Even if it only costs $10 per test ( which I call bullshit 'cause all the pee tests I take for my cdl license are $35 minimum) it will end up costing US THE TAX PAYERS. How so? Well, since a person must pay for their own test then said person will be out the $10 if they piss dirty. But what about all those that pass? Thats right, the state will reimburse them. In other words, if a person pisses dirty then they as an individual are out of $10. But when those thousands of people piss clean, it's tax payer money that will reimburse them.
4400 piss tests per month (their numbers, not mine), every month. So lets say only 3000 piss clean. Thats 30 grand of my tax money to reimburse piss tests, every month. Multiply that times 12...
And eventually when they root out most of those with dirty piss and only their only left the people who piss clean, we still have to keep on reimbursing for those negative tests.
I'm all for piss testing a welfare recipient, but only IF theirs reasonable suspicion that they're abusing the system.

comprehensive drug test will not cost $10 but regardless of the cost, and according to the PDF, there must be a second drug test to verify any failed test to ensure due process. who pays for the test to confirm a + drug test? the state.

if i am right in my assumption that the state will pay for a confirmation test that will be the basis to deny State Assistance in order to ensure due process then that means the state will end up paying for drug tests for EVERY APPLICANT.

again, where is the savings?

I'm on the fence about this. Most Americans have to take a drug test just to get a job and make money so the government has money to give to people on welfare. So if the working force has to submit to a drug test why not a welfare recipient? I dont want our money to go to some cracked out person who thinks they are entitled to everything. That's part of the problem. People think they are entitled to everything. No one wants to work for it anymore. On the other hand I can see how its an intrusion on your privacy.

So if there are a few bad apples we throw out the whole bushel? A lot of people on welfare are disabled people. The same people that would qualify for Medical Cannabis in legal states. Shame on them for not living in a state with a more responsible government.

Has anybody actually read the fine print on this law? If so then you'd realize it's just a sham. The state isn't going to save one single penny. If a person tests psotive then the cash bennies can be allotted to someone else close to the family.
This is just how our government wants us; fighting over pittance while the government slowly infringes on our rights as individuals.
Case in point;
I remember when the state of NJ enacted "meagans law", where all sex offenders had to register and give DNA. Yeah, great idea. Right?
Well now in NJ you have to give your DNA for ANY violent crime committed. And next up is that they're trying to make it so anyone convicted of a felony has to register. Where does it end?
So to all those who think this is a great idea, it will only be a matter of time until they come up with a way of piss testing everyone and taking something away from everyone...

In Florida Felons have to register. And anyone arrested has to be added to the DNA data base. While we are removing god from the pledge of allegiance we should be removing land of the free from the national anthem.

We take money from senors. the disabled and the poor to save. 90% of every dollar will be spent by the end of the month from Social Security and welfare beneficiary. Most spent at small businesses and utilities. That money provides jobs and taxes for local, state and federal governments. And all of that money will sooner or later be returned to the federal Treasury.
