AN Claims to increase potency 30% ?

Clackamas Coot, even though I agree with your sentiments for the most part, you must also agree that it's foolish to think that no improvement can be made to age-old techniques, materials, and results. Although I'm personally doubtful that it's much more than snake oil, I can't instantly discount it without either having at least tried it or knowing more about it.

Even a broken clock is right twice a day. Maybe this is one such instance (but probably not).

Of course I agree that it's foolish to think that no improvement can be made, I stand by my statement that simply reading a label can be helpful in determining how one spends their monies on a garden.

Claims about 30% increases in any facet of growing a plant is met with a fair amount of skepticism by anyone who has grown anything for any length of time.

Kinda like getting a spam email about buying a product to increase one's penis size. Nice goal I suppose but these products probably don't really do much in the long run - no pun intended or implied.

And soluble potash is soluble potash. Silica is silica. Seaweed extract is seaweed extract. Some things are exact and precise regardless of the amount of hubris and promotion used to prove otherwise. Anyone who has spent even a couple of days at the annual IGE Show in Las Vegas can testify to that deal.

Quite a deal - not unlike the bar scene in the movie 'Star Wars' as it turns out.

I know, bro. I'm just talking to all the AN naysayers. the best of growers can actually make that crap work. Krunchbubble makes AN work. His vert shows are amazing. While I don't like AN very much for a multitude of reasons. Krunchbubble doesn't have an issue. his yields can more than afford and justify it. wasn't trying to call anyone out either, was hoping people would go check his grow threads or gallery because it's sick. :)
LOL, I was just drooling over the pics in his thread when I flipped over here and read what you posted.
KB knows his shit for sure.

Can't talk shit about krunchbubble. look at his yields.. I do wonder how well he would do w some dynagrow bloom;)

hi toohigh

New bottle of Bud Factor X with different info on label - "contains 0.5% of Mg" WTF?

New bottle of Bud Factor X with different info on label - "contains 0.5% of Mg" WTF?

Just got a new bottle of Bud Factor X, and although the store I bought it from online had the old label with the 0 0 1 NPK + "fractioned plant extracts", same as the info on their website, but the new bottle I received no longer shows an NPK ratio - no Soluble Potash and no "Fractioned Plant Extracts". It only says it's got 0.5% Magnesium. It basically says it is a Mg supplement. Wasn't this supposed to be some high tech resistance stimulator/resin enhacer product? WTF, 80 bucks for 1L of 0.5% of magnesium?

Here is what the label says:

Bud Factor X

Bud Factor X can make all the difference if Magnesium deficiencies have been a problem. Your crop may need magnesium to help balance the use of high potassium fertilizers commonly used in the hydroponics industry. Use our Factor X and avoid common deficiency symtoms such as; intervein chlorosis in older leaves, curling of leaves upward along margins and marginal yellowing.

Bud factor X has been specially designed for use with all hydroponics, sphagnum, coco coir and soil growing mediums. Bud factor X has been developed for use with any and all hydroponic, aeroponic, drip irrigation, NFT, flood & drain and continuous liquid feed growing systems.

Guaranteed Analysis:
Magnesium (Mg) 0.5%
0.5% Water Soluble Magnesium (Mg)

"Derived from Magnesium Sulfate"

i'm sayin the dynabloom has all 16 essential minerals and other goodies are all thats needed to produce top quality meds. it's cheap. it's concentrated. a gallon will get a lot of people through their grows stand alone.

Dyna-Gro (and their line of products) have 2 things that preclude it from being accepted by NGW and the operations that they supply.

  1. Their market-penetration into mainstream outlets (particularly orchids and other flower growers) into general nurseries and garden centers preclude their products from having any kind of exclusivity like other products do at indoor garden store-type operations.
  2. They lack really cool graphics which from what I can tell is much of the attraction to some product lines.
  3. They don't cost enough.
Other than that they're moving along rather nicely from what I can tell. I see their products at every nursery in Oregon.

I found this on another board Budfactor X

I found this on another board Budfactor X

is combines two of their now discontinued products, Scorpion Juice and Colossal Bud Blast...perhaps something else? Anyway....Scorpion Juice induced the SAR reaction in plants...causing them to think they are being attacked by some illness...what this reaction does is causes the immune system to turn on...making the plant stronger and more resilient to disease but also inhibits more oil production as well....

Colossal Bud Blast was a growth hormone....now AN has combined both of them together...

that is all

Bud Candy is....Sweet Leaf + ...I cannot recall their B vitamin product....but Bud Candy in addition to having what was in Sweet, plus the full suite of B vitamins...it also has the full suite of amino acids too....

my one big complaint about advanced is there cryptic descriptions of there supplement products. there is literally no info about as an example bud factorx what is it? is it simply a salicyclic acid product or something more? i want info about any product im spending money on.

Every time they combine products they fuck shit up. (sorry for being so technical) monkey juice is sensi AB and sensical-mg. how many bottles precipitated before I even unpacked them??? ALL! I know some people who swore by scorpion juice. Why would anyone want to "simulate" an infestation, or viral attack? how is stress going to play out in the long run? is this is why the calc is 7 weeks??? Well... because thats how long your plants will live if you followed their feed charts!!!

CC: I know hydrofarm used to distribute it, but dumped it and think NGW took it on now. could be mistaken. I see their neem and Pro-Tekt everywhere. Have to order the ferts sometimes. it's not too often someone growin dope uses the stuff, as they don't advertise in max yield, or indoor gardener. I think NGW looks for companies that will promote and advertise their products before they will distribute them.

I don't know if it's a marketing ploy ?? LOL

I don't know if it's a marketing ploy ?? LOL

i agree mostly but on the subject of stress and adaptation i disagree. a stress response in most organisms simply promotes strength and better immunity or the organism dies. if it does not kill you it makes you stronger. cannabis often increases volatile resin output when stressed it has a number of other adaptive factors as well. as an example when a mammal works out endurance or strength it causes stress. weightlifting causes microscopic muscle tears which result in new muscle fibers endurance stress causes forming of new more efficient mitochondria. all organisms react to stress factors and become stronger or die. when we top cannabis it immediately sends out hormones to new shoots this type of reaction is common. salicyclic acid causes similar benefits to the plants immunity. aspirin can to some degree be used for this though as asprin is synthetic salicyclic acid.

and in some cases, severe stress kills weightlifters, runners, and will kill or sometimes herm cannabis. I don't really have plant health issues, and I would say I have plenty of trichs on my buds. never needed to stress a plant, but to finish it outside before first rain..
I have had my share of f ups. don't get me wrong. and yes they triched out pretty hard. just wish they yielded like they should.

i have been told alot of these changes of labels have to due with the new laws and regulations in cali and other states with containing certain ingrediants.... i know that in my field of work alot of companies dont show certain ingrediants or cant label there materials certain things to get around these laws. its a big game to avoid having thier products restricted or banned in certain areas

my one big complaint about advanced is there cryptic descriptions of there supplement products. there is literally no info about as an example bud factorx what is it? is it simply a salicyclic acid product or something more? i want info about any product im spending money on.
