The New Testament and much of what Christians call the Old Testament are written in chiasmic form. (That is, composed of chiasms.)

Basically, it's part poetry and part mnemonic devise to help the (likely illiterate) preacher, missionary, bishop, etc. memorize the key points in the mythos that need to be told and the order in which they must be told.

The symmetry of the chiasms in much of the modern new testament are fragmented, largely because what we call Mark was the original book which was later used as source material for the rest of the 'official' gospels (matthew, luke & john).

A simple example of a small chiasm for reference:

(John 1:1-2)

(A) In the beginning was the Word,

(B) and the Word was with God,

----MIDDLE----

(B') and the Word was God.

(A') He was in the beginning with God.

Also, Christianity was founded by a guy named Paul. Jesus was a mythological figure partly based on real-life events that Paul had heard of on his travels. The gospels were written later than Paul's letters and much content within them reflects the subsequent evolution of the mythos beyond Paul's own idea.

im always surprised when people dont know that a cannabis plants number blades on a leaf goes up from 1 to 3, 5, 7, 9 as it vegges to maturity, then as it starts to flower it starts to go down 9, 7, 5, 3, 1...

of course there are mutant exceptions but usually not

I know the egg came first .......

It did, assuming if you believe in linear evolution.

But if you're from the philosophical school of thought then you see that since actuality ALWAYS proceeds potentiality, it can be deduced that the chicken MUST have come first.

genetically speaking, it's the most likely scenario. the "animal/bird" that laid the first egg that bore a chicken was almost a chicken but not quite..I'd go as far as to say the parent birds were probably closley related but different species to eachother (kinky).

I guess I'm down with kinky evolution ;)

exactly what I said..... IF you believe in linear evolution.

Genetically speaking, I certainly wouldn't say the most likely scenario but I will concede that it is the most excepted theory in the scientific community.

There are some that believe in the magic genie .... um I mean the jesus/god method of stuff just appearing ..... a little wiggle of the noise, opps. there's a chicken
