LOL good luck competing with that, paying your $0.40/kwh and having to pay additional overhead that these people don't have to.

People like BhT think that these guys will never, ever get good at growing pot, that having a lab-grade facility with all the know-how and resources in the world can't possibly produce excellent, world-class pot in a mass-production style. I hope BhT is the first to go out of business, and be forced to sell his home and move into a trailer park.

Man, I was really hoping I'd get another solid year or two out of this game before these factories started up...

There are discounts you can get with PG E if you do your research. And no matter what, there is always a market for ORGANIC grown pot, or COCO organics, with flavor and terps that you just cant do commercial.

Hash, Hash Oil, plus these places will be providing us with clones....

Growing your own is the only way to go....

There will always be a need for more. This is a HUGE market. No need to worry about big corporation. But theres your answer to prop 19

Its going to happen no matter if it passes or not.

Those discounts are for poor broke people... any non-poor/broke people using this would be considered fraud. Is committing fraud in order to get a discount to stay competitive in the game really considered a tactic/tool?

Are you kidding me with this organic/coco/terps crap? Why can't "commercial" pot:

  • Be organic
  • Taste good
  • Be of significant higher quality than what most people have ever seen and will ever see out of their garden
SCF is yet another that must think that producing world-class pot consistently in a massively large scale in perfect environments by extremely trained and resource-laden people is impossible. Just because you suck or had a hard time with growing perfect weed doesn't mean everyone else does, or will.

Just wait and see, your so-called "skills" will be worth absolutely nothing. Referring to people who claim they're going to make money and stay in biz by catering to the "connoisseur" or "high end market". LOL I can't stop laughing. Mostly because I grow "the stickiest of the icky" and higher quality pot than most of these guys who think they're so good, yet I'm still concerned because I know how easy it is. Seems the guys that feel a strong sense of job security w/ growing for a living are a bit too full of themselves and their false sense of skill.

First off you dont know me, nor my growing skills. So your comments, wont effect me. LOL

Second. I do believe it can be done in a large scale operation. And i hope they do.

But just like wine some prefer a mer lot over a Cabernet. There is a difference.

So dont tell me what you think i know, or my opinions.

I never said a big operation cant grow good marijuana. Their are just all kinds of different consumers, and this wont be the ONLY market. As well as the supply and demand....

and for the discounts, its called a medical discount.... which is way better than the C.A.R.E discount. It allows you more KW at lower cost. Because when you go over a certain amount. the price doubles and triples. but with medical, it allows way more KW at a lower cost such as 22 cents per kw..

Do your research....

Medical Baseline Allowance

Get additional quantities of energy at the lowest (baseline) price for residential customers. To qualify for Medical Baseline, a California-licensed physician must certify that a full-time resident in your home has one of these medical conditions:

Dependent on life-support equipment while at home*
A paraplegic, hemiplegic, quadriplegic or multiple sclerosis patient with special heating and/or cooling needs
A scleroderma patient with special heating needs
A life-threatening illness or compromised immune system with special heating and/or cooling requirements to sustain the patient's life or prevent deterioration of the patient's medical condition

no fraud in this, but i guess im just helping you being lazy, and not doing your own research to save money hu... :booked:

which could be passed on to PATIENTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think 103.972% of growers who make a living growing would not qualify for that w/o also qualifying for fraud. So, commit fraud in order to hope to get electric 2.5x as much as your future competition is going to pay?

And I think 99.9972105019295% of the growers who don't make a living, and are otherwise considered "medical", would not qualify for that w/o also qualifying for fraud.

Good research, sir. Way to go, promoting "committing fraud in order to survive against the giants".

Good research, sir. By the way, I think 99.9972105019295% of the growers who don't make a living, and are otherwise considered "medical", would not qualify for that w/o also qualifying for fraud.

you are wrong, and if you are a caregiver, which is THE ONLY WAY TO GROW IN CALIFORNIA LEGALLY, IS BECAUSE OF SICK PATIENTS. Then yes of course the caregiver can get the discount. In which it is passed down to the patient in prices.

If you read it, it clearly states heating and cooling needs for the sick.

This is such a case. There is no fraud. And you are not allowed to grow for profit under 215. So whats your point?

because im getting.... ( Yawn.... stretch)....

I think alot of you are failing to realize the big picture and how many aspects of the market can and will be influenced by the legalization of marijuana in california. There is much more to cannabis then cultivation.

SCF, the "heating and cooling needs for the sick" that you mention is referring to the actual cooling and heating needs of the individual, not the individual's plant's that's going to hopefully eventually become the medication, especially not the heating and cooling needs of the plant's of a caregiver at a different location than the patient who has "heating and cooling needs". You're simply stretching the terms extremely loosely and grasping at straws to make it fit at your convenience. Will it stand up in court? I don't know, but I'm sure some pricey lawyer can get you off a fraud charge or five. Loosely stretching those terms with poor "stoner logic" with zero basis on truth or reality whatsoever is simply wrong, and horrible advice especially given by someone with a "Moderator" badge. Shame on you.

BhT, it's obvious there's more potential than cultivation, but that's not what I'm concerned with. My key concern is with cultivation, relating to supply & demand.

You dont Judge me. That is my opinion, its beneficial to the SICK. and in no way does not apply to a medical marijuana patient. And PGE has come out and spoke about this.

Good day sir your trollish attacks are not forgotten :)

Sure I know those are your "opinions", just as everyone has one. But just because you're an ICMag moderator, and just because you have this opinion that you formed, does not necessarily mean it's true. Especially when it goes against something that spells out specific conditions that most DO NOT qualify under. When someone goes out of the way to specifically spell out qualifying conditions, it usually means you need to specifically fit them. It doesn't mean that if the terms don't fit, that you and your opinion should stretch those terms as widely and loosely as possible until they finally fit and then ignore the rest.

Please cite references to where "PG&E has come out and spoken" on this matter. Perhaps that will settle it. Otherwise, please issue an apology and edit your posts that preach "fraud for survival if Prop 19 passes".

I love stoner logic.

(I also have a feeling that SCF isn't coming back to this thread. Could be wrong...)

Yes i already pointed it out to you. If a docter deams you need more Electricity for heating and cooling needs under those circumstance than there is no fraud. I dont think a doctor is going to commit FRAUD just so you can get cheaper electricity.

Also in that cause, what you are implying, most people on prop 215 dont have a serious illness? then you are implying that most people are committing fraud ?

I will not go back and forth with someone who wont do there own research. I already put the proof in front of your face. Not eat cake, and quit using me as a moderator as your tool of defense.

As i moderate 1 forum. Dr. Jays Medical forum. Which has nothing to do with me being an active member here on IC mag, as you see my join date, and as we see your join date.

I am a moderator for free, no one pays me nothing, and i am simply like a Secretary, just making sure all the files are in order, concerning threads. Thats all. So quit making me out to be some big bad guy, because i am just like anyone else here. Human, with eyes, fingers, feet and a brain.

I will have to step away from this thread as your attacks are weightless, and redundant, with no point. And you are going off topic on this thread. I was pertaining to small time growers, who are SICK, and need extra baseline. So dont wave your finger at me, for trying to inform people how to save money, especially most of these SICK people are on LOW INCOMES.

I have more positive & informative posts on this site than you, and I've been here almost as long. Are we really gonna pull out the post count & join date to measure the iDickSize?

So where's this statement from PG&E? Or just more stretching of the imagination?

I'm not going to dig around just to prove you wrong. I already did. If a doctor say that you need it for medical conditions for any of those related items listed, or deterioration of your health, then you qualify. End of story.

No you didn't. You kept spilling more of your own "opinions" on why it should fit, when it clearly doesn't.

Misleading, or having the wink-wink-nod-nod relationship with, your doctor does not make it non-fraudulent. It lists life-critical conditions, and although I'm sure some will qualify, it is going to be very few compared to the number of people abusing this system.

Oh, yeah, like how Budweiser makes 'world class' beer, and Camels are 'world class' tobacco? People will buy this mass-produced GARBAGE, but those of us who appreciate fine herbs will always be able to grow our own or find friends with the real-deal. What makes you think these guys will make world-class herb instead of whatever has the highest profit margin? And when has anything in history gotten better through mass-production?

No, Budweiser is a world-class business that knows how to extract the maximum amount of dollars from the working man. Camel is the same of the tobacco business. It would not cost Budweiser that much more money to brew what you consider would be "world-class beer", and it's not that they don't have the know-how. If the lowest common denominator wanted what you and I now consider "world-class beer", that's what Budweiser would be brewing, trust me.

Tell me, is Cleetus in rural Tennessee livin' it up, ballin' off of that family moonshine recipe?

your fear mongering attacks leave me to believe you are full of crap.

Are you going to tell me i have a wink wink nod nod relationship with my Dr for prop 215? How about the 400,000 people plus here in California, and 14 other states? Didn't think so.

Go wink wink and nod nod elsewhere because your points are valid-less.

Am i guilty by association just because i have a mod tag? Or do you just like attacking me personally because you have a personal vendetta? Hmmm your post do seem awfully similar to......

*Sorry, for redundancy just noticed Aries pretty much already addressed this.

Not to get dragged into this, but many people grow their own veggies as the quality is far superior to the commercial varieties. Hence, farmers markets.

A lot of people brew their own beer for the same reason.

I think commercial can produce a fine product, but I think Micro growers will always produce better.

Could be wrong but just using other industries to show, what might work out to be the same for MMM.

I bet you my local brewery will beat any of Budweiser beers HANDS DOWN!

Local Hops, local everything.

Perhaps a wink-wink-nod-nod about needing massive amounts of extra electricity for "heating and cooling" of your "life-support equipment". "Yeah, we'll just call those 1000w lights life-support, *wink*"

I bet you Budweiser makes many more billions of dollars than your local brewery HANDS DOWN! International money, international everything.
