I miss Senna. :(

Nice Post Mr Waggs.. I'm all for capping the annual budget to allow smaller teams more of a chance. the bann on in season testing seems to me to have negative affects on those teams but i can see why it's done..

Maybe they could make the rules if your teams spend under £XXX,XXX,XXX amount under their annual budget you can run inseason testing.. this will no doubtably help develop new drivers too?

as for missing Senna have you seen the Movie? If you like F1 it's a must.. just watching him drive round Monaco with one hand 80% of the time is amazing.

Hmm something funnys going on double posts now missing posts?

any way it went something like this:

Nice post Mrwaggs.. I'm all for budget capping to help the smaller teams but the big boys will never go for it.. so maybe they should allow inseason testing for teams who keep within a smaller budget.. this will surly help develop a new crop of drivers.

as for missing Senna.. have you seen the movie? watching him drive round monaco 80% of the way with one hand is amazing.. I say bring mack manual gearboxes! lol.

Yeh for sure I'd love to go to an F1 party. I love it how there is normally a corridor lined with hot women either side!

I think it was pure frustration and he was seriously pissed off, but in fairness watching his replays it did look like he was at fault with his incidents this race!
It was just funny as normally the drivers are so schooled in being very PC and mild mannored in interviews.

I guess that's the unpredictablility of the sport though, You can only really do whats best at the time.

Being an old racer myself I'd like to shed a little light on this if I may.

He lost thats what pissed him off. At 180 mph you are traveling at a football field a second in distance and the normal F1 car does have carbon fiber brakes but they still have a lot of weight to slow down as well.

A good example would be this:

Take a brand new Z06 Corvette and a brand new GSXR 1000 Suzuki put them on the starting line and say GO. The motorcycle will go from 0-100-0 b4 the Car even reaches 100. So yes weight at high speeds does take time to stop BUT yes he is a little prick but he can drive,he does seem to get away with a lot more than a lot of the others kinda like Schumacher did when he was in a red car lol.

sad to say tho I believe Massa will NOT be in a red car next year,I would pay tho to see Schumacher steal a Red Bull car for a session just to see what kind of times he can put up. Experience is why he qualified 5th to bad it ended so soon.

Yeh eggy not sure what's going on, it said earlier you had replied to my SC thread but then it's not there..

Do we think schumy will be at Mercedes next year?

Theres some interesting young drivers coming up for sure.

On one hand I sometimes think it would be cool to have everyone in the same car so it's just pure driver against driver racing, but I guess that isn't really where the money is.

I saw a clip on facebook the other week of Hamilton and vettell racing back in GP2 which was fun to watch.

Bahrain GP - Yam Marina.

Bahrain GP - Yam Marina.

Seen as we have a long wait until the next GP i thought i bring up the discution that is in the news a lot this week and get your thoughts.

So would you like to see the Bahrain GP return at the end of the season?

Personally i would like to see it return if the political situation improves.. It's a world class track.

The only thing that springs to mind other than the politics and the teams being "Tired" is that when the GP was originaly scheduled avg high temps were about 25deg C. In October avg high temps are 33Deg C.. bearing in mind these are Avg highs and temps on the day could be much higher.

Edit: Sorry i'm sure you all spotted the typo.. i mean Yas Marina

Taken from BBC Sport:
The organisers of the Formula 1 Bahrain Grand Prix say they accept that the race will not take place in their country later this year.

The race was originally due to open the Formula One season in March, but was called off amid the political unrest and put back to October.

Earlier this week, F1 supremo Bernie Ecclestone said the Bahrain race could not go ahead as teams had objected.

Just read this on the BBC live text which made me laugh:

Sebastian Vettel on the Red Bull team radio: "I hit the kerb, slid off the track and hit the wall. I'm fine."

^^^ Could be.. i dont think Massa's seat is safe.. but i think Mercedes will want to give him one more year. I reckon we will see him on the podium before the end of the season.

f1 is the shizzle, i jumped up a screamed when button had vettle after his mistake, button is the best driver in f1 not for skill but for composier, he is my favorite, he always has time to talk to the camera he is always smileing, unlike webber man i hate that dude, he is such a miserable bastard, he strikes me as a bloke that has always been a winner and cant stand loosing. i bet he has had everything handed on a plate in life to.
