Everyone will tell you the war on drugs is a war, not on drugs, on freedom, justice and greed to name a few. Users and the abusers against power and corruption, both parties have fault, but the 'Law' is still the biggest crime yet.
You can't be nice to pigs, they'll never be nice you to, to be the "bigger" person is to bend over.
What is corruption to you exactly? To loyally obey the corrupt laws is honesty?
There should be no 'LEO', 'Law' should not exist. 'Law' is corruption.

My experience with pigs is that they lie, cheat, and steal, and brutalize. They are personally weak minded individuals, and thus have to band together in a fraternity of thugs, no better than any gang. They use any methods possible to lock us up and steal our property. Alone, a pig is a coward. Thus the need to be a joiner, to gang up with other pigs in order to violate our rights. Their uniforms, batons, guns make them feel powerful, to replace their innate impotence. They are jackbooted cowards-nothing more. They use our tax dollars to persecute us, and rob us. They murder innocents on a regular basis. No respect to American pigs.

Yeah but that goes either way. The question in this case would be which group is he more loyal to? Personally I don't get all the fuss though. I mean virtually everyone here agrees there are cops lurking and that there's nothing that can be done about it. That means that you have to be careful at all times about what you say and do. This one here decided to make himself known, so with him there is no doubt and therefore you know for certain to be careful around him. Really this guy is safer due to the fact he's known.
I mean let's say some random grower does a grow diary for some kickass strain everyone is wanting to try and people follow it along and the person doing it is friendly with everyone. Then after he harvests in the diary he starts pm'ing people and offering them seeds or clones. The vast majority would accept the offer and feel relatively safe because they guy presented a grow diary. Yet he could just as easily be a cop that used pictures confiscated in a bust and the offer for seeds or clones could just be a setup to bust people. Now take that exact same scenario except instead of it being a random grower it's this guy who is a known cop. Are you going to be as likely to accept that offer?
Really though all anyone needs do is apply a little common sense logic to the reality of things. First and foremost this is an International site based out of the Netherlands. Marijuana is not illegal there. Not like it is here in the US. Now being an International site there are folks from the US, from Canada, Spain, Greece, Poland, Israel, and so forth and so on. That means that anyone a cop might find here could be anywhere in the world. The likelihood they'll find someone in their particular jurisdiction is very small. Now add to that the fact that the vast majority here are relatively small growers. So small that busting them would not be any big deal. It would also be as if the cop were saying he is so incompetent that he doesn't know what's going on in his own jurisdiction just from honest police work, that the only way he could get a bust was to log onto a pot web site and hope he got lucky enough to find someone in his jurisdiction and stupid enough to reveal his identity and/or location to someone he doesn't really know.
The reality is this, most of us the cops are not going to waste time, energy and resources on because we are too insignificant. That's not to say you won't get busted if you're careless and make it too easy. It just means they're not so hungry to bust you that they'll go to the trouble to hunt down small time closet growers who grow for themselves. Now if you're some big shot commercial grower rocking a dozen or so 1K lights....Well in my opinion you're an idiot for being here and a moron for risking what you got going just so you can show it off and/or brag about it. Serious commercial growers, the kind cops would actively hunt down, with more then a couple of IQ points to rub together to spark a thought, wouldn't be caught dead on a site like this. If for some reason they needed any information this site had they'd just pretend to be some average joe grower and quietly get what they need and leave.

It could be seen as discrimination in one way or another. People wouldn't be racist on here for fear of being banned etc even though most have prejudices of some kind against people of some kind. To be honest i think the fact that the guy said hes a cop scares some people, but really its just a reminder that cops do read these sites. I think having him around on this site will remind people that the police do read sites like this, which can only be a good thing because it will remind people to be very careful in what photos they post and the content of their posts and private messages. I say give him a Cop badge on his avatar for people to see. I'm sure he wouldnt have any objections to that.

I think it's a dangerous precedent to openly allow members of Law Enforcement to be members of this site. Not because I think they are bad people. But because of their taking an oath to uphold the Laws of the region they police in..... And we all know in most areas they are told to arrest people that grow and smoke Cannabis.
If we allowed this, and one was able to befriend certain people they could make numerous arrests from these boards. And that's not something I'm comfortable with. In the 6 plus years this site has been online, I can only recall one arrest from someone getting inv with a policeman through these forums. And that's something we take pride in.
I commend the police for the arrests they make involving crimes such as rape, molestation, murder and the likes. But I can't commend them for arresting people that grow and smoke Cannabis. And in my opinion, opening the door to allow Law Enforcement to be members here would be no different than running through poison ivy or swimming in a river inhabited by crocodiles....... It's an accident waiting to happen....
I long for the day that Cannabis users and Law Enforcement can co exist and work together to protect each other from the real criminals in this world. But until the laws change, the majority of Law Enforcement are mandated to arrest people like ourselves. And for this reason I feel that this thread should be closed. If Gypsy chooses to reopen this thread, that is fine, as it's his site. But I don't feel comforatable with it.....
