in the MMJ industry and they were interested in my story after approaching out booth at a convention in December.

props bro! that def was the best segment!!!!

i wonder if the reason they didn't use it could be because it mentions kindreviews several times and maybe appeared like 'free advertising'.....

....not sure tho...they did mention those buddha bars by name too :dunno:

I think the only good part was when the burnout edible dude was rappin with the little hottie at the Cannabis Cup she would have definitely got some of my stash in the gash

I was thinking it was not a hard choice next to the gruesome druggie girlfriend/biz partner he had and then she started throwing a temper tantrum at the booth and making a scene, then later he was convinced they were gonna win the edible cup. Aww :bigeye:

Heh, they basically didn't choose me because my story and businesses are too complicated to explain to some random kid from Ohio who's never heard of medical marijuana, which is technically their target demographic. That, and there probably wasn't enough drama for MTV, who had final say on who was included and who the crew follower. It talked to the crew today any they weren't surprised that the reception in the MMJ community was poor and basically said it was out of their hands and they really wanted to include me, hence the online-only segment.

Thanks all for the positive comments, I tried my best to rep CO and MMJ as well as I could. They actually did want to promote my businesses, I just didn't have an acceptable conclusion to my story by the time they were trying to wrap it up... still in the thick of trying to follow the dream.

WOW, this show is on right now and all i gotta say is FUCK MTV FOR PICKING THESE ASS FUCKS TO REPRESENT THE CANNABIS MOVEMENT!!!!!!!!! DISGUSTING!!!!!!

THIS IS THE EXACT REASON WHY THE CANNABIS MOVEMENT WILL NOT MOVE TOO FAR... BECAUSE FUCKUPS LIKE THESE PEOPLE REPRESENT ALL OF US....AND I AM NO WHERE NEAR THE FUCK UP AS THESE PEOPLE ARE!!!!!!

THEY ARE ALL CLEARLY ON OTHER DRUGS AND USING THEIR CANNABIS MONEY TO SUPPORT THEIR HEROIN HABIT...

yea i kinda wanna barf right now. I'm all for equality and am pretty open to different lifestyles but man these people are EXTREME.

its like they purposefully chose the craziest people...then threw in Chris to make it seem a little bit nice.

stumbleweed, your 5 minute segment was way better than the 45 minutes of crap.

that couple...I just dont even know what to say. the thought of them representing people like me makes me cringe.
