As a doctor I have of course formulated a theory on nasal follicles
back in my younger days, when i would snort other items..I had noticed that my nose hairs seemed to be growing somewhat faster than normal.
Well why do we have hair there anyway? It is the bodies first line of filtration for nose breathing. The multitude of hairs and mucous, collect airborne contaminents, and prevent us from inhaling dust, bugs, pollen, etc.
Well you introduce a foreign substance to said nasal cavity, and the body turns up the power to that area and increases growth. You smoke weed, it tends to dry out your nasal cavity, thus forcing the body to increase hair production to account for the lack of mucous.
You pluck out hairs, you irratate the area, and again decrease the bodies defense system.
Why men have more hairs there? The next time you are driving look at opposing drivers and count how many men you see with their finger up their nose, as opposed to how many women.
what i would like an answer to is, ear hair....why now?
burning them out with a Bic smells like hell & we won't even MENTION popping the blisters that form in yer schnoz. this was an accident, by the way...
i have dreads in my nose and ear hair................

As you get older it gets worse,barber spends more time cliping nose and ear hair than cutting my hair nowadays
