The only way to really test your plants is to smoke them first ,see which plants have the most kick which is great for the females but the males are a hit n hope so keep a few cuttings of all the plants making sure you don't get any mixed up like i've done in the past which lost my prized sensi star male.
Some males will produce trichomes with out turning hermi on you so keep a eye out for those plants and because MIS is well out of its comfort zone so if you don't get many trichomes or there really tiny try running the clones a few times as i've noticed that alot of landrace types especially sativas don't produce alot of trichomes(or there just so small you need a mag glass to see em)
so always give them atleast another run to see how they turn out cause they need to be genetically mature to really see whats what.
I've grown out a few RSC's MIS and had the same problem indoors, and next season i'll be doing a few outdoors as well as indoors.I've still got 1 male i kept as he was the only 1 that had really wide leafs and a short and stocky structure i'm going to hopefully use the male with 1 of my favourite sativas,my luang prabang lao's/thai,colombian,mexican or malawi or i might just chuck the lot in with the MIS,i've also got loads of african seeds durban poison which i grew a few last year and wasn't to impressed but i didn't have the room for cuttings at the time which i'm sure would of done alot better second time round and there swazi red beard which i've not grown out yet.

Hello Darwin !

Sympa tes filles, les calices sont énooOormes !! :D De mon humble avis, tu peux les laisser encore un moment afin d'avoir un max de graines bien matures, tu verras bien lorsque les premières commenceront à tomber d'elles meme.

I whish you a lot of beautiful seeds ;) byebye :tiphat:

salut corium :D merci bcp pour votre avis mon ami! je pense que vous avez raison donc je vais les laiser pour probablement 1-2 semaines jusqu'a ce qu'ils soient brunes ou lorsque les premieres commenceront a tomber d'elles meme comme vous avez dit :D votre guatamalans poussent bien j'espere!

Wow dude, those plants have vigour to the max!!! Cant wait to pick the seeds out of those juicy calyxes :D

haha yeah should be good mate, as soon as i see the majority of them being brown i'll probably cut the girls at the base make newspaper covers for them and hang them to dry for a week or so, then just shake them, and pick the ones that don't fall out :D i'll have to get ya over when it happens hehe

very angry today... turns out the timer has been broken for i don't know how long (a day or so i'm guessing) and has just had the lights on 24hrs.... what a piece of junk, i bought it only a few months ago from the local hardware store! grrrr anyway nothing to do now but leave them in at least 24hrs of darkness and hope for the best, they're only a week or 2 away from harvest.

my sympathies, a very frustrating deal, hope it has no effect
to divert your mind from this for the moment, how's the height on the mazars?
don't look excessively tall if my memory is correct

hey mate, yeah i'm going to give them a day or two in darkness while buying a new timer and hope it doesn't stuff it all up too much.

they're about 1m high or so mate, with about 1 month veg from seed then flipped to flower.

^^^ that's about what i was guessing, pretty compact strain for a landrace from Afghanistan
i know they can get monstrous in the right environment, but the manageable size has kept me interested in trying one for my next grow

Lookin' good darwin...

I got sick of breaking timers and now I use the expensive ones from the hydro store, about $50 each but they have been constantly used for over 2yrs without a hiccup.

Some good shots of the seeds in there - do you think you could get some macro shots of them as they go brown?

It's quite thrilling to watch - have to do my own seed run soon I think

yeah that's it mate, i wish they had some form of default setting where if it broke in anyway it just cut the power completely, i'd rather no light (extended dark period) than lights on 24/7 lol

but yeah lashed out and got a more exp one so hopefully it's solved the issues, they've been in darkness now for over a day so i'll put them back on 12/12 tonight when i'm home hopefully they'll be ok. it'll give me some experience i guess with how hermies appear and i'll know a bit more about the strain as a whole.

yeah i'll definitely start taking some more detailed macro shots towards the end, it's a little hard under the HPS because the light is crap, really yellow, and moving all the plants in and out and trying to find decent light for photos is a pain but i'll give it a whirl in the final week before harvest mate :D
