Sandnut..you are making a Very Good job of them my m8..
they are in Great condition...:good:

They appreciate your care and your set-up.

1 suggestion on males...not 100% Perfect..

but
oh so simple

Bring the male up to pollenation..
wait until a couple of good sized balls swell and drop..

then cut the head off.

Tansfer it to a glass of water..like you would any other cut flower
and stand in a window sill for a couple of days.

You don't need the Whole plant..:dance013:

Tip on the hermie...drop them to under 10 hours of light for 3-4 days..
then put them back on 20/4.

It will normally produce hermies.

Hope this helps.

Have a great weekend m8..:joint:

ok im sitting on some questions and also looking for advice any help would be greatly appriciated., so Im planning abit ahead now, my next grow will be in a 90x50x160cm grow tent

to give you an idea of how the tent looks like

I'll be using:

400w cooltube..yey.

site recommends (175m3/h) carbon filter and Inline air extractor - 225m3/h for this tent

Im considering going with the bigger, 365 m3/h carbon filter and 365m3/h fan..

Stealth is priority, i have a room for this but everything has to be normal outside of the room, as little noise as possible and NO odour.
Will it be overkill and too noisy with the 2nd choice or is it the safe way to go?

Also im wondering how i will plan this out, im wondering which is the best setups of these two to keep temps down, also if i need intake fans or if im fine with passive since air will be pulled out in one of these setups (obviously all intakes wont be open., theres other ways to do it i just did what i had on my mind , i really want to cut down on fan noise, and I'll add that I can have air from outside blowing in if needed, freezing air..

and my first plan was to do a seed run with loads of different strains in the tent but now im kinda likeing the thought of doing a single dwc scrog in it with a 12/12 strain obviously, and get 3small wooden cabs, 1for auto females, 1for auto males, 1 "fuck chamber" lol:),
now these will be small and id like to keep them in party cups and fill the whole female cab so id get a mix of seeds from different phenos of same strains, pollinate the whole buds, plenty of seeds there in little space.

what im wondering is: will this affect the quality of the seeds id get, or will they still be growing to full scale and yield once those seeds are in big pots?

party cup plant = seeds >(next generation) seeds in 10L pot > size?

sorry for the wall of text and again help is much appriciated

On the extraction stealth.... a fan that powerful will be reasonably noisy, but it can be toned down by a fan controller set as low as ye can go to keep a decent temp, or one that has a thermometer that can control speeds for ye. Or, you could put the fan and filter into some kind of diy silencing box outside, so that they are not in the tent but also out of view, this imho would be quieter than a controller.

If im gonna have to put it on low speed, I might just aswell buy the smaller one.. diy silencing box might be something to take a closer look at.

I will try that thing out with the males

It works..
gotta be careful that they don't beat you to the drop..
(it takes around 4 days from seeing one start to drop..to it starting to pollenate..)

But it is a lot easier than building another grow room

r1zla..love the avatar..
it is years since I saw Oor Wullie..:good:

UPDATE

I figured out how to post big pics right away to make it all easier for you guys, I cant believe no one told me how to do it untill now! anyway i hope they came out in ok size,
Its also starting to get quite shady in there, loads of leafs everywhere..im feelin really temped to try defoliation.. i saw a guy doing it just like you would cut a clone's leafs to force it to root, it seemed to work just as well and its suposed to cause alot less stress to them.. might try that out soon..

What's left of the Icu#2's, 2females and 3 what seem to be soon to be ladies, lol that doesnt sound right

Note the really thin sativa looking leafs close to the top center bud site, and the rest of the plant has indica dominated looking leafs

Ooooo....I JUST LOVE FRIDAYS.....:yay:

im feelin really temped to try defoliation..

Weelll...I'm telling you now..you will get shouted at
BUT..

I do it all the time....:hide:
(don't all shout at once...)
and the girls will put up with it.

In ideal conditions we wouldn't need to..
But some peoples Conditions mean the benefits outweigh the negatives.

I was alway taught to trim anything Overlooking/over hanging...blocking the light

Love the cabinet..the chicken wire is inspired for your grow lamp position...:good:

The start of something beautiful...

Oh I know That face...probably the most prolific I have had the pleasure to meet..
and never a disappointment.

Brilliant m8...I Love them...:good:

they were my first look at canna porn this Friday..
and I hope the rest of the day continues as well..

Have a great weekend m8.....:joint:

P.S...how did you hermie your male out..
We are looking for Tried & Tested ways to promote a hermie

thanks alot , you always manage to put a smile on my face with your posts ;)

About that unfortunately i don't have a solid way to do it cause I was surpriced myself, let me tell you it took me alot more effort than I expected, first i watered them with really cold water and switched light position every 5h.. did that for a couple of days and it didnt show any sign of it going hermi so i had to mess up the light regime for him and that took a couple of days aswell so loads of props to a real hermi resistant strain there:tiphat: it was alf #3 i think don't remember, i'll edit this if i was wrong

have some high times this weekend bro!

"Always look on the Briiiiiiiight side of Life..dee..dum..de..dummty dumty..dum :whistling:

They will be Fine m8...
they will unfurl some of the smaller leaves out to compensate..
take a photo of the same bud in 4 days and you will see what I mean...:good:

What?! I dont like hairy girls...
I had an over-stuffed one on the JEM that got so over-leafed the bud would stay "soft"
So..
I spent two days plucking her...
4 days and a good rain-fall later..
and she was twice as bloody hairy as when I started...:smoky:

ripening karma sent..

Nice looking plants man,pot size are you using ?

thx mate :yes:theyre all in different but id sayd around 2L, but theyre very tall and not so much wide so they have better effect than a normal 2L pot would (they like to grow roots vertically) some of them are in 3L pots, and you can tell they are abit bigger cause of that.

Right On Sandnut!
I was just as surprised as Mossy, after seeing your extreme deforestation!
No doubt those plants will be fine, and bounce right back, to pack on nugs...

I had always beleived in some amount of trimming, and leaf plucking since I first started growing, even with the general consensus being a "Tuck not Pluck".
There are many scenarios where the mass of a plant is all shaded out by only a percentage of itself...

So far with Autos I have been plucking fan leaves, generally the less healthy, yellowed, big ones ('cause there will be new fresh growth all along the stem)..
..but what you did was unbelievable, and something I still want to try..

Good Luck Sandnut, and with that heavy of a de-leaving you could totally fit more plants!! Awesome job rockin' the CFL bulbs!!

Thanks alot buddy :tiphat:

Its really not how bad as it looks cause they were mostly big leafes just making them look really dense but once they were removed you could really see what was going on in there...

im sure they will bounce back but im happy to hear that from someone else too:dance013:

as I mentioned earlier not many auto growers take it to that level, so let me be the proof of wether its worth it or not! have a great weekend man!
