seems as if diff strains react differently to the led/hps lighting.... could b interesting to look at in the future... maybe leds bulk slower indicas more than sativas etc... my test will be coming soon... just waiting to crop out my main room before i reconfigure everything

Like the difference Between Sun and Moon. You could just recirculate through your filter. No need to vent outside, because there's no heat to get rid of. Could vent out of a box/closet into a room. No losing all that AC to the exhaust vent! No need to cut a hole in an exterior wall or try to vent into the attic etc.​

yea, cali, the hps is winning. I've dropped the micro from the nutes. The Sugar Shack is getting no nutes. I'll take it at 55 days. that's like the end of the week?

lolz @ unc that nerdgazm was lovely. grats at ur new hardware.

To me, seeing the LED get this far is a win for me.. I would gladdy sacrafice 10-20% final weight to get my room cooler. Heck getting my room cooler might increase my yields in the end.

And at half the power consumption. People we are on the verge of revolution.

Haze you mentioned the SD starting to go into its ripe phase on the HPS side.. As we all know this is the best part of the plants life when the plant uses all its sugars and energy and transfers it to the fruit...

I recently read that LEDS of the past have struggled in this phase.. having a hard time tricking the plants to do this.. I believe it had a lot to do with intensity of light and more about spectrum.... but i wonder with the LED sour disels looking so green if this is an example of this.?

Idk could be wrong.. im no expert.. but would like to hear what ledgirl has to say on this.

OH I just remembered. the ariticle was in maximum yield. You guys should check it out.. Its really good.. I remember in the past MY was stating leds are not a good product to light ur gardens yet.. but when they are we will be there to cover it... they have run a 3 issue long story on leds.

Haze.. I know leds usualy do a better job at like 24" but acording to this article.. when the ripining phaze starts u should drop that led light closer..

looking good hazy - very interesting how some of the strains seem pretty equal and the chem 4 is so different - would you say the chem on the LED side is less ripe than the hps?

what im also really interested in is your opinion of the potency. hard to be objective about it but i suspect that the MMG i gew under LED is a bit stronger that when i grew it under hps - certainly it is not lacking at all!

Day 52 - the chop nears!

Day 52 - the chop nears!

VG~ I took 3 chem 4 cuts and one of them grew twice as fast as these two, just after rooting. These two were pretty close till I started this run and flipped them. The hps side Chem4 was a little bigger, then I gave it veg nutes during the stretcg by mistake.May have contributed to it's height.

On the ripening thing I'll look at trichomes tonight and give a report on % cloudy or amber. The Sugar Shack is finishing fast. I'll take it by Saturday. That will be 55 days for it.

I took a pretty good look at the Sour Diesels and I think they both go over 2 ounces. I hope. The hps one may be a bit more, but I'm thinking not as much more as the big buds make it look like. I may give one more feeding of just bloom, then flush till the end.
