King James' stat line of 27 Pts, 19 Reb, 10 Ast, 3 Stl, 1 Blk is nothing to scoff at, and those 9 TO's were from relentless defensive pressure as much as anything.
The piecemeal approach of propping him up w/ has-beens & wanna-be's is over, he needs some real talent to work off.
Can't believe ownership is endorsing Brown, his should be the 1st head to roll...:bump: "Good night , Cleveland!"

As happy as I am that the C's took out the Cavs I gotta say I was pretty shocked to see it happen, and in 6 games too. I know the C's started to fall apart towards the end of game one against Orlando but I'm starting to think that they might actually have a real chance of making it to the finals. As long as they can stop Orlando from sinking the 3 ball consistently, I think they have all the tools to take care of Dwight and move on.

As for LeBron, I'm thinking that he's gonna stay. I think people are making too much out of the prospect of him going to New York. If he does go anywhere I think it'll be Chicago.

It certainly is! Don't quite fit no mo'.

So my allegiances are obvious, but seeing kobe in black mambo mode those last 2 minutes of the last Phoenix game was a thing of scary beauty. Got to think he's psyching up thinking of that last game in '08.
Can't wait for this!

yeah I got some Lakers shirts from the 80's but they say things like championship and repeat and dynasty n'such.

I kid. I kid. :cathug:

This is what its all about right here... for me

Pretty bummed about the C's losing. All in all I didn't find it to be a great series. I was jacked up for it as I always will be for a Celtics - Lakers finals but by the end was feeling pretty disappointed. Both teams were sloppy throughout and never really put on impressive showings at all except for in small bursts and a few nice individual performances. There were some memorable moments but as a whole the series was a letdown for me. The low shot percentages were not just due to great defence.

And I'm never one to complain about it (even though it's been an obvious issue for awhile now) but the officiating in the sport needs to be improved big time. Game 7 was sickening, if I didn't love the sport so much and was just a casual fan I'd probably never want to watch again. It shouldn't matter what team you're cheering for - the officiating in the third and first half of the fourth was horrid. Both teams were playing sloppy and aggressively and using contact - neither one much more than the other - yet the Celtics got called for 3 times as many infractions.

The Lakers won by 4 points but the amount of bullshit calls that led to free throws for the Lakers and / or turnovers for Boston gave them alot more than 4 points and took away possessions and opportunities for Boston. Outside of the Celtics, Kobe is probably my favourite player to watch and I'm a big fan. Next to Celt's games, I watch more Lakers games than any other franchise so I'm not just hating on them. Joey Crawford and half the other clowns blowing whistles just shouldn't even have those jobs.

On a happier side - I'm pumped for next season! (even though I can't help but think that that was the most likely the last run for Boston for a little while). The draft is right soon and everybody is looking forward to free agency. Dalembert to the Kings for Spencer Hawes and Andres Nocioni. I know there's a couple 76er's fans here.

The tallest player in NBA history dies at age 47. Manute is also the only player in NBA history to have more career blocks shots than career points. Manute was a great humanitarian, and an advocate for Sudan. You will be missed.

Anyone know when next season's schedule will be completed and posted? I'm getting anxious already for next season to begin. I got my money down for League Pass and am just waiting to find out who's playing opening night.

So much has happened over the last few weeks - next season should be interesting to say the least. Hopefully Jermaine O'Neal can stay in good health and be a contributor to the C's this year. It's really too bad that they lost Tony Allen though - him bolting to Memphis was a pretty big surprise to me. And who knows what's going on with 'Sheed.

Yeah, that sucks T.A. bolted. He infuriated me more times than not, but he really finally seemed to get it, then :Bolt:

Did you watch "the Decision"? I couldn't help myself. His callousness really dropped him in my eyes, but, yeah, you do want the season to start tomorrow!

Never been a Jermaine fan, but was a good move.
I think 'Sheed's gonna wait til they trade his contract before he retires, just helping them out.

Im fascinated with the situation in Miami.
What are the odds that Lebron, and not Wade, leads that team in scoring? 50%?
I say Wade averages a 26-6-5 (P-R-A) and Lebron averages a 24-9-9 (narrowly missing a triple double). You heard it here first, folks...

Lebron scores 31 in season opener against Boston as the Heat lose 80-88.

Lebron does 31-4-3
Wade does 13-4-9
Bosh does 8-8-2

Wish I could have seen the game.

The Heat were clearly out of sync and lack of chemistry between the teams big three led to the loss. LeBron did lead a charge there where he scored 15 points, but the attempt fell short in the end and the Celtics won. The Celtics looked comfortable playing together unlike the Heat. I suspect this will last a few more games for the Heat before they get their act together.

as for me and my team , GO BULLS!

Boston's 18 turnovers kept Miami within striking distance throughout.
Come the new year, both team's should be humming...

Really look forward to seeing Chicago w/ Thibodeau @ the helm. Too bad Boozer
screwed up. Particularly looking forward to the Rondo/Rose match-up after this summer. ;)

I don't know what I'd do without League Pass fellas. Getting to watch basically any game is what life is all about!

Go Celts.

I predict Lakers vs Celtics this year in the finals. Lakers come back with a deeper bench, Celtics meshing perfectly and also acquired some back up size in Shaq and Jermaine.
