It's funny that people even wanna hold on to genes If they're good. What happen to the good ole days(80's/90's)..Given from one brother to another....All good vibes..How things have changed from just 15-20 yrs ago...

Smoked some Adam's Apple in Amsterdam back in '00. Not sure if it has anything to do with the Green Apple, but it had a very distinct green apple flavor that I haven't had before or since.

Speaking of fruity strains, a couple people mentioned the Tange, Or Sweet Tang, or Tangerine.. Used to have a cut that went by all those names but was actually called The Who. The guys that had it wouldn't even tell you the real name until they gave it to you.. Eventually got out but went back to hoarded status.
Anyway, lost it.. But it had the sweetest true tangerine flavor, and the kindest, happiest high. The shit was never devastating, but was never meant to be.
If anyone can confirm that we're talking about the same thing, I'll be happy. Cus I know its out there in So Cal (what's up SD ???), prob CO too from the sound of it.

Nothing can touch the real MTF.. Nothing I've smoked yet. I hope there is stronger shit out there, but I've yet to find it.

Its all about the chase anyway isn't it ?

Yeah maybe hoarding is some playground bullshit, but its the unfortunate way of the world. Deal

The "Tang" is in Santa Cruz and cuts are kept to a small group....Im doing a vertical grow of it for the past year....it is much asked for herb w/ my patients.

im still trying to get my hands on a legit COOKIES cut......Cherry pie x Og kush...i have grown some from seed but they hermied...still trying to find one i have a bag of like 100 seeds..

How do you have GSC seeds? and so many?

To find that many bagseeds of a run-of-the-mill sensitive cut you'd have to scour several pounds worth...

Just curious, as that's one I'd love to see more of.

Cheers

You do have a point but not sharing your fire cuts is also a great way to lose a strain. If you are holding some crazy fire cut and literally the only person that has it I think it's almost a duty to give it to at least one trusted grower. I have avoided losing so many great cuts because I gifted them to a friend and was able to get it back from them. Its like instant karma.

i totally agree. because of this i sent a trusted friend my

Tahoe
SAC#3
Killer Queen Lonestar
Killer Queen Lonestar x Schmoes DUD
Valley OG
SoCal Master
Woody OG
Afgooey
Lavender
ChemD

and as soon as i pickup these SFV and The White cuts within 30 days they will be going to another trusted friend. these are all strains or phenos i love and i want to keep available to me for many years to come and the best way to ensure that is to give them to a friend a good distance away who will treat them the way you do. keeping cuts in your circle i understand and i do so myself for the most part unless someone has something equal that i want to trade. keeping a cut all to yourself is stupid and all it takes is one accident or LEO interaction and you (or possibly the wold) has lost it forever.

i saw theere was something called "tangello" from a grower who entered it in the most recent cup i went to. it was outdoor, looked not the best, but had a flavor and a high u would not believe. I need to get some of that tangelo!

my misha, im the only one who has it.

see if i were you i'd be sending that to a trusted friend. if its really that special unless you are worried about competition in your local market i would back it up with a friend let them enjoy it and just tell them not to pass it out. that way if you have a power outage any kind of legal issue or any other imaginable issue you can get it back.

Nice, I can definitely see its potential as a med strsin, esp good for depression.

Sounds like we're talking about the same thing. Mine was a bitch to root also. Very wet, spongy, hollow stems.

Thanks guys. Good to know its still around. I will track her down someday.

Just got word on a Cookies cut, we'll see. :)

Met an old timer at the bar.. Smoked me out with some amazing hash. Haven't been that high in a long time.. Anyone heard of Ad Absurdum ?

I was just gifted 10 seeds of a 15 year plus G13 IBL Not wasting any time on those! Friend of a friend has been breeding this same line for potency and yield for at least 15 years.. Gets 5lb+ monsters with it outside. Not sure what the original male was, my friend is finding out. It supposedly does really well inside, but I haven't seen it done myself.. Soon enough :)

Nice sounding IBL...G13 is a definate favorite of mine! I've heard the original is gone, who knows. There are a few really good hybrids floating around. The only IBL I've heard about was bred in holland for a few generations and is supposed to breed true. 15 years of shaping a genepool has gotta bring out some outstanding and true breeding traits--very nice!

Thanks, really looking forward to seeing what she can do. I will be sure to document this one. I've always wanted to try my hand at breeding, now it looks like I don't have much of a choice. These beans found me. I do have access to more so this could be really interesting.

huh? what the hell does insuring your medicine have to do w/drug dealing? Whether it's selfish intentions (ensuring you never lose it), or you want others to be able to relieve their symptoms, it's in your interest to keep your cut from going extinct.

Howdy folks, Im Sam I am,

I just grow them in the house,
I dont feed them to a mouse,

I dont make any fuss,
I dont throw them under the bus

I dont grow them in the air,
In my wifes bra,
Or in her hair.

Come to think of it,
I have no wife,
But Ive got weed,
And thats my life.

I once did,
But she caused pain,
Now I smoke this grass,
Ive got every strain.

I have the fires, the purples the Hazes
Ive got bud to give you lazy dayzes

I dont sell this weed,
and thats no joke,
600 bucks a month electric,
Im goin broke

the only reason to keep and hoard genetics is to keep it from the 'competition'. If you have a killer strain and love it, whats gonna happen if a tornado tears thru your house and kills all specimens of it, or LEO gets stupid and seizes everything. Its gone forever.

like Pico said, if you truly feel its that special of a strain, and you DGAF about 'competition' than its in YOUR interest to pass it to a trusted friend, if the proverbial shit hits the fan, you've still got gold.

what kinda effects did the misha have anyways? I checked out the thread and didn't she take upwards of 16 weeks (could have gone longer perhaps even?) with a low yield? it'd have to be the holy grail of potency, trippin' balls on acid status, for me to keep it.
