ballast went out today im scrambling trying to find temp lighting. any suggestions on a new ballast? im looking for a ballast that will last. mag or digi i dont care, 600w or 1000w. lemme know how your ballast has worked out for you!

Mags are reliable man, you can get new ones for cheap or used ones for even cheaper. Check the capacitors on used ones, especially if it looks like it's been used for a while.

thanks bro! i got my 600w up and running again, just had a few bad bulbs. the company i got the bulbs from is sending 2 new ones free of charge i have learned that i need to veg them a bit longer. i have also put a 400w hps in the veg area (waitin to get some spare cash to get a conversion bulb) plants are growing waay faster.

yes it is VERY frustrating. i got lucky and had my old 400w that i was able to use as a backup.

I've done this 2 weeks in a row with 3 little shiva cuttings that a buddy gave me. The first time all three came back but the second time 2 of them shriveled up really bad. The roots kept growing for a few days but didn't have enough energy to push out any new green. You are not alone!
