Well if he ws trying to piss of Dana White he did a good job at it " Anderson might be the first champion to ever fight in the preliminary fights" he also said " I don't know how yet but I plan on making it up to the people that matter most, the fans".

And also BJ didn't look at all like normal. He looked almost in a daze too. Makes you wonder if him and Anderson where smoking some of that Abui Dabi doobie special before the fights.

something was definitely up with bj. he looked dehydrated, maybe he never recovered from the weight cut this time. gotta give it up to frank edgar, friggin' cardio BEAST. that guy might have the best cardio in the ufc. but all in all penn did not look right from the moment he was walking to the cage.

I agree Frankie had the better cardio but still thought BJ won the fight. It was close though and BJ definately didnt seem his normal (last couple fights). Maybe he underestimated Edgar.. He shouldnt have left it in the judges hands...

Whos looking forward to shogun machida rematch? any picks?

Im going with Machida I think by now he has a answer for the leg kicks.

ed soares (anderson manager) is saying he shut down because he couldn't find his range. lolz, straight bullshit. anderson had a 5inch reach. he *could* have forrest griffin'd maia and we all know that.

demians 5th round blitz was fucking awesome, shut eye, broken nose, on his knees swinging. the man earned his moral victory. :D almost made up for andersons clowning.

Silva can kneel and bow all he wants, but that fight was 100% disrespectful.

I almost don't like the guy at all anymore. I'd pay money to see a GSP superman punch timed with Andersons hand's down chin out taunt.

I think anderson will really hurt GSP but will all depend on the takedown. I also hope that Dana reconsiders putting off the fight as I think it would be the most watched UFC in history. Although another fight relatively quick to let Anderson show to those who question that hes still worthy may be a good idea.

No picks on Shogun/Machida fight?

I like Machida. I predict Shogun getting wild and getting caught and dropped.

And back to the BJ Penn fight it was deffinatley a close fight and I could understand it going either way. But the one judge scored the fight 45/50 edgar? He didn't win all 5 rounds. I wonder what qualifies these idiots to be judges? Is it there vantage point that could be the difference? I think its harder to see the action from the crowd than it is on tv. But I never been cageside yet either so im not sure how good of a veiw they can get? Plus they only have one angle to the fight.

I think they have the three judges sat in different areas but I could be wrong. I didnt know that one card had edgar winning all 5 rounds thats retarded and just pisses me off more. I like the prediction could easily see it going that way. Dont believe Machida will eat those leg kicks this time and that should make a big difference.

Funny stuff, I have seen a interview with sores and he said that Silva would fight hvy weights ... I think hes out of his mind. Lesnar or carwin are way to massive for him to have a chance

Sounds like BJ peen might get a rematch right away according to his site. I like the idea of a rematch but think there are others that deserve a shot too Grey Maynard and maybee Florian.

WOW s4l!!!

gonna have to do some research on this one...though if she feels like practicing her triangle choke, im a willing participant!

alright, just got done watching the strikeforce fights....kinda snoozers if you ask me. Hendo vs Shields wasnt bad. Hendo got schooled though.

thats not what im here to talk about though.

the post fight brawl involving Shelds' camp threw me for a loop. Mayhem was obviously let into the cage by the promotion...how else could he get by all the security? its common for a fighter to come into the cage to "call out" a fighter to hype the promotion's next card, but for Melendez to take offense and start throwing punches?? thats just bad for everyone.

its my hope that some sort of action is taken against Melendez, Diaz and all the other fighters involved. You cant really fault Mayhem, all he could do was defend against the onslaught.

OH!!! and Mauro Ranallo....you suck pal. for you to call that "disgusting" and blame Mayhem is despicable. Mayhem was doing (IMHO) what the promotion asked of him, and that is hyping their next card.

before you get on me about being on Mayhem's sack, i would take this stance no matter who the guy getting stomped was.

ok cant comment on the last fight or what ER was saying about miller. I can say that I was suprised aoki couldnt get his submission game going any better than that and was impressed with Melendez. I thought mo turned out to be unusually boring choosing to wrestle for the majority of the match and thought moussasi seemed complacent. Having missed the main event I cant say the two matches I seen was very impressive.

ok watched that clip and I agree with you completely. It looked like strikeforce was trying out for professional wrestling ... wow my jaw hit the ground unbelievable all the work dana has done making it a 'sport' and these idiots could ruin it in a evening

mayhem is supposed to fight lawler next, so him jumping in the cage and asking shields for a rematch was just stupid.

but all the guy really wanted was some tv time. shields was really his only angle to get in the cage and say something. :z
