Thanx Darwin.....No rain today mate, it was 30c+ today, I just took the pics and the end of the day and I had to brighten it up a bit.......Got some rain coming though and by the sound of things its going to be heavy:jump: Lime went in all the spots today so a good rain is perfect:dance013:.Plus I just turned the compost......Tomorrow is more mulching and watering the seedlings......Ahhh what a great time of the year:)

Yep, the rain is coming this weekend, Saturday, it's all coming from up north. 100 ml expected in these parts followed by more snow, floods, landslides, the works. Bring it on.

hehe yeah nothing like having a lot to do when in reality it's not work at all :D just fun fun and more fun! i'm hoping to go out this weekend and attend to the patches again with some more manure and i also got some dolomite and gypsum, a friend told me to use a bit of gypsum at the bottom of each hole so it dissolves away the clay at my location slowly and the roots can penetrate better. guess we'll see how it goes. also need to scout out a few more areas to get patches ready. there's a nice hilly region near by i might try setting up a few girls on a hill side facing north. and wow 30C! you lucky bastard haha it's been like 16C max here recently, last night was 8C... lol bring on spring! can hear a male frog outside calling, he's been doing it since the rains started here in july, still hasn't got any frog poontang i'm guessing, poor little guy! lol get out of my backyard and back to the wetlands you loser! :D all the best mate

Gypsum is very good for breaking up clay, it's basically the standard thing to use. Takes a while though.

Hi all.....Well its been awhile since I did a update on whats happening down here on the farm.
After staring the seeds off on the 22nd of Aug i now have them under 24hrs of light, using 2 600 watters. I only did this with all my new import strains as I wanted to make sure they didnt get attacked or chewed outside.
I averaged about a 90% strike rate, with nearly all the strains I put in of shanti's giving me a 100% strike rate:biggrin:
I had a few problems with some of the old Africans, but they are pretty much all up and going now.
The Fet303's are all powering, which is good as I am very interested on how this strain goes.
Ok here are some pics, the seedlings a re a bit strechy as I wasnt sure how close to put the lights.
I also have in here some pics of my Highland Oaxacan male crossing to some Roadrunner autos which were freebies, the RR was also crossed to a Herijuana male......should be interesting to see how this goes:biggrin:
The seedlings have just had their morning spray, so look a bit droopy.
Tomorrow they will all get a soak in Seasol, which is a Certified Organic seaweed which is made down on King Island Tasmania.
You will also see i have put old cow and horse manure that I soaked in water and added around the plants.
Out of my strains I also had a round a 90% strike rate, but they are outside so a few got munched, but not badly......of those I have, Mendo Girl, MG X MM, MG x Mex, MM X WW, Mex x WW, Space Shuttle ( NL#5 x HZ ), Cali Skunk, Oaxacan Highland and Mullum Madness......I will put the MM and Nev's haze next to each other and see what happens, bit like clash of the Titans:dance013:

mind my asking what sort of selection you do mate with respect to numbers, do you work on reducing your numbers by or to a certain %, ie from 100-10 (select only best 10%) or do you reduce to only 1-2 individuals no matter how many you started with?
