Hey Smokey-

What do you think of that Feliz bulb? What type of bulb is it warm or cool?

Thanks Dude.

it works very well, i got a 6500k bulb, so it's the outdoor equivalent to the sun being out but not showing because of haze. i would say it's cool. plant leaves can be very close(not touching) and not get burnt. you usually can only find a feliz in the 4500-6500k mark. i think 6500k is the best for the job.

Wow dude, I'm starting to think about doing some autos. I have some Road Runners from DinaFem I received as freebies. Have you tried to breed with non-autos? I wonder if the auto trait is dominant. I have some C99xDeep Chunk pollen, and will try to pollinate the RRs with that and see what I get. Thanks for the inspiration!

i have not tried breeding normal strains with autos. to be honest, i just rip off other people's hard work. i do not have the grow area for an operation like that. i would love to try to make a chimera shiskaberry autos. some day, some day. if you try to cross that, i believe it takes about 4 generations to completely bring out the auto flowering trait.

Smokey-

I have looked around at these lights and it seems they are really the only higher wattage cfl being made. My local grow shop doesn't touch cfls, or LEDs, which I understand, but it doesn't change the fact that I want to try a higher watt cfl like the Feliz. I have seen on one site that they were selling a bloom and grow version. I thought the grow was 6500, which is what it sounds like you have. Are you flowering under that bulb or something else?

Thanks

had to move a couple of the bigger blue streak x low ryder's into the taller box. here's the tall box. the low ryder #2's are 2 weeks ahead of the rest, so when they are done, the others will be moved into the hps to be hardened off.

here's the low ryder #2's under the hps. the crowns will be done in no more the 2 weeks and i'll leave the bottom nugs in the box for another week afterwards.

here's the medium sized blue streak x low ryder #2. that i'm going to call blue ryder to my friends that i give the weed to. as you can see the top of the box needs to be painted. i have some paint waiting but will be waiting until the plants are out of the box. i also double cupped the cups because they were not holding water as much as i wanted them to. so, i water them. leave the water sit for one day and then take them off until the next watering. this is the only problem when using 16oz cups.

Pretty looking girls you have there. Impressive for 16oz cups. They must need watering daily?
How do you feed these gals? I bet they burn through what is in the soil in no time at all.

damn bro its looking really good under the HPS...

I like to see cup grows.. It's funny how they all end up with the same structure no matter strain... :)

nope. i haven't watered them in 3 days. last time i gave them a feeding of liquid karma and tiger bloom. i use to use pure organics nutes but it's such a pain in the ass so i switched back to 50/50. since the switch i haven't once had a problem with burning plants.

What's up people? So, the lr#2 in the HPS box has been finished up and chopped. I moved the 16oz cups into the hps box to finish up. They will be in there for no more than a week. The tall one was a weird pheno. It didn't start flowering until about 10 days after the other cups. It grew too big for my medium box and i decided to transplant it into a 6x6x6 square pot and move it into the HPS box. This plant is a (low asis x blue streak).

As a little experiment i also transplanted a plant into a 6x6x6. It was of equal size to the three cups in the back at the time of transplant. I wanted to see if size and yield would make a difference. Well, it definitely did and it didn't stunt the growth at all. I'm guessing the transplanted plant will double the yield of the 16oz cups. From now on, when I do cups, I will take 12 of the best looking fems and transplant them into the square pots. I will then keep them in the medium box and put the rest of the 16oz cups into the smaller box.

This is the bottom of a runt in which i already cut the cola off.

This is the cola from the transplanted plant.

:blowbubbles:Thanks for proving y0u can transplant these bad boys without loss. I had been wondering if this "no transplant" rule had been tested. Now we all know you don't have to start the AF in a 1 gallon pot. I think this could help people get 50% more out of their space with no drawback by cutting the square feet needed for wee babes...:skiiing:

Thats old news ;)
Its just about timing, dont wait to much to transplant or the plants will be stunted. With regular strains you have still time to recover but if you screw with AF you're f***ed.
Starting in small pots/cups forces the roots to better exploit all the soil and makes simpler an even watering imho.
Nice pics Smokey btw
