Round 2 White Widow...Blue Widow

Okay well here I go again. 1st grow didn't end all that great so I am hoping that this one turns out much better.

Soil - FFOF
Lights - 2 54w High Output T5's, 400w HPS
Nutrients - General Organics Bio Thrive Grow, Bio Thrive Bloom, Bio Bud, CaMg+, Blackstrap Molasses

7/4 - Germinated 2 Nirvana White Widow and 1 Dinafem Blue Widow.
7/5 - All 3 seeds cracked and showing tap root.
7/6 - Planted in 2 4" containers and a solo cup using 100% FFOF
7/7 - 7/8 - All 3 seedlings popped
7/15 - Changed from 24/0 to 18/6

1st grow I went 24/0 through veg. When I went 12/12 I got a lot of stretch and it thinned out. It went from 12" to 37". This grow I am trying to get a little bit more stretch in veg so maybe it won't stretch as much under the HPS on a 12/12 cycle. Plus I hear a 18/6 cycle will let the plant flower sooner when switching to 12/12. I shall see.

Also last grow I used a 150w HPS up till around week 6 of flower before switching to a 400w HPS. Obviously this time I will have the 400 from the get go. I also vegged for about 3 weeks under my fluro and about another 2 weeks under the 150 my last grow. This time I plan on keeping it under my fluro entirely for veg.

I will be transplanting into 5 gal pots using FFOF/Sunshine LC8.

Here are some up to date pics. The Blue Widow is the first pic with the 2 White Widow's following.

Thanks for stopping in guys. Glad you can see the pics. Not sure why no one can see them posted the other ways but whatever.

Nothing much has changed. They are looking good and seemingly doing fine. Went to the local hydro store today to get some new pots and a pair of pruners. Hopefully the pots are big enough. They are a little smaller than my 5 gal pots but they should be good enough for a 3 or 4 ft tall plant.

Also just ordered 2 Barneys Farm Pineapple Chunk and 1 DNA Lemon Skunk. Also DNA Rocklock as a freebie. Had one hell of a time trying to make up my mind what to get. I'll be dying to get them started but I will have to wait till this current grow finishes. Hopefully, they will make it to me.

Hope everyone is doing good. Peace.

Well I have had an issue with the lower leaves yellowing. At first I thought it might be a PH issue. Then it dawned on me that maybe they are getting root bound. They have been in their current pots for 3 weeks. So I transplanted today and yeah, I am pretty sure that's what the yellowing is from. All three had more significant root growth than I had expected. I hope the stress don't cause them to hermi on me.

I also fed with some CaMg+, 10ml of grow, and 1 tbsp of molasses. They are still looking pretty good despite the yellowing leaves. Man that makes me so mad that I let them go too long before transplanting.

I'm germinating a Barneys Farm Pineapple Chunk and hopefully it will sprout a tap root. I have had it germinating since late Monday night. So it's been 2 days. The others I have germinated cracked open within 24 hrs. Not sure how I am going to work this out. The others have a 3 week head start at least. I will probably have to veg this one in a different room as the others will be going 12/12 before this one is ready to join them. I just didn't want to wait next grow for this so I decided to germ one.

Well that's it for now. Below are some recent pics.

Well a little update.... Plants are looking pretty good since I transplanted them. I could still kick myself for letting them get root bound. They have been vegging for 4 weeks as of today. So, I decided to go 12/12, also today. I prefer to wait till they are about 12" tall before going 12/12. But this time I decided to flip the switch a little early. I basically want to see how well they do and how much they yield.

Here are the most recent pix.

Thanks bro. Yeah they are going to stretch some now. Just hopefully not too bad. My last grow, it was nice and bushy on the bottom, but midway up it really stretched and thinned out. This time I vegged them a little different. I kept my T5 a little farther away so they wouldn't be quite as bushy as my last one. And also so they would stretch just a little more, which they did. So hopefully this time when they stretch it will be a little more uniformed.

Thanks for stopping in man. Peace.

Well I had an eventful morning today. The electricity went out around 7am and I have my light set to come on at 8:30am. So at 8:30 I took them out of my closet and put them in front of a window. I wanted to stay on track and not keep them in the dark. Electricity finally came back on around noon. I think they will be alright since I was able to put them in the daylight. I don't need anymore surprises like that.
