'Goldfinger' - Malawi Gold X Flo

It's definitely one of my favourites - hardly any leaf at harvest, just about finishes outdoors here (11-12 weeks indoors), and has a beautiful scent that's floral, earthy and exotic-herby all at once. It's basically a very sativa-structured Flo, but with none of the leaf you'd normally get. It's lovely.

It'll bush out once it gets going, especially outdoors, and won't start flowering probably till the beginning of September, so there's plenty of pinching-out potential. As for crossing it, I've no idea - maybe a not-too stoney indica to bulk it up and bring the flower-time down more, but I'd hate to spoil that high! Pics when you can...;)

Thanks. I'm doing my best, but with the space I have, and the constraints on my time, its difficult to do much more right now. I have to earn a living outside this small world, or no-one will ever get anything...;)

Yeah man I know you don`t have breeding facilities and shit.

Maybe you should somehow share your beautiful keepers with breeders like Tom Hill or dubi.
They really can continue you work further along :tiphat:

Awesome! And nice large pots too - should produce great. This pheno grew outdoors in very nasty conditions, and just about flowered OK, but was harvested two weeks early - I think under glass, it should be a monster...;)

Very interesting sounding cross Elevator Man. I'm paying attention. Sounds like a very nice combination of qualities. Especially the hightype. :) Good work.

A little update..

A little update..

Hi Guys and Gals...

A little update on the two Goldfingers.

They have both just been repotted into their final homes...the oldest one (gifted clone) is in a very large pot, perspective in the photo below doesn't do it justice...I have released it from its LSt shackles just to see what happens...so far the old Flo trick of 'Reach For The Skies' seems most dominant!!! LOL :tiphat:

The second and third images are the other clone (cloned by me...very proud 'bout that) and I have been giving it some serious lessons in bondage..! It too has just been repotted and I have only left one shoot standing tall...if we ignore that one, this 5 week old clone is about 3 inches tall!!!!!

I am a new fan of LST.

They've been liberally doused in Neem repel as they were beginning to suffer being next to the bug magnets that are: tomatoes, aubergines, chillis and cucumber plants.

Anyway...enough babble...here they are:

Beautiful. I haven't seen this pheno grown properly outdoors, so can't wait to see how this develops. I have my (ahem) last one at about seven weeks now. I didn't manage to get clones of it for one reason and another, so looks like you may have the only ones. Maybe take some backups before they start flowering...? ;)

I've taken 3 clones...hopefully they'll root!

If only I could get some pollen to sprinkle on them and get the seeds out to the server fund...

Yep...well they're gonna have to be harvested no later than 20th November regardless! That would put them at about 11-12 weeks of flowering. From 28th November me and the missus are away for 2 months!!!!

So it'll all have to be jarred up by then and left with a friend to burp them!

Phewwwwww!

A month has passed..

A month has passed..

OK.

Back from a month away. Plants cared for by a friend and fed every watering with BioBizz Grow and Flower (N given in flower with these nutes). They're now massive!

Been flowering for 4 weeks approx. Quite substantial yellowing occuring on the G#1...my hunch is that it's very finicky with regards to root space...I ain't gonna get too worried though...I just see it as the plant taking what it needs from the leaves...

I will up the nutes next watering though.

trichomes are just starting to show themselves and the stems when rubbed are so delicious!!! Berry x Berry divided by funk times by incense with a bit more blackberry on top to cap it off! :)

I'd say Goldfinger #1 is at least 7foot tall now...i sure hope she's stopped stretching...this is the stretchiest plant I've grown to date.

OK..enough babble...

Beautiful - just as I hoped they'd look. Actually, that yellowing isn't too bad, and given it's half-Flo, there's bound to be some leaf-drop. It does seem a little earlier than under lights though, but then outdoors is a little different! Good work.
