4.9 is really low on the PH. When was the last time you calabrated the meter? Also when the PPMs increase it is because the plant is drinking water more than nutes, that has the PPM go up and the PH go down.

20 point move isn't bad at all, but you should try to keep the PH at 5.8 - 6.0, test and adjust daily.

If there is root excel in the UC the babies will explode soon.

4.9 is way to low bro at this stage i run my ph abit lower then norm cuz nitogen iron and boron and mn are all key uptake is achieved best at 5.4-5.5 so i let it drift from there during veg up to 6-6.2 at flower i set it 5.8-6.2 it usualy takes 2 days to drift up and now that im dialed in when i top up my ph lowers itself. def raise ur ph and lower ur nutes a bit u want ur ph to rise and ec to go down slowly not the opposite. best of luck those bubba cuts look really nice in the dome so far much healthier then the lvpk did. but be patient the 98bubba takes time to roots shit she takes her time for everything but is well worth it. peace

4.9 is what the PH swung to. Not what I adjusted too. I think the cubes are to moist. going to let them dry out and sounds like I will shoot for a lower PH and let it rise like you are saying stoney. HS roots excel is in there hoping to see something start pokingout of those nets. Thanks again for all the help guys. :joint:

amazing what a day will do and right ph.... just keep ur ec low and the lvpk will ove it. now about the cord roots issue.... i do both tryin to see a difference when my plants come down next week ill have the numbers ill see if it matters in my buckets but when i started dwc a 1in airgap was almost written in stone then along came some ppl i talk to and they started this whole other side now both ppl grow huge trees very sucessfully and would be proud of both harvests is it a matter of personal choice or does somone have a science on it ...the 2 lvpks i have comin down im testin this on right now look exactly the same only way to see which has cord and which dont is to lift the next pot.

Stoney in the UC to get the water level a whole inch below the pot is damn near impossible. Due to having the large defuser in the epicenter the float does not have enough room to travel that low. That being said all of the plants now have a few "few" roots shooting out the sides. Was to lazy and in a rush today to take pics but will hopefully have some tm.

No pics today got a bit busy working on my truck.

We have roots out of the sides of the net on every plant. Amazing less than a week and they are moving.

Pics coming tm.

I'm calling a big favor to a friend who has been veging (5) of those Pre 98 Bubbas in 5 gallon dwc buckets. They are about 8" tall and already have an established root mass below the nets.

Few questions I have for doing the transition from his DWC bucket to my UC. I'm going to see what PPM he is running them at. I know he is using sensi grow with no additives.

I am running Heavy16 veg nutes with some Liquid karma and roots excel. At about 340 PPM atm.

Will I be able to expect a smooth transition from his dwc buckets to UC?

Anything I should do that will insure a smoother transition with less stress? Please let me know

Nice progress! I think the transition from DWC to UC should be pretty straight forward while the plants are still in veg, but I have no experience with it.

Keep up the good work Stu! :joint:

Oh and another question regarding to PH.

Now when I check my system it is at 6.0 when the lights first turn on.

I add PH down to 5.5 then it has been going up to 6.0 the following day.

Do I let it run higher than 6.0? Then add PH down to about 5.5 ?

The plants have yellow/green color to them its not a solid green or a deep green just concerned.

thx stu :joint:

Thats the thing you shouldn't need to add ph adjusters after its adjusted the first time. 6.0 is good I like mine there I let it drift between 5.3 - 6.3 and if I need adjusting usually I just flush and refill fresh nutes. Mine stays stable for at least 2 weeks and if not that usually means something funny
Oh I almost forgot the first week your gonna get ph rising from the hydroton. I usually flush after a week to get the rest of the clay junk out
Good luck

BG thanks for the tip. I had been dropping the PH every day to about 5.5 from 6.0. Will take your advice thanks.

Bubba arrived today only thing that I wish my buddy did different was that he didn't have it in a 4" net pot. Oh well a 4th is better than no 4th at all. Roots are pretty nice has had them in the buckets for 2 weeks at a PPM of 700. Check the pics
