Our old avocado tree took a long time to make any fruit. After like three to four years of tending it, my parents decided to give up. They just started throwing compost onto it, and forgot about it...then one day there were three avocadoes!! lol and that was about it...Good while it lasted.

Yea, they take a long time to fruit. Thats ok, we just bought this house at the end of '08 and we plan on having it a while. I can be patient for my guacamole. It will be well worth it when I wont have to spend $1.00 each on thoes damn things! Im dreaming of a tree that produces more avacados than I can eat!.... and I'll be standing out on the corner, giving away bags em!

LOL Yeah we moved away from that house with the avocado tree, so I dunno how it is doing now. We moved to the high deserts and it is a PITA to grow anything, except my mom's friend somehow can grow whatever she wants She has the greenest thumb I've ever known. I bet she could grow pounds of cannabis if she wanted to.

Have you ever broke up some real pollen-y weed and started sneezing? My favorite smell is fresh-cut hay and grass.

The Gap use to have perfume that smelled like fresh cut grass. I loved it. This was like 15 years ago so I don't know if I could find it again.
