Damn look @ those prices for the amount of seeds given. That would be so good right now, especially with the description of some of those strains, I wish some of those Sativa dom. hybrids were still available today :joint:

Compare the Mexican sativa from 1991 with the one from today.

Mexico has a long and important cannabis tradition. The country that coined the term ‘marijuana’ is home to some wonderful varieties of cannabis which are rarely seen outside her borders.

The main ancestor and parent of the Mexican Sativa seed-strain is a prized cultivar from the southern province of Oaxaca. To adapt this exotic Sativa for flowering in the northern summer, it was infused with genes from Durban - the famously hardy African Sativa - as well as from a fast-flowering Pakistani hash plant. The best seed offspring were then back-crossed to the Oaxacan line to maintain the distinctive qualities of the original strain. Mexican Sativa fuses the subtle flavours of three continents within her long, delicate buds. Notes of sandalwood and aniseed are wrapped up in the sharp, fresh, resin-tinged scent of the Oaxacan original.

Mexican Sativa seeds are ideal for any garden grower who wants an easily cultivated strain, aesthetically beautiful plants and a clear, uplifting Sativa high. If you think that lower priced seeds must always be of low quality, these Ladies of the Sierra Madre will surprise you!

See the difference. The Mexican from 1991 was pure Oaxacan!!!!!

What a great thread, I'd love to be able to shop from some of these old catalogs too. I loved the old school sativas of my youth. Has anyone worked to keep some of these old strains going and available?

Beautiful thread, makes me feel like such a n00b! Truly this tradition is longer and greater than the war on drugs, they can't stop us.

top shelf thread!!!

I remember a LOT of the weed I came across as a new consumer in 89,90,91 ; much of it was creeper this or creeper that. My friends and I thought they were talking about "the buzz creeps up on you". Turns out that was part of the strain...... or purportedly at least.

We got some pretty dank weed back then as junior smokers, it's clear that some of it came straight from these genetic lines! So cool!

funny you say that, im still running the skunk#1xcreeper. it was 1980s seedbank, i got the clone in 1992. shes potent and a yielder. very important qualities back then (above taste)

neville owned the seed bank, dronkers owned sensi seed club, when the two combined under dronkers it became sensi seed bank.

neville had his hands on quite a variety of genes !!

whodair- will it creep?

the buzz is very creeper, it starts very mellow and pleasant, and then turns sky high and euphoric, very energetic.!!

creeper plants were some type of landrace genetic that grew like groundcover. the growth pattern is very low and bushy, forming many top colas...low odor, and buds as hard as stone...
