Hey Pedro, Those are some wild modifications to your cabinets. When you start a new thread, please take a wide angle photo and walk us through the pieces and parts.
Have you experimented with the UV-C light lately? What were your results of hitting the plants with 20 second bursts? Was there any change besides the death of bugs?
I have two of those bulbs. I want one inside the air intake and one in the exhaust. To kill any bugs making their way into the cabinet and the second would destroy odours leaving the cabinet. I was surprised to read that it would kill odours without producing Ozone. It is a very interesting bulb while also being danagerous.
To prevent accidental exposure, a key operated switch might be a good idea. A contact switch on the door could disconnect the negative/ground wire if the door was opened during operation.
Keep use updated, Love the work!
Thanks, and I'll try to make proper introduction the next time round.
I didn't use the UV light against bugs though, I used CO2 and predator mites to get rid of them. And UV-C as mold and mildew protection.
Perhaps if the air was pulled through a large box for a slower flow rate, for longer exposure time, it could kill all bugs. But when ever you have your door open, the adult thrips is attracted to the light, and spidermites are more likely to use either the grower's clothes or "imported" cutlings as a host to get in.
I thought UV-C would generate ozone?
I couldn't tell any difference from the other buds when I smoked it.
Thanks for your input, I would love to see how you end up using the bulbs.
cheers
