Many people today really like fruity or spicy mostly indica dominant cultivars, and that's perfectly okay. But how about a tasty but ancient (obsolete?) equatorial sativa cultivar like Panama Red?

That strain predated the modern age of sinsemilla, so there were some genetics available out there at one time. Lost forever? I hope not ...

my mentor bought a couple of houses running nothing but grape romulan. this was a few years ago when you could get 44 for what you get for 32 now. he was running it inside and out.... that was his work bitch hahaha

i havent talked with him for a bit but id bet hes still running it...

nice yeilding plant and easy to grow....
and she should be relatively available without much fuss even if you arent in california thanks to some good peeps i know

Yea, last time I was in Cali we picked some up pretty cheap. I figured once the circle who was running her hard let her out of the bag everyone would have her.

Unfortunately most clones being passed around as being the "Shiska" are just more recent crosses I'm afraid because there have been some smaller breeders using it to make hybrids in recent years. Unless you can be 100% sure and saw the beans popped yourself out of the seed pack I would be highly suspect of a so called Shishka clone. Just my input on them but that does not mean it's not out there I am sure it is in some form or another.

One of the best strains ever to come out of the SOL camp.

tell ya what..there is a co op somewhere round socal my bro used to go to that has shiska x multple backcross romulan from federation...shit is a super thumper..stand up, stonewise, against just bout anything...

Iced out salt grain blue crystals...smells and taste of blue rasberry/grapes//intesne flavor...like smoking dank OG for the first time..your palate just is tang with taste...high ..is on another level....feels awsome....makes me wanna do anything and everything..time flys fucken by...9 weeks harvest.....no stretch...oh yeah..and nugz the sizes of baseballs....and this is no bullshit...i'm making some cuts next week....i will do a whole log on ICMAG....shit...Gypsy I promise you if i make any seeds..you will be the one to sell them and only on ICMAG...just be prepared everyone...your gonna fucken be stoked out your fucken dome when you these ladies...i found this one pheno out of 50 seeds.....was superior to everything in that run....still have almost a 1,000 seeds left..and just for fun...my family is going back to Iran this spring and taking a trip down to Afghanistan....if ur from the old school generation(Persian) the Afghans love you and will hook you up left and right...so when i get more seeds from those huge hash fields....i'll be rocking those too......being a first generation Iranian American born and raised in So Cal..i have found a nice niche...and will milk it for everything its worth....if i tried to go to Afghanistan and get seeds...even though i look the part....with my Cali Accent...i'd be prize4 bounty for the Taliban thats why the old school cats got passes all day...just like being from the Jungles and having all the Hoovaz give you a pass

This thread blew up! Wow, it’s great to see the wide response and definitely seeing some new ones as well that I didn’t even know about. Being in Southern California the mixing pot of the world’s best or at least most famous elites, it’s nice to hear about many of these wonderful genetics from around the world. I kind of have a feeling that the next few generations of breeding out here are going to go in the same directions but exaggerated…at least for the clone only and Fem seed scene. Nonetheless, people are already starting to look for new and unique things…this often means going back and stabilizing landrace breeding lines as well as breeding with more direction.
Tropical sativas…for some reason these seem to stay held in small circles even when seeded bud is still available to locals occasionally. But genetics available if you are enough of an enthusiast to find the beans. Southern California is just starting to gain a bit of interest in Landrace strains…We almost have to rework the original building blocks properly in order to come up with new breeding lines that can compete with the proven cuts. Breeding and rebreeding the same dank cuts is only gonna get so far.
Alright…I’ll run through the cuts so far…hopefully I didn’t leave any out!
Pure Kush—Some pheno’s available in the Medi scene…that super cut that is OG leaning kind of interests me a bit!
Grape Romulan—Definitely making the rounds
Elvis—I’ve spotted the king out here recently.
SFV and Tahoe---a bit of drama and fakes going on with those cuts but they are out
ABC—That Aussie bastard strain, yep, I don’t expect to see that one anytime soon!
NYC Piff—You got me there
Brainstorm Haze—Hey Medfinder, Isn’t Brainstorm Haze a release by Delta9…maybe a lucky pheno?
Shoreline--that name is coming up a lot lately. Must be nice stuff. I gotta admit I haven’t seen it at all. And Hash Zep, I used to watch Kramer all the time…def time to invest in hemp, Buy Buy Buy!
Real Romulan---haven’t seen it
Legit Bubba--there’s definitely legit cuts going around have to agree there are a LOT of versions…never understood (although I am somewhat thankful ) why the Master Kush cut didn’t get the same treatment.
MTF---there’s a clone going around, but I hear it’s actually a cross.
Ghost cut—I think your right, haven’t seen it
Pezz—Hey Ghostly…never heard of it, how is it?
Equadorial landraces—Love em! Available in seed occasionally…other than that I’ve seen the “Celestrial Temple Sativa” which is an Ecuadorian landrace. Also, hey Pointswest, nice plant…any info on “Amber Alert?”
Sweettooth—I’ve seen it available as the Oaksterdam cuts that flow down here.
Kriss Kross---sounds like a heavy commercial hit. I’ve never heard of it…do you have any info on the background?
Shiskaberry—I’ve seen it…just starting to go around here.
Loompa’s Headband—I’ve seen the Daywrecker and the 707 but Loompa is news to me. Sounds pretty good.
Original "Day Wrecker" Diesel—Isn’t that the same as the Daywrecker headband cut?
Kromes Blockhead—yeah, that one is around here for sure.
Katsu Bubba Kush—I don’t see it much either. I think I could get it if needed though.
Garberville Purple Kush—Yep, haven’t seen it…

J1—I’ve seen it around…probably from the same cut everyone’s talking about on here too.
Roadkill Skunk---Well there sure are a lot of famous skunk cuts starting to circulate. I know a guy that is supposed to get a real roadkill soon so I guess we’ll see. I personally don’t think RKS is from Skunk lineage but there sure are stinky phenos for sure.
Rene---I think that one is getting released very soon.
Purple Haze—Very true…I hear the real good purple haze only got to the market for one year.
Mothership---yes, I’ve heard of that one too but only by reading Jason King’s book…Anyone have some real experience with the mothership? Heard she grows like a vine…maybe thai or Columbian “creeper” background?
Fire OG—Yeah, I’ll let the dust settle on that one
P-Gum---sounds like a good solid tasty cross.
Chem 09---oh man, haven’t even heard of that one.
Skywalker OG—I’ve seen it around, not too common though…Seems like the big cuts are Tahoe, Larry, and Valley right now.

Dipset's purple haze—Is that like the Piff? Those Dominican’s are probably using some island genetics.
Real G-13—I’ve heard it was a very weak plant vigor wise and doesn’t exist anymore. Seen some norcal G-13 that I’m not sure what it is, but have also seen the Airborne and Pacific cut floating around which are both hybrids.
Metal Haze—yeah, I’d like to get that one too…too bad the seeds aren’t made anymore.
Herijuana—Seeds are still available if you search a bit...the line is still being bred.
g-sus—Reeferman…yeah, I haven’t seen it either.
OGer—haven’t seen it, but definitely see plenty of other og cuts. I don’t hear much about Oger anymore.
purple erkle—I see it, but usually out of stock on cuts…funny now that you mention it.
cali-o—Haven’t seen that but I hear that Tangerine Kush is a good new school replacement.
hp x Ortega—Nope, but LUI is Ortega pheno is available.
Sputnik 2.0—Haven’t seen it…I think maybe in seed form though?
Yumbolt—Haven’t seen it.
Blockhead—Krome’s cut is going around, but no others that I can see…I would really be interested in some of the rarer phenos.
Seattle Death? I have heard of a cut called Death around but not sure if it’s the same one. Do you know the lineage?
Indiana Bubblegum would probably be some nice breeding stock and I don’t think it’s available over here.
I thought DJ released his Blueberry cut to the medi-scene, I have seen it available but never in stock. DJ seems to be making the rounds teaching growing classes in SoCal and spreading his genetics too. Speaking of, I’d love to see the cut of Ol blue or Oregon Blue make the rounds. I hear it is pure blueberry. Dabney Blue (questionable blueberry lineage) is definitely around and so is the DJ motherplant.

Biker Champagne ---we do need some good Hashplant cuts in Socal…seems like the canadian’s know their hashplants.
Ozwizzle---sounds like you’ve got a winner. The blue color seems to come out rarely in pure lines such as Pure Thai or a few of the untouched pure indica Lines. Seems like you got some good breeding material there. Might wanna look for a suitable father in your seeds to keep the line pure.
Hasan—Your right, never even heard of it. Sounds like an indica
Panama Red—Would love to get my hands on a real cut!
Hawaiian Strains—Totally right…now that I think of it, there’s some major hoarding going on over there lol. I’ve heard a lot of their keepers don’t really show their insane potential outside of paradise though.

Poison Og Kush—I’ve seen this cut available.
Norcal CatPiss—Only keep seeing the San Diego Catpiss
HP13—I hear this one is about to be released in the medi scene but I also hear the genetics are a bit tired by now.

booyah...funny story...may mean something...may not...i think a lot of the clone vendors watch the socal threads and name things accordingly...i wouldnt put too much stock in the celestial temple sativa being that...there was no mention for YEARS and within 48 hours of me and a couple peeps talking about it, it was listed by two diff vendors on two diff sights mentioning where a special drop of celestial would be...like i said...could be coincidence...but i dunno...
