Gave her 5 gallons of water on monday. looking pretty good.

Some of the leaves are starting to turn yellow and die on the bottom of the plant. Here is a couple pictures, one with flash and one without.

Does anyone know what this is caused by? I would like to just get an answer here instead of starting a new thread in the infirmary. Everything else on the plant looks extremely healthy, its just some of the lower leaves that are starting to do that.

Dont worry about it, the plant is just pulling energy out of those shade leaves. You can get a similar looking damage if you apply too much foliar fert and it concentrates on the tips.

i havent grown it unfortunately. ive read that its nearly a pure indica, thats the reason flowering started so early. its supposed to be a very fast flowering variety like most indicas.

to me it looks like it's at about the 3 1/2 - 4 week mark and i believe it should flower for 8-10 weeks depending on how you like your stone.
if it were my plant id plan to pick it around 8 1/2- 9 weeks . but really pick it when it has 25% amber resin heads for a great flavor, a fun, silly, mildly trippy high. as thats how the god bud ive smoked was.
if you let it go longer, as you probably know, the buds tend to lose a little flavor, and get a more couch lock, lazy, dumbfounded, sleepy stone.

i dont know if any of that helps,

Thank you for the great advice. I actually planed on leaving it until it was near 50/50. I prefer the more couch lock, narcotic stone.

So it looks like this thing is almost ready. The trichomes are 25% amber. I am going to give it final phase this morning and flush it tomorrow evening then harvest on friday or saturday morning.

Oh No! dont pick it, that shit isnt close to ready yet. it should need until the middle or the end of sept especially if you want a good relaxing smoke.

the trichomes are 25% amber already? r u sure its not 25%cloudy? it doesn't even look as if 25% of the hairs have turned yet. you'd gain alot in yield and potentcy if you keep it going bro.

i hope you havent harvested yet!

Like blancorast said, its got at least another month to go. Don't harvest yet. Be patient. If you must, take a lower branch and let the rest go. Looking good, but not nearly ready yet. Probably late Sep. or early Oct. I won't be harvesting my outdoor Tora Bora til mid Oct. Good luck and good growing.

You have around a month left, not a week.

Would be a waste to chop this plant way before it reaches it potential.

The pods should swell like they bear seeds - only then trichomes color should be taken into consideration.
The pods swell a week or two after most pistils die and recede back toward the pod.

You plant will start getting an amber aura that should be pretty visible. It pretty far from there in the last picture.

Give it a month man. Are you sure Trichomes are amber? Sure you are not thinking of pistils? Had to ask. Let her go longer. Good luck, she looks really good but not ready yet.

nope, those are two different colas :D

Bro my point was: that plant is nowhere near ripe.

When your plant is ready to harvest, the pistilate hairs will be dark and retracted into the seed bract, which will be swollen and covered in lots of mature resin glands. I assure you, your plant has ZERO mature resin heads right now and you are mistaken about there being 25% amber trichs.

Also, the bloom boosters you gave it were totally unnecessary becuase your container is way too big for that plant and already had plenty of nutrient in it. That's what caused the burnt tips and pale(ish) leaves. If you harvest in a week you will have a bunch of super harsh weak-ass smoke.

You and your buddy need to give that plant nothing but fresh water for the rest of its life and let it go at least another month...

You can act like you know what you are doing(when you obviously dont) and harvest shit, or you can exercise some humility, take our advice, and harvest dank.

Edit: Should have read the two responses above before replying: they said everything that I did, but in a much nicer way...

IT's nowhere near ready man. At least a month to go. You'll harvest nothing but regret and disappointment if you do it in less than a month.
