MJ has a different effects on everyone, it cant always be a good thing,

I always find myself more creative, and get things done when high vs when im not. Now I have a buddy who is not lazy and he been smoking for years and years, i have to make sure he does smoke before he get to work or do any projects, because some thing that take me an hour to do will take him a week LOL

cant speak for everyone but i know a few people in high up position that smoke everyday!! Yet they still get everything done, and make good pay, You will NEVER be able to tell they smokes MJ :)

MJ does not make you lazy, If you are already a lazy person, MJ is just going to bring it out. If you're not, you have nothing to worry about!

cheers,
red.

cannabis may loosen the mucus in your lungs, but the heat from the smoke damages the cilia, the small hairs in your lungs that helps remove deposits.i'll agree that if you smoke anything,mj will do the least amount of damage.but if it is heated to the point of combustion, its hot enough to singe those all important hairs.causing damage.whether minor or major, its damage none the less.

no just damage from smoking.i have not been diagnosed with any lung conditions but have been tested for them.
the damage is reversable but only if you stop smoking.
i'm speaking from personal experience.
if your in good health ,then great.but that does not mean it wont damage everyone

Let me ask you, Mezz...is there any chance people can simply discuss this and provide their 2 pfennigs without your input? I mean I am sure everyone enjoys your command of the thread and all...but geez, this aint all about you and your opinions is it? Or did I misread the OP?

Well, pardon me.

I added it up in another thread. I take like 12,000-14,000+ bong rips a year and have generally been doing this for over a decade. I'm not giving my age away. I smoking all day every day and still work 16 hours a day sometimes, and I work at all the time.

I haven't noticed any differences in my body. Stop reading the propaganda kid.

When I smoke (I like using a pipe, even though it's bad for me), I cough. When I vape only, no cough. Other than that, no physical problems. I've been using cannabis for over 40 years.

As for "amotivational syndrome"- just take a look at my list (see my sig for the link to it). I work in education and do a lot of genealogy. I also write news articles for a small paper, occasionally. Here's a link to the latest one-

http://www.salem-news.com/articles/june272010/marijuana-infants-sc.php?message=1#comments

On the plus side, although I'm not quite bipolar (Mom was), I'm "moody. Cannabis keeps me on a more even keel. As an educator, I am known for my remarkable patience with difficult children. I believe that is due to my over 40 years of using cannabis. Cannabis has helped shape my personality.

I am more creative- I quilt, write, paint and just made a new light fixture for my grow. And I am one heck of a researcher for medical cannabis- My new Granny's list is coming out this August and it is 420 pages of links to MMJ studies and articles. (I hope IC's server can handle it.)

So the upshot, is that aside from the cough I get when I stupidly smoke- I don't feel that cannabis has had a negative effect on my health. My only medication (at just 12 days shy of 63) is thyroid- and my dad also developed thyroid problems in his later years, so I doubt if the cannabis had anything to do with that. For me, using cannabis has been a very positive experience.

daily smoker for ten years...negative effects i feel now are my relative lack of cardio...i can run almost two miles but i need 3-4 breaks in between. i have asthma everyday but when i quit smoking weed it goes away. i guess you need to use a vape to offset that.

while i am more motivated than many of my friends who smoke, i do notice that smoking weed gets me kind of paranoid sometimes. i do not like going into walmart to go shopping after a few bowls of kush, i dont like interacting with lots of sober people. when im high i like to be alone or only with close trusted friends. i like to do creative stuff like video games, build things, work on the grow, or do art.

i also think it makes me mildly bipolar. when im sober its like i am on crack, i cant sit still, i get a weird feeling in my chest, im anxious, i always feel really rushed and get annoyed by the smallest thing.

when i smoke everything slows down a bit, and my mind starts to over analyze shit and i start plotting and scheming on life. but mentally i feel like a totally different person when im sober vs high.

i dont notice any serious negative effects. but in certain friends of mine who smoke daily, i definately see anti-social and unmotivating behavior.

when i first started smoking alot of weed every day all day i kept up with my sprinting and weight lifting and my performance increased mostly from the extra calories i was getting . cant speak for cardio too much. i definitely notice i get winded fast but the thing is i always was like that when i dont specifically train cardio. i like to selectively believe what i hear so i say smoking marijuana doesnt cause cancer so ill keep smoking it. hacking up a lung at the start of a 2 mile run is worth the price

Been smoking the ganja since I was 8 and nearly all day every day for over 12 years. Love it, the only negative effects are slight short term memory problems. I have fucked out neurotransmitters, mainly endorphins and norepinephrine, cannabis helps me to maintain an average -good daily outlook and avoid mood swings n shit. I can be out in the bush all day planting up and down mountain sides and I wouldn't be doing that if I didn't have weed. Ever since I stopped smoking cigs I dont ever really feel like my lungs are heavy either.
I will smoke till the day I die, quality of life is the key for me.

Smoking depletes zinc(maybe not weed tho? the cadmium in cigs competes with zinc) and vitamin C, increase your consumption of fruits, nuts and organic meats to combat the damage done by smoking. Antioxidants from fresh produce will also help with free radicals caused by smoking.

thc is proven to help prevent free radicals. it is a neutral herb, nature made it for our daily therapeutic medicine.

I have been smoking 2 or three times daily for the past 7 years at least and the only thing I notice is some short term memory loss, but only when I'm really high. And also I dont get nervous as much. Smoking weed is also the only thing that keeps me from bouncing off the walls. I have a lot of natural energy when i dont smoke in the morning. I cant sit still. I have to hike like 10 miles to use it up, but there is no where to go hiking hear and i hate city jogging, so I toke it up and relax. It is genetic. My mom runs 10 miles a day still and she is almost 50. I wish I could get her to toke with me.

This is true but the act of smoking(combustion) creates free radicals which aren't prevented by THC, every time you inhale smoke your body uses an extra 25mg of vitamin C or something like that.

Looks like increasing vitamin A consumption helps with smoking related damage as well.

Presumably the article refers to tobacco smoking. It's not like whatshisname said where there is no difference between smoking the finest herb or animal feces. Tobacco data shouldn't be assumed to hold true for Cannabis.

look pal,the damage to the hairs on my lungs came from pure weed joints, not tobacco!it was the act of smoking the weed that gave me problems
thats all very well you believe that, but the guy was asking for ppls personal experiences.
its a bit reckless of you to keep shooting down any post that claims there is damage from smoking cannabis.and note i said smoking cannabis, not just having it in your system
