SR71 Strainguide and Clones

srk i wanted to do some of that afgoo under a light.
How did it grow/yield? Did you LST or top or anything or just let it go natural?

Just wondering if the plant yield was bad or the smell/ flavor/ potency?

i have a couple of Afgoo going right now along with cotton candy , sweetooth, and PK.
a few weeks from harvest and the Mendo buds look nice and frosty. They also have the biggest buds outta the whole bunch. Looks to be a good yield. Not sure how to describe the smell but def not sweet smellin like da others.Has a good smell though but not real overpowering. Buds prob not as dense as PK but almost twice the girth.Hope she finishes good. So far i am pleased with her but the real test will be later.Sweetooth also looks,smells good,hard dense tops.Cottoncandy has good smell but has the smallest bud structure of them all.Prob will not keep this one. Pk always solid. I trimed all vegitation off the bottom 3rd of the plants about 1-1/2 weeks into flowering and also topped during veg. except PK .

Reeferdan- the goo just doesn't have the smell, look or taste that I go for. Yeild was better then sour grapes but not as good as blue dream, hindu skunk or any other decent yielder. Its a preference thing the goo isn't my cup of tea.

No topping. Ebb and flow table. With a trellis.

PS I'm pretty stoked on the XJ13. But I'm still searching for a high yielding elite. Testing blue cheese, sweet tooth, and xj.

I'm curious whats been floating around blue sky lately. As I'm going to be going there soon. Last new things I heard about were sour d and purple dog.

the sour d has been around for a while now, you must be hearing about the new stuff the star dawg crosses, I believe there is a purple dawg & a sour dawg, both strains + beans done inhouse, I know very little about them, as we have been kind of busy and I have not had time to go and chat and find out all the info, let me know when you're stopping through and I'll make sure and have info by then.

Karmical have you smoked any of that OG clone.

yes I have and what I sampled was all organic and quite frankly bomb ass shit, I still have a little left that I was holding on to, think I'll fire the rest of it up today...

Thanks for the Afgoo info. I've been running the Sour Grapes awhile now. Gotta keep a lid on the pm but it's pretty solid smoke.Mine seems done at 60 days.

Is the Hawaiian Haze I saw on the shelves a few months back still being carried? I should've picked it up at the time, but since I was already taking home a 6 pack of Skunk Haze it seemed like too much sativa to have on hand (but really-- is there any such thing?!?).

The Skunk Haze is amazing smoke-- it's too lambsbread-y to ever be much of a cropper, and goes straight to herm-ville after about day 60, but it is OH SO WORTH IT.

no one ever claimed sour grapes/grapestomper as being done inhouse, in reading my post again, which was done running out the door late to an appointment, I simply ran a few lines together.

I took a trip out to Oakland over the weekend just to see what was going on downtown, I happened to stop by Bluesky's cutting store aka (Top Quality Hair Designs). I've been going to Bluesky/SR71 for a few years now and have had somewhat of a mix bag of experiences. Some good, some not so much. After hearing about the cutting store my imagination ran a muck with idea's of a huge nursery type deal with plants everywhere.

I was thoroughly disappointed. 1) There were guys who had spent the night there just to be first in line, I showed up at 6am and wasn't even with the first 10. 2) They didn't have ANYTHING. 3) The entire proccess is just stupid, you have sit in a little room and wait for your turn, it reminded me of the DMV.

PS. All the folks trying to get moms were limited to 5 each.

I shouldn't have expected much.

My friends from SLO will wake up at 3 am and drive straight to oakland just to be close to the head of line.

They said the mom's always look like shit, as in your not gonna get any cuts from them for a while.

I thought FORTY GRIT was the one who made Dawgs Waltz and h&L just grew it out. I might be wrong but thats what I remember. FORTY if your still out there hit me up.

Ive had only good experiences with Bluesky and their clones. Almost everytime i have been they through in extra clones. Their strains are always really good genetics and i have not had a problem with any i have grown out. Although i have not bought clones form them in about a year now so they cold have gone a little down hill. If so i would be extremely disappointed.

Too many good genetics out there to take a trip to oakland and stand in line at 6 in the mornin. I go to purple heart in the middle of the day and get better cuts if i make the trip.

I wonder really why people that don't use blue sky keep coming within this thread and chime in with negative bs.

Do whatever works for you, if buying cuts off craigslist works for you, then do so, if purple heart works for you, then continue to use them.

I could go in every thread about clones out of california and shit all over them with first hand stories of patients using their stuff and it not working out for them, but I don't.

But let someone hear of something and they rush in here and try their best to spread their negative bs... its cool if thats what they are about.

I say to everyone try it all and see what works best for your situation.
