Okay so i had to pay 200 bucks to get my medical card renewed, now i'm good for another year.

Genetics:Alright so i got two plants vegging right now, i plan to keep them as mothers. I'm not gonna lie i don't know the strains name, i've smoked the bud from the plants on multiple occasions and it is a fast finisher, a hybrid, and very smelly and resinous.

Gear:
600 watt electronic ballast, Brand new hortilux 600 bulb
Batwing Reflector
6" inline fan
homemade carbon filter
room temperature controller/ thermostat
digital thermometer and hygrometer
4 x 5 gallon jugs for hauling water back and forth from R/O machine
pack of orange zig zags to roll up doobies while i work.

Soil I've decided that its time to give organics a go. My first few grows were soil-less mixes that i watered with hydro nutrients. Now that i've been researching for a while now and got a couple grows under my belt, its my belief that organic soil is the way for me to grow. I made my own mix, its about 40% blackgold peatmoss 40% perlite, 20% worm castings. I added kelp meal, and the mycorrhizal fungus. Also i added dolomite lime at 2 tbs per gallon. I only mixed up about 20 gallons of soil, i'm gonna mix up some more later on. For flowering, im gonna mix up some bat guano teas. The soil the plants in the veg cabinet are in is LC's Mix with the blood meal, bone meal and kelp meal.

Veg cabOkay so i got two mother plants in the veg room. Which is basically a cabinet from home depot made to be lightproof. The cab is about 1ft6inx4ftx6ft. The light is a 400 watt hps magnetic ballast. 400 watt hortilux eye bulb.

Flower Room
I've been putting a lot of thought into my flower room. I would like to make something permanent, build and frame a room and insulate it, but that's just not practical right now and i've decided to just buy a grow tent and maybe later on make a more permanent a/c controlled room. I need the tent, but my plants are still not big enough to clone yet, so i think i will order the tent soon and start flowering as soon as possible. I might only flower 10 plants, we will see how things fit.

I took 15 clones this morning, i just dipped them into powdered rooting hormone and put them in perlite suspended over a tray that wicks the water up through the perlite. I have one of those heated mats too that i put under the tray and also i have a humidity dome over the top. Now im just waiting on my grow tent to finish getting everything ready. i plan on vegging them for no more than 2-3 weeks.

Okay i need some advice. My clones are 9 days in at this point and i can't find any visible roots yet, i plan to wait at most 5 more days and at that point ill put them into soil. What i need advice on is what to flower in. I have a 600 watt hps hortilux bulb electronic ballast setup and i just need a flowering room at this point. Is it cheaper to frame and build a a/c controlled room or stick a 6 in inline fan in a grow tent. Also i don't want people to hear the fan and i know those inlines are loud. I want this to be stealth as much as possible.I'm the only one who knows i have my card, well besides icmag Also my goal is basically to grow more than i can smoke so therefore i'm not paying for it anymore. My card legally allows me to have a pound and a half so that's what i would like to yield every two months. What size room do i need to yeild 1.5 pounds. How many 600 watts do i need?

Okay so i know you all want pictures, well it just so happens i've decided to frame up a grow room. I'll take pictures as i go and show before and after pictures of the space. I gotta lot of work ahead of me but i should have 15 plants in the flower room by the end of the week. Ill get some pics up of some gear and plants and shit tomorrow.

My 15 clones are dead, i fucked them up bad. I'm goin back to my old bubble cloner with a fish tank heater in there. I usually see roots in 7 days. My mother plants aren't looking the greatest, They were root bound in little 1 liter pots so i gave them about two gallons of soil and now they're on the rebound. They started yellowing a bit and im not sure if its lack of nitrogen or what. I was thinking bout making a tea of kelp meal or something. I plan on picking up some black strap molasses as I've heard it helps in organics. Any and all advice is appreciated. Waiting till i get payed to start construction on the grow room or my tax returns, which ever comes first.

Started Framing the room

Started Framing the room

Okay so after about 3 to four hours of stacking, moving, a little demolition and a trip to the lumber yard here is where I'm at.
picture.php

I've designed the room to be 8ft x 6ft and 8ft tall. I'm going to insulate between the floor boards before i laydown some plywood. I plan to insulate the whole room and try to make it somewhat sound proof.

picture.php

Here you can see the one 20 amp circuit i have ran to the space. I busted one of the outlets up during demoltion so i just flipped the breaker off until i rewire it. I plan on running another 20 amp circuit to the growspace. Once i insulate the floor i will do the flooring and then start the framing of the outside two walls and get the door ready to be hung.

picture.php

Thats all i got for right now, i transplanted my two rootbound mother plants and they are recovering. I can post pictures of them if someone would like . I noticed some slight yellowing on the tips, and they are in organic soil with lime to adjust to ph so i don't think its ph

Bump.. just thought i would drop in and show you the bubble cloner i've created and show you it in action. It's just a simple plastic tub painted with spray paint first a coat of black then a coat of white. Then its just a matter of drilling the holes of the inserts that hold the stem ( mine are made from the blue water noodle at the store for like a dollar. ) after that you just add your air pump and water heater/ and or heating mat underneath and clone away.

I picked up some purple bud today so i thought i would show off my fancy macro skills before i smoked it all.

I wish i had more to show you all but i'm just waiting until payday until i go on any further. I might just make a few orders with a credit card and pick up a grow lab 120 and get some plants flowering, i'm tired of wasting time, these clones were put in yesterday so i figure in 5-12 days they will have roots and then i will veg them for probably 1-2 weeks maybe in my 400w hps cabinet and then flower them.

Just ordered a GL120, it was 250 bucks shipped, which i think is a fair price. I plan on using a 6inch inline fan on a speed control pulling air through the carbon filter and then the easy cool 6 reflector, and then out of the tent and then out the window so this will get rid of the heat. I might just go with the 4 inch inline high output something like 200 cfm does anyone know if that would be enough for a 600w air cooled in a gl120? My next step is to order some more stuff wen i get payed like some organic ferts and containers, probably 3 gallon flowering pots. I still have lots to do, finish my flooring, and instead of building a room i'm just gonna do one wall on the side for the tent to hide behind. It was much more practical at the moment seeing as if i would have framed a room it would have cost out the ass and i wouldn't have any plants flowering while i save money for the room, but now my grow tent is on the way and i'll be able to get this show on the road.

way to hang in there man, with no replies yet -- just keep doing your thing. the audience will follow. i was going to say forget the wick cloner and buy a rubbermaid tote, 10 gallon (or smaller) submersible fish tank heater, and an air pump/stone. but it sounds like you already did that (great idea with the swimming noodles lol it's all about functionality. good stuff!). nice work on framing too. shit i wish i could throw something like that together. i re-wired the outlets in my house so i could have 3-prong plug-ins instead of the 1950's no-ground ones already there, and fucking felt like Mike Holmes. :smoke: lookin good, lookin good. just keep it simple with the soil mix. too much stuff going on in arbitrary ratios (blood meal, bone meal, dolomite, perlite, etc.) and you might run into complications from ph and the like. folks who get that in-depth usually live and breath this shit, and from what i can tell you are just a med patient looking to maximize your stash in terms of quality and quantity. so keep it simple especially in the first few runs. try a nice pre-mixed soil (Fox Farm Ocean Forest, or Happy Frog - my fav) and combine it with whatever de-riching agent (i just made that term up lol) you want. i like the botanicare bricks of coco. cheap as hell; just add water till you get a nice dark, moist growing medium, then mix it maybe 30-40% or thereabouts with the soil. Happy Frog has the microcorrihaze stuff already in it, along with some wormcastings, guano, etc. and it is all mixed in the right proportion when you take it out of the bag so no guesswork.

well, keep fighting the good fight and the killer herb will come. your veggies are lookin good actually. maybe trim some of the lower shit on the second one -- no sense having anything except main stem within three-four inches above the soil, unless you are just letting the lower tips grow out for cloning (lower branches do clone the fastest, for sure).

when you said something about only you knowing about your card... yet there's a pic of a dude in your avatar i assume is you lol made me laugh my ass off if security is a concern i would change your avatar (probably isn't you :p) take it easy and thanks for the compliments and stopping by my thread. security has turned number-one concern for me, so i probably won't be making too many posts in the days ahead but do your thing and stay safe my friend

on the security note... i honestly don't know so maybe i'm just paranoid, but using an iphone to take your pics -- is that safe? i know when i take naked pics of the girl i happen to be banging at the time (lol) it sends copies to an online library (like sprint/verizon/at&t/whatever.com). not sure if iphone does that too. ? just an afterthought

Hey thanks for stopping by khaleel, yea sometimes i feel like i'm talking to myself here but i figure "if i build it, they will come" so i just keep on keepin on. Yea i don't trust my iphone i usually don't even text message anything drug related. I feel like i'm starting to get a feel for organics. Only problem is around here getting good soil is tuff like the fox farms or even the promix. I Probably will have to mix my own soil but as long as i follow someones recipe everything should be ok (i hope). And no the avatar isn't of me haha but there is a video that goes with it, it might give ya a quick laugh. You tube video Alright well thanks again for stopping by and take it easy. I'm about to blast a joint and go spend some quality time with the plants.

I'm in the house now fo sho :D

What's up Hovz?

Had any slime issues with the bubble cloner yet? I had one that had a white top and got a bit of algae, I've gone to oasis cubes now.

Just one little tip if you're cool with it,

Your clones are too leafy, much more greens than needed for good rooting, I generally clip the ends of most of the leaves that remain on the clone so it puts more energy into root development. Cloning seems to be faster for me with lower light levels as well.

Glad to read you're going organic. I was pseudo organic with a soil less mix and bottled organics. Thought I'd switch to a complete soil mix at the end of the year. Ended up making a mix a week and a half ago and glad I did. I'm water and tea feeding only now.

Best thing I ever did...... of course I have access to all the raw components for such so it's a bit easier for me.

Good luck man, I'll be watching

Hey there Smiley :tiphat:

I haven't had any slime issues yet with the bubble cloner, but I'll defiantly be on the lookout now. Any and all advice is welcome here man, I was wondering if a haircut would help, i'll do that later today and i just figured out that low light levels is better for cloning, i think that's what killed my last batch in rockwool cubes i had 6 of those floro bulbs over them, but now i've switched to just the two. Organic gardening is really fun for me and i think its the only way to go. I was checking out your thread and i was impressed, its very clean. Thanks for stopping in, ill cya around.

I

I

Just a lil update, i went to check on the plants in the bubble cloner yesterday and here is what i found.
picture.php

Some of them have defiantly started growing roots. This makes me a happy camper. My tent is scheduled to arrive on monday and i just made another couple orders for the last of my gear for this grow. In celebration i think i will load up some bubble hash.
picture.php

A nice hash bowl loaded.
picture.php

I somehow managed to take a pic of myself smoking hash, it was no easy task. A saying i once heard " If it doesn't bubble it isn't worth the trouble" and this hash indeed bubbles. I had two different grades a darker and a lighter brighter colored and the lighter colored hash was really good, but the darker is still very strong.

Next step on my build is to finish the flooring up and get it ready for the tent to be assembled. I'm not going to frame the rest of the room for right now i might make a temporary wall just to hide the tent behind. The tent will just sit in the 8x6' space, this will even give me workspace and i can even fit some shelves to hold nutrients and a workspace where i can take clones and brew teas and sit and spend some quality time with the plants.

Heres the soil mix i plan to use for this run
LC’s Soiless Mix #1:
5 parts Canadian Spaghnam Peat or Coir or Pro-Moss
3 parts perlite
2 parts wormcastings or mushroom compost or home made compost
Powdered (NOT PELLETIZED) dolomite lime @ 2 tablespoons per gallon or 1 cup per cubic foot of the soiless mix.
...Wal-Mart now sells worm castings.

Veg mix-
1/3 cup Peruvian Seabird Guano (PSG)
1/3 cup High N Bat Guano (Mexican)
1/3 cup Earth Worm Castings (EWC)
5 tsp. Maxicrop 1-0-4 powdered kelp extract
(That makes the "dry mix". You can make all you want and save it to use later.)
Mix with water @ 1 cup of dry mix into 5 gallons of water to make the tea.
To that 5 gallons of tea add:
5 tbs. Liquid Karma
5 tbs. Black Strap Molasses
Use it to water with every 3rd watering.

Flowering nute tea mix:
2/3 cup Peruvian Seabird Guano
2/3 cup Earth Worm Castings
2/3 cup High P Guano (Indonesian or Jamaican)
5 tsp. Maxicrop 1-0-4 powdered kelp extract
(That makes the "dry mix". You can make all you want and save it to use later.)
Mix with water @ 2 cups of dry mix into 5 gallons of water to make the tea.
To that 5 gallons of tea add:
5 tbs. Liquid Karma
5 tbs. Black Strap Molasses

I've ordered everything to follow this recipe so this is what ill be using. Does anyone know if i could also hit them with a tea made from some budswel tea, it Contains earthworm castings, bat and seabird guano. its 0-7-0 so it's just a High P fertilizer so i could just replace it with 2/3 cup of High P Guano correct? I have it and i've heard it works well so i want to use it. Anyway ill update more as things happen.
