Here are the California Orange Ladies.
1st week of flower, no signs of budding yet. No real smells either.
We clearly have 2 different pheno's. One stretched more than the other.
And it seems to have a different leaf texture to the shorter pheno.
The colour is slightly different between the both of them aswell. It is quite noticable in the pics below.
Tell me what you all think?

Nice pic update Mel, looks like you and Shaun are doing a bang up job on this one. Yea I have had a couple of harvests now using the FN Bloom. My harvested C99 cross has that citrus aroma and taste. The C99 is supposed to have that pineapple aroma so I am thinking that is what it is suppossed to be. I have some Wonder Diesels coming up next so we shall see what the aroma/taste is on those, using Fox Farm they had a distinct lemon cleaner taste. I was kind of thinking of trying that FN Florakleen that you use for for final flush to get rid of all the excess salts. Anyone ever use it before?

OREGON GUY~We've been thinking about getting some Clearex solution (sp?) to help flush out the salts with once a week. Haven't tried the FN florakleen though. Interesting about the taste with the FN bloom, maybe it's just me. It might help if I knew what particular taste I was looking for. After all, we only have used the Fn for a bottom of the bag seeds we had accumalated over a few years. So we didn't have or know to look out for a certain taste or particular strain. We just noticed they all had the same fruity smell/taste. But they all looked completely different. Let me know how you go....

Hey gdawg, yes, we were happy with the nulife nutes. But after all our bitching with FN nutes, we are contemplating going back to that. We have been talking to a few ic'magers who use FN and came to the conclusion that it must of been something else as no one has had the same experience as we did with the taste tainting the strains.
Not only that, but with the nulife nutes we were using 150mls every water to get a 2.0 ec(approx 50 litres water.) With the FN nutes we were only using 70mls to reach the same ec.
Also when we first used FN nutes, we had to pull a week early due to a rental inspection, so they didn't get a full proper flush which was probably why we could taste it. I didn't think of this at the time though and neither did Shaun. D'oh...

Maxima- hey m8, thanks for stopping by. Now lets those beanie babies out of suspended animation and sprouting, LoL...No, serious.
Are you going to start a thread when you pop them? If so, please send me a link to your thread. I haven't come across any one else who is growing them- YET. Also, when you start these ladies(hopefully 100% germ) make sure you have some real top notch odour control. Even in VEG they stink. And the day we flipped them, they stunk the whole house out(and it's only winter-summer would be worst) We have everything in there from incense to a big air dihumidifyer. Aswell as a carbon filter.IT"S NOT ENOUGH.... We are going to be making another one soon ouselves this time with aircon filters once the weather starts to warm up a bit-thats when they will be at their stinkiest.

hey mellomel just popped callaways over the weekend. I am not quite sure the ratio of germination but i think 10 out of ten. I will definately know tommorrow as I will open the dome to see. Hope alls well. Happy Trails!
Oh, forgot to mention, I probably will not do a thread on them, but if its fine by you, I will post some shots here if you dont mind me sharing the experience with ya.

Hey Maxima, sorry it took me a bit to get back to ya. Been flat out this week. I don't mind at all ifd you post up some pics and comments. The more the merrier. Just please don't hi-jack my thread, lol. How are they going so far?

Everyone else- I am PO. Our camera stuffed up a few days ago. I am so disappointed. But the good news is I have gotten staright onto it and shall have a brand spankin' new one by Mon-Tue next week. And a better one, so it's a blessing in disguise really...

The Ladies are all budding along nicely. The Callaway Blue's are abit behind compared to the Calif Oj, And I think (correct me if wrong) the Callaways are suppose to be a shorter flowering period- not by much though. Will keep you all updated and promise to upload a whole heap of pics within the week.

Like Bad BO, but strangley sweet at the same time,lol...

The Calif Oj's, we have one that I can't quite put my finger on. But the other smells like orange rind.

Hey mello mel sorry to here about your camera. I know how that feels I just had to get a new one myself. Went ice fishing last year and it was never the same. Any whoooooo, hope the girls are doing fine and cant wait to get a climpse of there progress . As far as my callaways germination ratio 9 out of 10. One question, you wouldn't happen to know the lineage of this strain would you? cause I have searched and cant find a thing.

Mel, when my Cali O is budding sometimes it smells like cantaloupe in an orange tree, sorta a cantaloupe that has been ripe for about 10 days too long.

But when it starts curing, it's all orange.

It's a funky smell, the good pheno... you will luv it!

Yeah Lola, thats it... I was going to say it kinda smelt like over riped oranges, but there was another sweetness to it that wasn't orange. I agree with the canteloupes, we call them rockmelons here, lol. Silly name huh...
