I´ve now met my artist! She has a 6mo waiting list but she had a "vision" of how to redo my shoulder so it´ll be worth the wait. I´ll be getting a halfsleeve with an extension on my chest and back.

Why can´t it be May alredy?

I'm interested in getting a sleeve done. I want to do a simple but elegant pattern that completely covers one arm from wrist to shoulder. Something like this:

That's the lead singer of H.I.M. and no, I'm not a fan of his music. Just like the tat.

i don't understand the culture of tatoos. i mean, once they're in place, you are limited in your choices if you grow tired of them, or feel regretful for having them done. i know some cultures around the world, the pacific islands for example, where they tell stories about your ancestors, your life, etc....and i will admit that i find some tatoos to be very beautiful art. but, honestly, how much self loathing does it take to paint your entire face and stick metal objects through your nose and forehead? i would like to have access to the psychological records of the dude pictured above. i'd be willing to bet this guy is extremely unstable with a psychiatric history.

in the united states, the professional football players are showing more ink these days. the thing about some of these guys is they make pretty good money, yet they seem to prefer the "jailhouse" looking junk, particularly the black guys. i have also noticed more and more "branding" type markings, scars from being burned. i really don't understand this at all. i guess its not meant for me to understand.

Whatever you do, DON'T DO THIS! Unless you are in a main stream band that makes alot of money or you are a professional athlete that is set for life..Cause more than likely, If you walk into a job interview with this shit on your face, You WILL not get the job, Or atleast not a job worth having....lol..

Can you imagine, you walk into the Hospital to get heart surgery and your Dr. has this on his face? lol...Yeah, Exactly!

This dude either plans on living with his mommy the rest of his life, or his band is very famous, and will never need to get a real job....

don't get me wrong.. I have alot of tats, left armm is a full sleeve and my right arm has 5 big pieces on it.... but neck and face tats wouldn't be a good thing as far as keepiing my 80K job.

That sleeve above is really nice though...

I have no intention of getting a facial tattoo of any kind, much less a skull.

I was just looking for pics to liven up the discussion.

I do like that guy from HIM's sleeve, but I don't own any of his albums or know any of his songs. They could be the best band ever, but I kinda doubt it.

I took this of Enigma at the Denver tattoo convention. I jiggled a bit as I was getting a calf piece done by one of my daughters artists. The back of your knee is a real tender spot for the needle too. His name is Enigma, he's tatted as a jigsaw puzzle and has horns coming out of his fore head, and he's tinted gren covers his whole bod. Jeez bet that shit hurt.

lets just say i wear what would be back-pieces on most people on my upper arms... and proudly sport ink from both Guy and Hannah Aitchison. Strange how your body gets covered by ink when you have friends who tattoo.

Was on youtube looking up CaddyShack which is considered one of the funniest movies of all time in Australia ...here's Kenny Loggins singing the theme "I'm Alright "
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-WQNMWBSGUQ
(performed in Santa Barbara , Ca ...sans tattoos)

but funny someone commenting

Look, skin without tattoos! I miss that good old days!

World keeps changing , many more stories to tell & letting our feelings show
Tattoo does that to some degree...

also ,a great performance reinforcing the concept that the entire race of
Caucasians on earth can't dance or even clap in time .;)

great song , great performance,

* caveat: causcasian that can dance
