Update Day 21

Ugggh, monday... I installed the fourth bulb today, wattage was 69, now 92 watts total. I flipped around the power strip because of the bulb placement.

I am ready to transplant but ive yet to find good containers. might order a few online. Any sites people know of that have a wide variety of shapes/sizes?

The calcium def isnt too bad and with the calmag they are receiving now, it shouldnt affect future growth too much. i think i maxed the grow big nutes out for these containers by using less than a quarter of a teaspoon :p

I figured out the culprit. With tap water, calmag, and growbig, ph was at 6.5-7 After switching to RO water ph was LOW, somewhere around 5. So they got a few waterings of crappy ph'ed water before i finally checked the ph of the new water. Ooops lol. Ive since ph adjusted the RO water to ~6.5 and things look good tonight.
The plants are begging for bigger containers. I need to find some 5"x5"x5"(6) pots locally. Three will fit nice and snug in the case.

branching shoots are starting to rise up, ill probably have to give the plants a haircut shortly after the transplant, then work on filling in the screen with shoots. Pic update tomorrow night. :)

Update Day 23

Things are looking "up" since the other day. The ph adjustment helped a lot. Im assuming the moderately acidic ph was blocking calcium absorption creating the deficiency.
Growth rate has increased since the adjustment on all but the GF Krush. I wish they would have given me a better seed.(I saw someone elses GF Krush freebie seed and it was also premature.) Its a shame cause i was really interested in seeing its potential, but thats not going to happen, it might be going outside at transplant time. Ill give it a bunch more soil to help it out.
I hope to be transplanting within a weeks time.

Growman, thanks. Look for updates every two to three days..

Harold. Temps were higher before i got the glass. Now with four bulbs the temps are 80-84. Before it was hitting 86
i think the glass will have to come out soon. Unless i get a pusher fan for above the glass. Which i might.

Update Day 28

Just a quick update since its late. I clipped off some of the upper fan leaves to promote better side growth. I also bend other leaves under growth shoots. Im trying to catch the side shoots up to the main stems prior to transplant and scroggin.

The bigger square containers are on the way. Should be here by the end of the week. The roots are begging for more space and are fairly rootbound at the moment. Im going to place the small containers directly into the new soil about halfway buried. This should give me the vertical height i want for the roots(6.5in plus + 2-3in from round) around 9 inches total. They are gonna be a tight fit in the case from left to right.
The bigger Chrystal plant has hit puberty, as she is showing preflowers at the nodes.
Pics- clipped top fan leaves, hid others below growth shoots

excellent progress buddy, very green healthy and some good defoliate increment the light penetration...future nuggs appreciate fo su!!!
i do the same also me , remove some of big leaves or bend together in the main stem if the plants present not so many leaves..

The plants are doing well, but beggin for those bigger containers to get here. Ive trimmed off leaves on 2-3 nodes per plant. Side shoots are coming up well. The vigorous chrystal plant has 8 nodes now, and is about 8 inches tall. The other two plants are about 5-6 inches tall and 6 nodes. Ive counted about 25 developed side shoots, with more shoots at the nodes.
Pic update to come after plant containers arrive and they get transplanted.
Ive been using a plug in carbon filter odor remover with a scent masker and for now the sweet stench of mj is not noticeable .

Thanks killerweed.nice grows btw!

Update Day 33

Update Day 33

Update Day 33

Hello again microgrowers!
Heres a short list of things that have been going on:
*GF krush plant is outside and doing well, over a foot tall now.
*The containers came on friday. The 3 got potted directly into the new containers. 50%(ff OF X peat/verm) soil mix.
*I now have a bottle of Advanced nutriets Bloom formula to try out
*The glass is out and ive rigged up a small fan with magnets to keep things cool and moving.

I am tempted to remove the smaller Chrystal plant that is on the right side by the intake fans, and put it outside. This would give more room for the other two plants and increase airspace inside the case.
The plants were moderately rootbound and growth had slowed significantly until i repotted on friday night...Since then the growth rate has increased rapidly. Now they have to deal with the screen.
The next few days should be interesting. The 12/12 flip will be within the week!
Pic 2-Chrystal on the left/SSOG on the right
Pic 3 White Widow that i harvested last spring!(pic from today) thats right i still have some :)

Day 35 update

Day 35 update

Day 35 update

The small Chrystal plant now resides outside alongside the gf krush for now. Its too bad they dont get anywhere near optimum lighting where they are located.
So the Chrystal is on the left, and SSOG on the right. They are filling in super fast and the 12/12 switch looks to be in the next 3 days at the rate they are storming the screen!
I put a very small dose of AN bloom into the mix this past watering.
One dissapointing thing is that without the glass the temps are up a few degrees. I think it will be better once plants gain some height and the light strip is closer to the exhuast. I hope so. The lights on period will be a night cycle to promote lower temps. probably 10pm-10am.

Update Day 37

Update Day 37

Update Day 37

Well, some unfortunate news, the SSOG (feminized!) turned out to be a male.... It was looking fantastic since transplant. the roots took off like crazy and were extremely developed in the new container for only 5 days. :(

The remaining Chrystal plant has female preflowers and is looking awesome. New growth everytime i check it out. Ive thinned out the foliage a few times to make way for lower shoots to grow.

The smaller Chrystal plant, which has female preflowers, is now back in the case. She has some catching up to do since she hasnt been able to be very productive under the shady outdoors conditions.
12/12 was going to start in a couple days, now i need to give the smaller chrystal plant some time to adjust and fill in.

Update Day 38

What a difference 1 day makes. I wish the SSOG was a female, but at least the other Chrystal plant has responded quickly now that shes back in the case. They must like what theyre getting fed as well as the soil mix.

Update Day 41 veg/ Day 1 12/12

Update Day 41 veg/ Day 1 12/12

Update Day 41veg. Day 1 of 12/12.

Let the flowering begin. Ive had enough of vegging and i cant really keep the beast on the left back any longer. shes only gonna try to get wider at this point. :)

So Day 1 12/12 begins. They are being fed calmag,FF grow big, AN bloom. All 1/2 doses or less. i have plenty of vertical height to work with, enough for the plants to double in height and still have a gap between the bulbs.

Note: light strip is moved up for picture.

The light strip is held up by magnets wrapped with electrical tape. I added magnets in the middle and rewrapped the others. It was a solid fit but has slowly sagged just like the original did(not as bad). I think for safety reasons i will replace the tape once a month. the magnets are plenty strong, the tape is just prone to flexing with heat.

Update Day 3 12/12

Everythings going smooth. The growth shoots are really pushing up now. Ive tucked a couple of the slightly tall tops back under the screen. Smell isnt noticeable yet. They seem to be handling the nutes very well.

Update Day 5 12/12

Update day 5 12/12

There is some stretch but nothing significant. No smell at all yet. Budsites should be setting up this week! Im going to defoliate under the screen in about 5-7 days and probably clip some leaves above the screen that are shading other tops. There are roughly ~25 tops.
ph ~6
temp 83-88
now two warm lights have replaced the cool white bulbs. ill probably go to all warm spectrum bulbs by week 2 or 3.
