I just tried the e-cigs and they do work well. Problem is both sets crapped out after two weeks. These were the Bluecig brand. I guess I'll try another brand. I so wish I hadn't ever started smoking to begin with.

i didn't read the whole thread as i quit 3 years ago next week so i don't know if this was already suggested but what worked for me was weed.

first, when i quit i had been a smoker for 40 years, 2 - 3 packs a day for the last 20 - 30 years, and i'd been trying and wanting to quit for at least 10 years.

i tried the gum, i tried the pills, i even tried hypnotism and none of it even slowed me down!

anyway, thanks to growing weed i came to a day when i really felt ready and i also had plenty of bud so all i did was to wrap a joint every time i wanted a cigarette.

i was a pretty high unit those first few days as i must have smoked at least 10 - 15 joints on each of the first 3 days but after that i started to taper off and, within a week, i was back to smoking my weed at my normal rate only no more cigarettes!

(it's a good idea to schedule a solid week when you can be pretty much left alone as during this week you will become a raving fucking asshole)

hope this helps, SOG

I smoked a couple of years quit COLD TURKEY when cigarettes hit .47 a pack. It's all or nothing. I woke up one morning and said I'm going to do it. The worst part was missing that first smoke of the day, or that after a meal cigarette. I gave myself the OK to smoke all the joints I wanted. funny how it worked out for me, l but I knew by 2:00 in the afternoon that I had made it.
YOU can do it.
If you have a craving look at a clock for 3 minutes by then the craving well have passed.
For the time being don't be around smokers.
Don't worry about packing on a few pounds it'll be worth it in the long run.
Before you knoiw it the smell of smokers and smoking will really turn you off.

GOOD LUCK

Hang in there guys - it's 100% mental exercise. Impossible to do "if you don't really want to", but it gets easier every single day "if you DO really want to".

I'm off them 6 yrs. this Apr. 15, and I feel so good that I'd never go back...

You can do it...

Fuck yeah, I'm normally a very patient person but lately I've gone from patient to my old angry uncontrollable self.
I'll snap at the slightest thing....it's not good :(

I smoked a couple of years quit COLD TURKEY
It's the only way to do it bro, hell I've had to give up beer and coffee because I always had a smoke with both of them.

Classy bro there is no "really want to", it's being done come hell or high water.
People who want to give up often fail, people who give up do not fail.

Im reviving an old thread. But i have to say these electronic cigs are the shit.I was a pack a day smoker,i have not had one in 4 days. The key to the electronic ones is to get a good one ,right at the start. The ones that are small and look like ciggarettes are usually ,poor on battery life ..And don't produce alot of vapor.

i went with the Go-Go ,this thing is almost like smoking.Tons of vapor ,battery can last 2 days .With the nicotine liquids ,they make every kind of flavor you can think of ,with different nicotine strengths.

Its been 4 days ,my lungs are starting to clear ,im feeling great!!!After a month of this ,im gonna start bringing my nicotine level down.
Im so happy i found these things, tonight im vaping caramel ..as well as bluberry cheese cake ,campfire coffee, and boba's bounty tobacco flavor...

Anyone having trouble quitting ,should give these a consideration .All the info needed can be found on the biggest site www.e-cigarette-forum.com .:artist:

This industry is huge and growing bigger everyday..

.Just don't smoke.
I couldnt have said it better

been smoke free for 2 years now , just dont smoke , feel bad , feel pissed , sweat , freak out whatever ,but just dont smoke

the feeling you wanna kill everything and everyone WILL pass after about 2 weeks:laughing:

after 6 months you wont even know why you smoked in the first placed

think about it you smoke on something that doesnt get you high and smells and tastes awful

i mean if you put tobacco in water it becomes insecticide

try eating tobacco , then try eating weed

capische? now jut quit those thingies it is easier then you think just gotta persevere

if you need patches e cigs etc ... then you dont want to quit smoking 100%

The smell. You don't realize it when you're a smoker because you don't have as good of a sense of smell as you will a while after you quit but you stink. It's very easy to smell a smoker from 10 feet away. They just radiate that smell. It's gross.

I was about a pack a day smoker until a few years ago when I "quit." Then I was a social smoker for a few years. Then I fell back into the habit regularly again. Now, I've been tobacco free for a little over a year. What helped me early on was smoking joints initially to break the habit. What's helped me long term was embracing the idea/goal of never smoking again. Not one. No excuses. Saying to myself it's a disgusting habit that I never want to be a part of again. Get mad, get angry, get disgusted with the idea of smoking. My best friend would also call me a "piece of shit" and a "scumbag" every time he saw me smoking before I quit and I really do thank him for it because it really made me feel shitty every time I'd light up whether he was around or not. While smoking I'd feel like a scumbag.

Yeah....no benefit in smoking tobacco at all.....People say it helps with stress.....Stress is stress whether you smoke tobacco or not...Smoke ganja, it helps the stress....Especially the stress put the body from smoking tobacco.
