Mean! Hey bro just a word of advice...Stay away from the flairform PH down they sell in NZ hydro shops. Its SHIT! It's citric acid and a little bit of researching these forums will show you its effects are incredibly short lived and within hours the PH drifts up again. I strugled for ages with it until I found a PH down that was phosphoric acid, much better.

Your'e right about this stuff. I'm not having much luck with it. I've added 18mls of ph down over the course of the day which is way too much. Going to find another product to use.

There real big now ogk... you have created a monster lol you might even need to add another light to keep up with them i know its extra faffing about ... but looking good ;)

what ec are you on now ..with those powderd ferts?

Running EC between 1.2-1.4 I might be upping it to try and get some ph buffering out of my ferts to counter rising ph. I'm keen on some bigger lights and digital switchable ballasts hoping to replace the 400w and 250w with dual 600w tubes and make the 400w a vert in the middle. maybe the next grow hehe

They are getting rather large. I have to stand on a stepladder to take photos of the canopy lol.

looking good brother.cant wait for the next couple of weeks growth.

Going to get hairy! :D

NICEEE you must have that light nice and cold to have it be that close. Looking good.

Top is cold to touch loving the cooltube. Cold exterior air + big ass fan lol Thanks for stopping by :)

LOL looks like you must have won the logo competition brutha! congrats!

Sure did! hehe Had to make a custom globe to make new zealand bigger haha.. gotta represent quite happy with the way it turned out.

The guys at ICMAG were really generous will be sure to post some pics of my awesome prizes when they arrive :D

some pics

50 meters of gardeners twine and 3 spliffs later lol I took the reflector off the tube I'm going to train around it.

nothing below the canopy now. I pruned over a period of 2 weeks didn't want them to get stressed. Think this might have contributed to the stretching on top.

2 x 600 watters sounds good that should match the growth you've got ..i use 2 x 400w but thats enough for me really.
Have you fliped yet or did i miss that post ..sorry if i did ,any sign of buds yet as they will be HUGE by the end of week 3 flowering ,
If you want to keep your ph stable use a bigger res as the small ones are erratic with ph swings and they hold more co2 for your plants to enjoy :)

shes a jungle in there! poor lights are getting smothered your going to end up with a "semi vertical grow" hahah

if you can keep the PH under control you can bring that EC up a bit ... just do it gradually and keep an eye on the girls as you go .... there going to need it soon

day 19 12/12 I've upgraded the reservoir to 50L/13gallon and increased the the slope on the gullys and modified the table to make res dumps easier. Running 5.8-6ph EC steady on 1.5

Things are getting hairy can't wait to see these girls fatten up.
The gullies are packed full of roots little nft system running at full capacity lol

I can see the white roots popping out the bottom or the gully ,cool... so it looks like its all under control, good stuff ogk

Any chance of a photo of inside the gully im just curious to see how many lovely roots you have in there ...

Hows the bigger res doing as well is it any easier to control ph?

I'll take some gully snaps for ya tomorrow. They are packed but looking healthy using lots of h2o2 lol :p Still having rising ph issues but switching back to phosphoric acid for ph down. have decided floraform ph down is useless with anything but floraform nute formulas.

Snuck into the growroom a few minutes before the lights came on and took some shots. Had to get on a stepladder lol. The lights came on just as I was taking the 2nd shot of the mother. Captured the bulb igniting lol Doing my best to tame the hydro and keep them around the tube.. One of the the tops got burnt by the cooltube can just make it out in the photo.

They're budding up nicely ogk ... i would defo go with phosphoric as a ph adjuster it lasts longer ... it'll be good to see your roots, some times the plastic on my trays gets lifted by the roots there's that much of it, They must be are pretty strong to do that IMO.

Do you flush your rootballs? as they can get a bit of a salt build up over time ,just a warning.

looking good other wise ;)

Cheers! I flush roots with h2o2 3% and water when I dump the res. Noticed some build up in the water pipe last time but some h2o2 bubbled it out. Also adding 1ml/litre h2o2 to the res every 3rd day or so. I love h2o2 lol.

Got some plain phosphoric acid and the ph is back on track. 3mls of the stuff and ph has been on 5.7 for 2 days :)

 phosphoric acid.

are you almost maxed out on that light? Lovin' it.

Out of vertical room completely lol to take pics of the canopy I need to stand on a ladder. Now I know the room and the hydro kit works I'm gonna treat myself another cooltube and some bigger lights for xmas.

:tree:

My stash-boxes arrived! My prize for winning the logo competition..They are pure class the craftsmanship is amazing. Thanks heaps GN & Team I really feel spoilt hehe :p

Also attached some shots of the overgrown room I've been training the buds around the light in a circle. Have also had to send some colas from the 400w into the 250w shade. I was expecting much more popcorn when things went out of control but a majority of the buds are looking pretty filled out.

some shots also of the roots for ya rocket high. They are some shots I took when changing the res last time. Was trying to get a photo of down the gully. I've had to trim and tuck the roots into the gullies to stop them invading the res and blocking the gully lol.

found a setting on my camera for tungston lights that works well with hps.

Wow no wonder you have problems keeping the roots in the channels, very impressive, ;)
Even using wider channels wouldnt help ,they seem to know where the res is and make a bee line for it... lol

Your plants seem to be filling out real well it looks like it will be a bumper harvest for you , well done

looking forward to seeing your new lighting rig is it 600w your going for ?

24 hours on + bubblers in the reservoir and generous amounts of h2o2. Bigger reservoir is easier to maintain.
square capillary mats under each pot.
res temps below 20C/70F
regular topping up regime is a must I think. day1 feed/day 2 water+h202 / day 3 feed / day 4 plain water.

regular pure phosphoric acid is working great as a phdown. Only need a few drops every couple of days.

cheers for the link dugg. :)

heres a shot from the ladder day 40 of flower. :)
