Here's a quick update pic of my seedlings. Some of the bigger ones were started a week earlier and are not for this challenge. They will be planted in the ground. I will try to keep 2 fems for this part cup competition. I dont know how long they will last will this heat. Hopefully we will start getting a little bit of cooler weather soon...

Looking good HH, i my self will be picking 2 out of my six as runners for the comp. After sexing them the rest will go to 6in pots as like my last grow. I really hope that the two sativa looking strains are female id like to have one run in a cup and one is a 6in pot

I got one of the black AF line germed..and the Purple AK...

anonomix..I Love the Tag design. :dance013:

Puuuumped to see one from the black line!!!! and I snuck a couple purple AKs in as well. Interested in seeing our PAK cup grows, tho I know you'll be making me look like a fool!
:pointlaug

Thanks for the feedback on my design! :D

As for my cups...

After 4 Punk Chunk cracked and showed a taproot, I put them in cups and in the window seal... I was a noob and negleted them while company was in from out of town...
Now they have streeeetched severely. about 3 inches of slim stem holding up its little leaves. I've since moved them DIRECTLY under some flouros. Pics soon, when/if they even out.

I also poped a couple of Purpel AK. Not much action yet, but I snapped a quick shot while I had the cam out..

PAK..

Well here they are, green and going. Looks like one's a little slow but i think itll pull through as its showing growth Daily.

Currently i have them on pedestal to be closer to the light, these are cups that have the bottoms cut out of them to allow better balance. The runt in the middle has some mesh out but as you can see all rim of cup is there so no extra soil just a mishap in transplanting. Temps are 76-77 rh about 50%

So far all the runners are looking good.

Good luck to you all :dance013:

Speed and safety with them.:tiphat:

Yeah yeah..Tail End Charlie as ususal...:noway:
BUT..I kept the photos...

See the packets 1-8 hanging on the drying line...
That was the ones I was trying to swing.
1 each off All the ones I had just harvested.
I knew I was pushing it with just 4-5 days drying time..
but our temps were up in the Dry 50 O'c..
so I was winging it......:smoky:

Anyway..2 did the job..

This is my cups..jacked up with hydro-balls in the bottom to try to keep their roots from Boiling...Literally..:toohot:
(I can't walk across the patio in bare feet ATM..and my girls bums are sitting on it.)

So..I threw some of the ALF#3 that have been germed into the no-show pots.
I've had two show up in the last 2 days..and there is another just showing through the soil today.

If you look at the top pot on the right..that is the new one cooming through..so fresh she still has her calyx.

AND..if you look in the bottom pot on the right...
2 of the Buggers..:noway:

Obviously 1 of the no-shows decided to gern AFTER I had put the ALF#3 in..

What a Donkey..

Looks good Mossy! do you plan on covering the cups or leaving them clear?

But hey..never refuse a Gift from Mother Nature..

I agree with you on this one. I never argue with or turn down a gift from her, i have learned this several time with my ladies. Besides for all you know that could be your monster yielder:dance013:

One thing you could do that i do mossy, is flush it out. If i buy any kind of compo from the store (if i dont already have some) i usually flush it out really well. This does two things lowers the levels of any kind of additive in there as well as gets the soil pH balanced for the grow. I usually flush for three days with proper pH'ed rain water and then let it dry out then use.

One more thing i do have to ask. Is there any way that i could get some full body shots of bud wider and bad betty. I wanna take a look at branching as i have something up my sleve :chin:

Looking fantastic Smokey! good color and your growth rate is fantastic. How often are they making you water them at this point?

they haven't needed to be watered once yet. probably within the next 3 days though. i go by the weight of the cups. once it starts feelings very light. it's time to water. these seedlings need oxygen and they won't get it if the soil is always soaking wet.

edit: just checked on them today. the 6 bigger ones did need to be watered. the rest will need to be within a day or two. i didnt feed them any strong nutrients. just a tablespoon of liquid karma, a teaspoon of cal-mag, and 14 drops of superthrive.

End of my week one!

End of my week one!

They seem to be doing well. The air cup design that i used to modify the cups seems to be working, only thing is i have become a slave to watering. They need water every 1.5-2 days i do this by weight on a digital scale. I have a control cup that i base the weight on.

I have what looks like two different leaf phenos on the Bad betty's and on the Bud Wider there is pretty much uniform except one that looks more sativa dom.

Lookin good guys!

Mine have been taking time, just now starting on second set of leafe. Theyve been hangin out with the flowering plants which are at 14 hours light.
As of today ive put them in another room with longer light cycle. Not sure how soon the light change can effect herming, but im hoping its stil to early fo all that. Opinions?

ive heard autos doing well in 12/12 since seed, but maybe not as much with 16 oz cups

The five punk chunk i have are very stretched, and the two ak (never in the widow seal) have no stretch. but they both are taking time to grow any more.

Hope the extra hours of light help. pics when they explode into beautiful green beasts :D
